Dark Souls - Favourite Builds 

My favorite Sekiro build is ‘guy with sword’. Basically I have a sword, and I swing it at people, and then I wiggle it around when they swing back. That’s the build.

I always go for a Paladin build in pretty much every fantasy rpg i play, blunt weapons, holy magic, and big armor

Great video! I'm playing Dark Souls on Switch. So I'm going to try some of these out. It also makes me want to replay 2 and 3 just to try some out. I always love how your characters look. In Bloodborne I use the axe and the threaded cane. The cane reminds me of Castlevania which I love!

My favorite build in DS1 is a Kalameet cosplay: 20 strength, 16 dexterity, Black Knight Armor, Dragon Head, and the Obsidian Greatsword with a Charcoal Pine Resin buff. It's a more gimmicky version of the Giant Dad build, slightly less effective but a lot more fun in my opinion. My favorite build in DS2 is having 60 strength and powerstancing the Aged Smelter/Smelter Sword. Using the unique L2 attack of the powerstanced Smelter Swords is the most fun you can have in the game. In DS3, by far my favorite build is a Lightning Caster: 60 faith, a Lightning-Infused Lothric War Banner and the Rose of Ariandel, with Lightning Arrow, Lightning Storm, and Lightning Stake/Sunlight Spear. This build is outrageously powerful in both PVE and PVP; using the Talisman's Unfaltering Prayer WA while casting, it can out-trade almost every weapon in the game, even some Ultra Greatswords, and Sunlight Spear/Lightning Stake can potentially one-shot other players even at SL 120. It's amazing in invasions, and in duels it's virtually unbeatable.

My favorite builds are... For mages, a sorceress/pyromancer build. Though my main build is a greatsword and medium shield knight with medium armor, attempting to focus more on damage and mobility, so I use Havel's Ring so I'm never overencumbered. Though for Fashion Souls, my favorite armors include some kind of robed or cloaked armor like the Fallen Knight Armor, a large mage's hat like the Sage's Giant Hat or Logan's Hat with some kind of knight gauntlet or leggings. What made builds fun in II was that you could dual wield any weapon as long as you met the requirements to one hand the weapon.

Well, in my first playthrough I just starter on the remaster, I realized that with 28 strength, Favor and Protecion and Havel rings I could use the entire Iron Tarkus Armor set and his big-ass shield two-handed and nothing else, and still be quick enough for my liking.

Still waiting for the Dane-axe to be implemented in games. It was the first polearm/halberd, with the strong but lightweight axehead also working as a spear, and could pull shields away, and could even be used as a knockel in close combat.

I think my favorite builds for ds3 are a strong dex scythe build and miracle-pyro build with dark straight sword

Anything that pokes is for me, plus faith spells to buff is always welcome

Power stancing is, in my opinion at least, the best mechanic DS2 introduced, sure it had it's flaws (like being completely unexplained, meaning some people never realized that it exists, or some combinations being a bit op) But it gave soo many options, of combining weapons together, even weapons from different classes. Sure, we got paired weapons in DS3, a bit of a successor, but they still feel a bit limited, even after both DLCs came out (we still don't have paired rapiers, halberds, greatswords, great hammers and great axes) So it's a real shame that out of the very few things DS3 took from DS2, power standing wasn't amongst them.

Standard Greatsword is all you need when you have Guts

One of my builds in Dark Souls 2 is a dex build with low vigour (for the Flinn ring). The idea was a spearman using Pates spear while holding a greatshield who cowerd behind it and basically is a distraction so that the host cant attack the boss. As for aesthetics; In Dark Souls 1 it would be Silver Knight Sword, full Catarina set and Silver Knight Shield. In Dark Souls 2 its Knight Helmet (the one with the visor up), Alvas Armour, Auros Leggings, any metallic gauntlets, Sunlight Straight Sword and Mirrah Shield. And in Dark Souls 3 the Sunset Set and Claymore is a win for me.

I generally go dex/int for slinging spells and cutting through foes. DS3 heavily punished me for that XD

I've only played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1, but I already think I have my 2 favourite kinds of build down. The OP Big Sword Man and a Dex Ninja (with the Uchigutana if it's available)

I usually go for things that look at and play good or challenge cosplays. I always try to go for a Belmont build in all games, since Dark Souls is what Castlevania should've evolved into. Bloodborne made that perfect, but I still do it. I also go for Berserk runs with big swords and high strength. What I usually prefer is just polearms (but not all of them) that slow me to space well and both poke and sweep. On PS3, weapon arts are insanely cool so it's different, going for uchigatana build there is fun, although any longsword is insanely useful.

