Please, can you explain more? why the Channelers is red? you only wear Symbol of Avarice to increase item discovery and go to the place in video and wait the Channelers to fall out, thats it?

BetaNights my world was infected by someone using the eye of death in the Gravelord covenant while I was in NG+... Which spawns red harder versions of enemies. This one particular red channeler spawns on the ledge by the archer in the dukes shortcut, and as soon as he starts buffing using his trident he falls of the edge. So all I did was let him fall over and over till he dropped the trident!
