The witcher shows how it has to be done. Even after almost 7 years, it is the best game i have ever played. So much love in one game is very rare , as i can say as a console player.
@@Zindril Cyberpunk is a great game, with a very good story. Glitches that happened, happened because game was not finished and it was released because of impatient people like you. P.S. I didn't have any glitches.
@@DrR1pper When I started playing I played all 3 starting from 1 because I felt that id really enjoy the story (which I did) and i thought that playing through them all would give me a better picture and make it more enjoyable which it definitely was. If you can sit through some rough gameplay as long as you are entertained with a story id say try out 1 first but if not 2 was still pretty good. They also designed 3 so that it would reach new players so dont feel bad if you dont want to play the other two though.
It's a shame that such a talented actor and true fan of the Witcher like Henry Cavill has to be associated with the poor writing in Netflix The Witcher. I hope that one day he can return to the role again, and we have time, because an actor can be considerably older to be able to play Geralt.
The fact that they included Orianna in the first trailer for the regular game and brought her back in the Blood and Whine DLC tells you everything about how great the story is. They cared about every detail. Same could be said about Gaunter O'dim who apeared as a standard NPC during the first quest and turned into one of the most evil and powerful beings in the universe as we know from the hearts of stone DLC
I just wish I could just forget everything and play this game for the first time... truly a Masterpiece. Replaying it for the 5th time now...just can't get enough 🤣
this one game, I have never been able to stop playing is just a video game version of the Mona Lisa. on my 4th play through of the game now on death march now and loving every hour of it!
For me it is still hard to believe that this masterpiece is created by Bagiński, the same one who together with Netflix produced this climate less Witcher joke. Where things go so wrong ?
@@MaciekKleczar Bagiński had really disappointed me. He treats his audience like idiots. He said that logic has no importance in the series, that's why the plot was changed.
I'm a 3D artist and have some years of experience with 3D in general. I don't think I've ever seen any game cinematic with more realism than this one. Everything is perfect, from materials, models, movement, composition and the cinematic choices that have been made. Give it more time and money and this would make an awesome series in full CGI. All my respect to the artists that worked on this cinematic and the Witcher games, real masterpieces.
There is a lot of good cinematics in game industries, Blizzard for example with StarCraft, Assassin's Creed, Elder Scrolls Online, legendary Dead Island trailer and way more :)
That scene when Eskel keeps hitting Caranthir's staff does not look perfect, nor good at all. I looks incredibly stupid. Fight with Eredin - total dissapointment. And Ciri's teleportation is too OP. And lighting looks awful, it makes skin and other things look like plastic. And Geralt STILL has his face scars so fresh, so red.
It was weird how that affected me. The game was so immersive with the story.....the characters seemed real and then when that moment hits you realize its over. I'm referring to the one in-game though as I don't recognize the last 30s of this clip. I mean the one in-game at the end when he's sitting with Regis.
Just bought the game a few days ago, have to say: I'm not disappointed. It gives me a real sense of adventure, even Skyrim couldn't do it. The way CD Projekt Red created the storyline was breathtaking. No word can describe how satisfied I am when taking part in journeys to explore the world, fight monsters,... Wish the studio could make another Witcher game.
Witcher 3 oozes quality, from the cutscenes, the dialogue, the gorgeous environment, the mini game (Gwent) and the amazing music (especially Priscilla's song). It was so good even Andrzej got jealous.
No feeling can describe how brilliant and awesome this game is. Remember first time playing it. The goosebumps when Gerald and Vesemir fought together, the graphics, atmosphere, music, action, gameplay, monsters… It’s just so damn amazing that no word is enough for this game. I have played so many games in my life, but no game will ever match this, unless they release The Witcher 4. I have completed and restarted this game so many times that I probably have more than 800+ hours.
Would never be as good if they make another unfortunately They are just too big to be passionate like they used to. Too many hands on the table too many mouth to feed too many people to answer to Witcher 3 is the last of its kind
Man I just finished the books and just wanted more... The ending hits so damn hard now. Shed a few tears at the very end. The respect CD shows its community and source content is incredible.
This is the best game I was ever playing!
It’s so sad how much I loved this and how I couldn’t get through one episode of the Netflix show. It really shows how passion can be the defining factor
This game made my childhood. It brings me joy and sense of calmness, a place I’ve never visited yet it feels like home. I’m lost for words…thank you PS: that ending when Geralt was “talking to me” made me almost cry
@@hufsa7197 Neither is GTA but that doesn't stop kids from playing that. The gaming world is rife with violence, gore, and sex. Kids nowadays are pretty desensitized towards most of it sadly. And before you rationalize that the parents should monitor their kids' video game content, I'll say that yes, I agree the parents should do that. BUT, even if the kids just watch the news or reality shows instead, well....those things area ALSO rife with violence and sex. You can't escape it unless you like live in a commune or don't have TV or technology in the house. And even THEN, public schools man, they'll still get exposed to it through friends. All we can do as parents is educate and mitigate the damage as best we can.
@@amashizaino me too xD... Him breaking the 4th wall is sooooo satisfiying and me being a player for almost 6 years now is just.... I dunno haha.. feels good
This game even after all this years is the gold standard. What an amazing game. I mean the second one was too but wild hunt is incredible in just so many ways. Still pretty much unmatched as an rpg goes.
