Why can't we ever have a game where we play as a legitimate monster? Not a werewolf or a vampire or some other rpg where you just get the ability to turn into some powerful form.

Exactly what I was thinking. Game lost all tension at that point. Also makes me question how it will hold your interest for a long period of time... Do you just keep finding more vikings to kill? What else is there?

The game probably will have afew levels with at least 4 forms. -Small one: Stealth -Medium one: Combat with strategy -Big one: Pure combat -Gigantic one: special level with a few levels.

I agree, they definently need new sound.. atleast for attacks/wounding..etc.. need some real screams of agony. Lol but it is early, and they might of just thrown in some free sound at the moment to get the ball rolling and get more money backing them.

Gotta agree, the sound design around the monster is excellant but the enemies don't really seem to react that well, more specifically their animations don't reflect what I feel like I should be doing to them with how powerful this creature is supposed to be

You don't play this games for the combat you play them for the knowledge about mythic legends and mythologies that of old human knowledge this games are telling you story's and old history's you come for knowledge

@@SnowWhite-ui4lz Everything we just saw was combat with a very soft narrative. we can expect the game to have more story but consider what they showed us. The key impressions they aimed to make was "play as a monster unlocking new abilities" Those abilities will assist directly in combat.

Did you know that you're allowed to believe something doesn't quite seem on par with everything else shown without being able to fix that problem yourself. For example, anyone can recognize and criticize bad acting without being an actor themselves.

Doom was the big breakthrough for me. Last time I've truly been pleased with every aspect of the game. All these game coming out aren't bad, just a prettier version of something I've already seen before.

Not that this is gonna be a bad game, but you can very clearly notice details in games just from gameplay trailers alone to imagine how it might fit in the full product. Sure, it isn't the finished product and probably not even close, but holding all concerns as if you need to be scared of hurting developers fee fees isn't something that's beneficial at all especially if you want to give constructive criticism. But sarcastic response is absolutely necessary and provides an endless amount of positive discussion i'm sure.

Yeah... the idea of playing as the monster is cool... watching your family get killed and wanting revenge But the fight scenes and stealth seem terrible. Not to mention that in this video alone the story seemed dragged out... I don’t wanna play like 4 hours of what I got bored of in 15 minutes

The smart way for middle grade and indie games is not to go open world. Open world just consumes resources and half of them are big empty open spaces. I really hope this game is just open ended linear game so at least I can have some fun with interesting mechanics for each level and not just look for point of interest #19920

Agony and project wights trailers came out around the same time im kinda glad darkborn is coming out later they had more time to refine and look great (still hope they fix some combat stuff but its definitely the right direction from project wights combat systems)

The developers are still hiring coders and whatnot and are still polishing the game. This is just a slip of gameplay of a unfinished game.

This looks like a more story driven game.. choosing a first person perspective can be more immersive...

I bet later in the game combat gets fast af boiii and you get to jump from tree to tree in the jungle killing douchebags, its like Predator

Well I see what your saying unlike the other commentators, but I believe the main character walks around on all fours while in first person mode. At least that’s the perception I kinda get by looking at the screen. Yeah basically what the guy above me commented.
