A superb album from a band that I've only recently discovered thanks to YT again. I'm 58 years young now and after 40+ years of headbangin' I can truly say that finding new material of such quality is still a sublime joy to these old ears. The last few months I've been listening to THE ANTIDOTE, ALPHA NOIR and OMEGA WHITE by Moonspell and this month it will be DARK TRANQUILITY's back catalogue \m/ (*_*) \m/
Definetely one of my TOP albums of all time!! The progressions, the melodies, the bass, Mikael Stanne incredible voice, Anders Jivarp precise and creative drumming, and the electronics provided by Martin Brändström, all tightly enveloped in the dual guitar works of Sundin and Henriksson. To me this is truly a masterpiece... Cheers from Venezuela!

When I saw them the first time 12y ago, it was a festival in Germany. I went with my brand-new boyfriend. Hypocrisy had just finished playing and I came back from the most pit. Found him in the crowd immediately. We got to first row when Dark Tranquility came up.The singer smiled at us several times. It started raining and it was all very romantic. Now we're married with a child. I know what it's like having this band as part of your personal history. I feel very connected to their songs.

Stellar album by one of my all-time favorite bands. I saw them play most of Construct live in January with Insomnium. What a show. They are so consistently awesome!
As always DT with its dark letters and necessary to reflect, this band always made very good music, progressive dark and melodic, the lively Gothenburg style at its best.

I am so new with DT and my unique album is Atoma; but this album is more darker and better than the Atoma and looks like early years the music is better.
I like it too, but it's definitely one of their weaker efforts imo. It's more of a slight misstep. Expecting Atoma to be awesome though and I love Construct
@@Charles_Anthony The very first one. It's his voice mostly. He adopted the shrieking cries typical of the black metal genre. The death metal growling is not so prominent. Also some guitar sections here and there sound like those Inmortal high octave, acid riffs.
This is in my top 3 albums of the last 10 years in metal!! But then, I've worshiped DT since Mind's Eye and I consider myself a latecomer to the DT genius. I feel this is the album that should have followed Fiction, not that Void is bad in any way.
I wish CMR would remake my Google Goggles playlist.. its all dark tranquility songs and its plenty relevant today. Include lyrics, its for everyone 🎉❤😮
Well, their albums have a different sound and you will like certain albums based on the style that you like. For me, I love the Insomnium-style melodeath that has a lot of atmosphere, very defined riffs, and an overall darker tone. For me, Construct and Fiction are my two favorite albums because they have just that. A perfect example is 'What Only You Know.' If you like the stuff on the faster side of melodeath, the albums you listed, aside from Fiction, would fit.
the whole album is a masterpiece , however " what only you know" will be the death of me. I asked DT on their FCB page to provide me with guitar Tabs, cause i couldnt make a perfect version by ear :(
You'll get used to screaming, this screaming is not as intense as a lot of it but screaming is like anything else you just gotta get acustom to it then you will want it in music like this. Trust me I was there then I said no way in hell I'm skipping this great band called Opeth
If you don't love this album you don't love melodeath, period. I listen to every genre except rap, country and nu-metal and find something good in everything instead of trying to tear it down. This is a *fabulous* album, if all you want is a rehash of their old stuff there are plenty of melodeath bands out there copying that style. For whatever reason people actually think those bands are original...
this album was one of biggest dissapointments from a well known melo death band this year, maybe not terrible but no where near up to par. fiction, even we are the void shit on construct. too bad.
