Sooooo many hidden things in that game... Awesome vid my friend. Can you guys imagine playing this without a guide and the internet? I certainly CAN'T. Thanks!
If you start at the first bonfire, go through the fog gate and you'll run into 2 giant skeletons and a giant skeleton archer. Behind the archer should be a corpse. Walk off and you'll drop onto a ledge. Follow that around and you should find it. When you grab the ring, you'll be surrounded by those bone towers so watch out. Hope that helped. They're some videos on RU-vid if you can't find it.
@Sileosoltice You can purchase it from Quelana of Izalith. She can be found in the swamps of Blighttown near the waterwheel. You needed to have a +10 Pyromancer Flame for her to appear pre-patch. I don't know what changes they've made.
sometimes, when a player meets the initial challenge a game presents, they start to make their own personal restrictions to give new life to a game they enjoyed. lvl caps in Dark Souls is effectively the same thing as not picking up any health capsules in Cave Story.
@andrew3327820 The armor is part of the Gold-Hemmed Black Set which can be found in Demon Ruins beside Ceaseless Discharge. The sword is an Uchigatana. You can kill the male merchant in Undead Burg or purchase it from Shiva of the East for 5000 souls.
Also, if you have a Lloyds Talisman, you can throw it at mimics to reset their drop, if you see the item in their mouth as they sleep kill it then and it will drop it
@Projectloud08 I wouldn't mind playing without the internet. I love that feeling when you get a new game and you have no idea what you're doing. I rarely ever look up stuff unless I can't find it after a thorough search. I understand where you're coming from though. This game has a lot of stuff that you can miss.
@Donnerhosen Had I said nothing, the end result would be still be the same for most. Personally, I hate any spoilers that may ruin a surprise for me. It's like reading a summary for a movie before you go and watch it, knowing what's ahead ruins the initial reaction that a person might have. I try to take that into consideration when I make videos to help people. Hopefully, from now on anyone who died from this will know to check chests before they try to open it.
@C7EA I NEVER use guides, cause if you look, usually, you can find stuff, and that is the type of player that I am. But in Dark Souls!? For example, I was looking at a HUGE KNIGHT on a wall next to a bonfire in Andor Londo... I look down and there's a note saying "Need Ring"... I'm like, well, yeah, sure, thanks for the help... I have like 30 rings... Guessing whatever to put... Endend up opening a path to a covenant... There's no way you can guess that. Or THE coffin in the Catacombs. Come on!
You miss out on some side story. You can get a Titanite Slab if you complete his story-line though. It's nothing game breaking if you accidentally killed him. There's always the next play through.
Thanks :) funny ending lol so what does this ring do? does it increase the the item drop rate? it raised the item discovery to 300, is it the same as "item drop rate"
He mightve been working his uchi to a chaos. Which is great for if the player doesnt want to pump thousands of souls to level up for scaling. Just scale with humanities. Also will keep your sl down and youll get in more pvp
Hey c7ea have you found the silver serpents ring I found it my first play through I'm going through the game at level 25 as my level cap but I forgot where the ring is I know it's in the tomb of giants but I can't remember where I need it for my 25 so I can farm souls to upgrade my equipment
+J BW You've probably figured this out long ago, but the only way out is to go down further. There's a doorway to get you back up, but it's a long slog through tar to get there (unless you have the rusty iron ring from revisiting the sanctuary).
I just figured out revisiting the sanctuary is not even enough, you have to grab a key, I think it was on the corpse that is laying on the ceiling of that hall you walk past when going to the raven's nest. Revisiting the Sanctuary does give you that doll thingy you need to enter the painted world though, so sooner or later you'll want to visit it anyways.
@BalisticKnife32 Quelana of Izalith sells it to you for 20,000 souls. She can be found in the swamp of Blighttown. Your Pyromancy Flame has to be at least +10 or she won't appear.