My builds are usually all about the fashion lol my preferred build is using light armor, a bow for range and two hanging a straight sword, I like to think of my character as a skilled swordsman who doesn't use a sheild.

I have always finished the first dark souls with the artorias greatsword. I've started all kinds of builds, but I always end up sliding into two-handing a greatsword

I only like doing Quality builds because I like both Dex and Strength but I dint mix some weapon buffs in there

Naked with massive hammer (asylum demon hammer, than smough hammer once available) is my fav to go for

My main character’s build on Dark Souls: Remastered is a high dexterity, light weight, swords master. Fast rolling is a necessity. Quick attacks, Parrying, and backstabbing as much as possible. The main weapons I use are curved swords, daggers, thrusting swords, light weight swords, bows, and light shields. I also incorporate stealth when possible. No magic though. My most important attributes are Dexterity and Endurance.

Currently in my ds1 playthrough as I’m kinda unhinged playing it multiple times for trying multiple builds, I currently have a sorceress, with power within, and the moonlight butterfly horn, which in all honesty I never expected to be a good weapon, but it is for when the magic wind up takes too long

My favourite builds are ones that use unconventional unused weapons that dont usually do good damage and foce them to do great/average damage but destroy people because there not used to fighting the move set and another archetype i usually go for is the tank mage

I love using ultra greatswords, just annoyed that the best one in ds3, Astoras greatsword is best as a dex weapon

I think my favorite ds1 build I ever played with was a dex pyro(tho in that game anything can be pyro with just some attunement). I tried to really build around it for a specific aesthetic most of the game, using a falchion and farming early for tons of charcoal pine resin, buffing with power within(also where I learned the resin gets buffed from 80 to 112 by PW). Tended to avoid a shield on that build too. Quelaags would probably do a lot more damage but it was damn ugly so nah. I suffered a lot dying to PW unintentionally but eventually you get the hang of it. In all the other games tho I love love love big tanky strength builds because of the hyper armor mechanics. Heavy Great Axe in DeS, Gyrm GH in Ds2, and pretty much all of the UGS and GH class in ds3. DS2 had the best casting options tho like you said, especially with buffs working with infusions rather than counter. My murakumo mage does obscene damage.

For me, it's all about Quelaag's Fury Sword. Get dex to 50 or higher, pop 10 humanity and then watch the HP bars just melt away. So OP!!

My favorite builds in every souls game: Demon Souls: Strength + Magic using The large sword of moonlight. Dark Souls: Strength build using Zweihander. Dark Souls 2: Strength build uising Greatsword. Dark Souls 3: Strength build using greatsword. Bloodborne: Strength build Ludwig's holy sword and Ludwig's uncanny sword and for magic build Moonlight sword and Ludwig's lost sword. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice: Being pro Elden Ring: Bleed + Arcane + intelligence build using Hookclaws and rivers of blood and and the staff that powers the magic spell (i don't know if it was Luzat staff or Azul staff)

Builds I reccomend can post builds if asked. Dex/Int Anti-Mage. Dex/Faith/Int Anti-Str Tank End/Resist/Vit Bleed Reaper Int/End Archer Assassin

In DS1 I liked the dark hammer dropped by the gaping dragon, although it really should have been more powerful. Later I'd replace it with man-serpent greatsword which is my favorite sword in DS1. My other favorite build is a paladin using that silver greathammer and also moveswapping it to turn it into a choo-choo train of pain. I also did an Artorias build, but meh I was just imitating the real boi. For DS2 I had so many builds I had to delete one or two characters. A mage with 0 magic and wielding 6 moonlight greatswords was fun. A mage with 5 moonlight greatswords and some actual spells was also great. I made a few lightning dudes who could one shot most enemies and if they didn't one shot players it'd at least make them panic. I made some friends on the iron bridge who nicknamed me Zeus. I also timed a shot vs an invader who ran away and hit him dead in the head and killed him. For DS3 I ended up needing 2 save files and deleted at least 5 characters permanently still. I like melee a lot more, but also love to mix it with some low tier spells. Pretty much everything works. I loved my original onion butcher who wielded Yorm's great machete with the FUGS. FUGS is also one of the best weapons ever for being so cool. The Astora swords are always good of course. Pyromancers are great all around. Clerics are fantastic. I even had fun as a mage. Everything just works in DS3 and I love it.

My first build for ds1 was a lightning spear and sheild. Then I added miricals once I understood how the game worked. Ds2 took me away with powerstancing. I did that with paired curved sword again plus miricals Then for ds3 I started as the herald of corse. But quickly advanced level to op cleric And ds 3

DS2 partisan with phoenix shield cuz it’s the best. armor is bandit mask, that undead guide dude’s chest piece, alonne’s pants, and i believe it’s called the sorcerer gloves. then pyromancy flames in both off hands with firestorm, dance of flame, great combustion, warmth, and fireball twice. i never really cared about levels so i was like 250 i think but god was that build so fun. partisan is by far my favorite weapon in both DS1 and 2

I like the build where I have a big sword and kill everything. In ds3 you can have a big sword that lets you do cool flips and that made me happy.

Ds1: Quelaag's furry sword with shield or zweihander. Ds2: short/long sword in Right hand, catalyst for spells in the left Ds3: Lothric sword with shield, or scythes. I like both the great scythe and Sister Friede's scythe.

Monster hunter favorite builds leaked?? Would love to see it. I love MH. Been having a blast with genU. Or maybe some Nioh/Bloodborne builds. Souls like builds maybe? But Ds2 is my favorite game for making builds. I loved making a ‘Duality Knight’ build with the Loyce armor and charred Loyce armor. If I died to a boss using the Loyce set up (Minus the helm) I’d switch to the Charred Loyce armor and swap the Ivory Kings sword for Raimes. It felt like I’d be coming back as a night of vengeance, and when I skated the boss I’d have ‘reclaimed’ my sanity and switch back to the Silver shiny armor of justice.

In Ds1 My fav buiild was black knight armor, gloves and legs with dragon covenant head with chaos blade in one hand and pyromancy in the other. that was mostly for pvp but I can be happy with most builds in DS1. Ds2 I just love exploring the variety. in pve i'll mow things down with something big and power stance fume sword with spider silk in pvp. DS3?? um.......... some cool outfits to cycle through and fast weapons are too good to ignore. chaos sellsword twinblades is a good go to.

For me it's these two builds which I've done in all souls games, including Sekiro with only the Faithful. The Faithful Sword and True quality, Midolin & Vinthrin respectively. The Faithful Sword Eastern inspired armor Sharp Uchigatana, Two Handed Faith or magic (depending on which gives purple buffs) BB - Chikage Se - Just Wolf with Lazi True quality Black Leather set L - R Shotel - long sword Long bows - great club BB - Kirk, bowblade, crow+any hunter helm. Basic either do well with one or adapt in any situation.

Dark Souls would be my standard paladin build Elite Helm, Elite Gloves and Legs with reg Knight armor. Claymore(Longsword at times XD) 40/40 dex. A little bit into Int and faith for the buffs depending on my mood. Dark Souls 2 and 3 yet to get into. Stuck on 1 lol and demon's souls. Good luck Alex. Great vids. Fist Bump!

Faviritw ds2 build is either anything to do with a rapier or naked person with big stick (i.e. no armor except a hat or crown, and a big club like giants club.)

I love the Tank/Cleric type of builds in Dark Souls. A sword/mace enhanced with magic and a shield. The stealth builds are cool too (shoutouts to Krazy999) combining Pyromancy and the DWGR to make a low level Ninja.

What mod are you using on dark souls one that makes that armor looks silver. Also the hair seems different, is it mod?

Dude, back in the day before they nerfed it, that ring that made you flip around was wild. There were people doing aerials in Havels 😂 Darkroot forest was awesome back then. Makes me miss those days. DS1 is a game that really enveloped me in terms of the meta game. Played that game more than any other game to this day I’d say. Several times a week I’d jump on for some PvP for like a solid year.

My favourite build I don't really have one for the first two but for ds3. Its either a dumb spellsword that I can only pull off by being super over leveled and having a dark drakeblood sword or astora great spear and heavy armor. Either way I prefer to use dark gems on my weapon. For bloodborne I have a really good idea on my favourite build cainhurst helm tomb prospector armor executioner gloves and the legs don't matter with the hunters saif and moonlight greatsword. I dont really use the guns as I am terrible with them.

Love my LITERAL Spellblade in Dark Souls 2- powerstancing a longsword in my off-hand with a Blue Flame in my main hand, casting sorceries if enemies are at range and comboing melee strikes if they get too close. +1 for fashion, I'll even tell you the armor I use: Desert Sorceress Hood (head) , Pate's Armor (chest), Knight Gauntlets (hands), and Falconer Boots (legs) also it must be on a female character otherwise Pate's Armor won't have that red cloth on the left arm which means it won't combo as well with the boots and hood.

Ds1 - kinda the same, except no buffs. Ds2 - Quality build (dark Knight/white knight), full magic (sorceries, miracles, hexes and pyromancies) and I think a rapier/katana build Ds3 - didn't played yet, but maybe I'll try a Scythe + hex build. Or I could follow your style (Wich I completely agree) and use the spear + miracles.

I’d honestly say my favorite build for ds3 was a 70 int build I kept through multiple new games. It allowed me to play both with stylish spells and just in a way I enjoy.

i know a bit "boring" maybe but my 2 fav DS2 build were basically "Ashen Knight Boyd" - royal soldier with estoc and mauldron cosplay.... - the estoc was so good in DS2 - loved the moveset and all, 1000% better then whatever abomination DS1/3 had... fucking dopy movement in them games give me depression when ever i see that wpn.... sigh gonna do a "soldier only" coop playthrough with a friend in DS2 soon - where we gonna play basegame as he never seen that one - gonna be good :D

My favorite build in bloodborne is a sort of quality jack of all trades build. Something bout a reiterpalsch shotgun with executioner gloves is jus really op n annoying to go against 🤣

I have put prolly like 5K+ hours into souls series easy all the way back from Demons Souls an I used longsword and buff like 90% of the time lol even if i tried something else I knew it was fighting what I truly wanted

God I want cool spears in dark souls the closest thing is like the splitleaf greasword in dark souls 3 but I dont like the spears in nioh much because they are difficult but the animations are super cool

In dark souls 3 my favorite build by far is the chaos/dark build where you use the zweihandler and lothric ss mostly.

I love being a pyro knight using pyromancies and long swords

The most fun build I’ve ever played has been my off brand Garnet cosplay build from DS3. Demons first in the left hand, heavy greatsword in the right, heavy armor, lots of health, but still able to med roll. She’s strictly physical, but so much fun in PVP. The fists are fantastic for duels, and you can use the weapon art to tank UGS hits. Where as the UGS in the right is great for doing massive damage, or breaking up ganks. Shit is so solid. Also, bit of a tangent, but FUCK EVERYONE who runs the straight sword + crossbow builds. They’re so unfun to fight against, and not interesting in the slightest.

my fav build in DS3 is currently "old man in rags with bandit knife" - also javeline and other miniscule gadgetry items to piss off ppl and im currently busy making invading me a "living hell" for invaders..... :D

I love how everyone talks about what an amazingly rich and deep RPG Dark Souls is, yet this builds video starts with "Doesn't matter. Make your weapons glow." lol

Keep in mind I don't stick to "meta level ranges" so my builds are way out of range (I also didn't bother with ds1 pvp): Edit: Why does it cross out my text? -In Ds1 I had a Chaos blade and the witch set but using the child mask, my shield was grass crest. My stats were 50 dex/Vig and 60 end. My rings were FaP and the ninja guys "Fun Rolls" ring. Basically play the Filthy Frank "Weeaboo" song. XD -In Ds2 I liked my STR/Dex build, I wore the Sanctum Knight Set (gauntlets boost poison weapons, legs reduce fall damage), my Vig/Vit/Str/Dex were 50, end and adp were 20. Weapons were the greatclub that gets S scaled strength, my secondary was a poison infused black scorpion stinger (dex builds up poison too is why I have it, also gives this weapon damage too), my shields were the throne defender shield and the small leather shield for parrying. My rings were the royal rat ring (adds + 100 poison to weaopons that have poison and are infused with it), Third dragon ring, Ring of Blades+2, and Chloranthy +2. My poison usually procket in 3-4 hits (2 on occasion) and then I would hound my enemy with the great club so they couldn't cure it- they either had to kill me fast or find a way to get off a cure (then I would just proc it again). Basically its a set built to pressure my opponents. -In Ds3 I switch around because I cannot find anything I like, I am currently just using exile set with chloranthy, fap, and haval rings +3 and the hornet ring. My shields being yhorm and the small leather shield. Exile greatsword, miracals for buffs. Being honest its not that fun- 3 feels very restrictive in terms of builds as if you don't use a meta weapon or build you just get destroyed. The closest thing I has to actual fun despite losing every time is my joke builds. -One Joke build was: Pretty Princess Build (despite my character being male) *Shira's Tiara, Desert sorceress arms and chest, loincloth. *the Ariendel Rose being my literal weapon and catalyst, grass crest shield for support. *FaP and Chloranthy +3, Morns and first born's ring being others.

My build is of a dude wearing a woman's cloth (a dark witch or something, just because of the poison resistance and because the char looks like The Death), while using a Black Knight Halberd as weapon and a Crest Shield (even though I do not use it).