They might do soon, they’ve already hinted at the wild hunt once their story develops more they’ll all be badass. Pretty sure witcher still has 5 seasons to do
It would be cool to have a Witcher game where you pick your school, make your character and choose specialisations caused by the mutations. It would be cool, especially if they made it more action focused and you get to decide how your witcher acts and you can follow the path of the school of the feline, or the school of the viper or you can remain true to the Witcher’s code (of your school), or if you are a Viper or a Feline - then killing for money would be their path
They sort of have this in game, there’s a whole tree for new mutations (dlc endgame stuff ) and you meet a witcher from the viper school iirc but this is a great idea ngl and if you break the schools code you get a moral compass thing
@@ThePaintedHope think season 2 has more to do with the games than the books, still has some elements but it's something else altogether, I don't like it.
I'm still playing it, after all of those years, again and again and again. it is never enough...i don't believe that someone can make a better game, music graphics characters love hate...
@@godlike119 I played rdr2 before I played the Witcher 3, and while I absolutley loved and still love rdr2 it doesn't compare to the witcher. The witcher is on another level.
@@godlike119 imo rdr2 is too slow paced and focuses too much on tiny, insignificant details in order to make the game feel realistic. Would've be better if they put all that time into improving the missions and gunplay, horse's balls shrinking in cold doesn't really make the game any better
Played on the PS4 back when it came out. Loved it. Playing now on next gen graphics is even more fun. Remembering some but also realizing new stuff second time through. One of my top 3 games ever.
@@FrobergDK I like Witcher 1’s story and characters, but the combat and fighting in Witcher 1 always feels like a serious pain that it often blinds me to the story in my frustration. That one boss fight with the squid in the sewer near the end of the game almost made me drop it for good. I just can’t see myself playing 1 again after my first run, it’s just painful.
This is so superior to the Netflix series. I wish they had just animated the Witcher using this technology and the writers from the game. Shouldn't complain though, the books and the games gave me a great experience.
I hate the fact that the author made a lot of shit against the game producers. But against Netflix that butchered the work he is fine...a great author but a even bigger As*hole
That was the original plan of the very first game, or one of the first, and they scrapped it part way through and instead made Geralt the playable character. Would be cool to do a Witcher RPG but I'm glad they stuck with Geralt at the beginning.
@@dinob8736 agreed. It takes place in fictional medieval Poland. Sure there’s ofiri where it’s basically Arabia. But I can guarantee you that a black Triss and Finggila does not exist. They just wanna do some psuedowoke bullshit to keep the SJWs happy.
Animation of such high quality costs time and money. So far smth close to it in therms of animation is Arcane. And Arcane costed 10mln $ per episode (each episode was of 45min lenghth). So yeah...
Started with the 3rd game on PC, went and bought games 1&2 on pc at full price and now have once again paid full price for the 3rd game on PS5 and every single time I gladly did so knowing I got a great game. The Witcher: The Wild Hunt should go down as the greatest 3rd Person RPG of all time. Thank you for a cinematic movie, was a pleasure to watch!
I'm surprised WB never once thought about making this into animated series or a movie with the same voice actors, even if it's just a retelling of the trilogy or continuation picking up in Toussaint, the characters & the world are so well-established & realized, would love to see it all in real motion
Just finished my 6th playthrough, 1st time doing the gwent stuff. Got completely addicted to it. The Skelliga deck was hard for me but after awhile I got really good with it. If I live to be 100, I doubt there will be a video game that beats Witcher 3
@@M4xon_ honestly it never interested me in the least. I felt it took away from the story line. Geralt was finding Ciri before the Wild Hunt did yet stopping to play cards. Plus I didn't understand it very well. Once I learned it, I did regret not playing it sooner lol
Sound ... Visual. ... Gameplay ... The Trinity of perfection .... never has been topped ! and it probably will take years to top the combination of this even if the possibilities are already there
Playing The Witcher 3 for the first time, so much fun so far. I'm missing a lot of the lore and story because I didn't play the first 2 games or read the books, but it's still fantastic.
"killing monsters" as a fan, that line still gives me chills, i hope they create a game that u can create your own witcher like rpg. that would be cool
Create your own witcher/ choose your school and you already have a different story element for single RPG or an MMORPG. They could have a solely story driven game or a monster hunter style game (MMO) with story elements.
@@LSmallCatL I like the rpg idea, but not so much mmo idea. Hundreds of witchers (in many cases toxic ones, i mean, let's be honest here) running around would be big minus for me.
@@Koza6969 the problem with MMO's is that you gotta go real big to do something really good so I concede that just having Witcher running around would be half baked and not very Witcher-like. They'd probably have to have a whole MMO in the Witcher universe where only a few selected could become a Witcher. They did something similar with Jedi in Star Wars Galaxies however they fumbled it once they let everyone become a Jedi. Meaning = reducing the power (Jedi could handle 5-10 max lvl player solo) and of course exclusivity. So I'd probably put my money on a solo rpg that can be successful over an mmo that most likely would be a disaster.
I will die a happy man, knowing that i have witnessed this timeless masterpiece on my PC. But hopefully 1 day the world will once again live in harmony and make more and even better adaption of our favorite games and movies free from modern extremist politics and agenda.
when I encountered Orianna, I didnt realize she was the one who sang the trailer song until she sang it in the orphanage. That made my jaw drop below sea level
I almost forgot how the Geralt looks like in the game because of Henry Cavill but not Yen and Trish. I still treasure how sexy and hot they are in the game specially in Witcher 3.
@@ThinkYeaah honestly yah she is getting better only the skin color. And also Yen is starting really look like the Yen in witcher 2 again only the skin color.
I bought The Witcher 3 and all the dlc on steam. I haven’t had a lot of time to play it but the game is really good so far. I don’t know when and if I’ll ever beat it though
The Witcher 3 is one of those pieces of art that future generations will look back on with awe the same way we view Shakespeare. It’s a master craft. As a game designer just thinking about the game brings a tear to my eye I will say though that the locomotion system (moving and controlling Geralt) is once of the worst systems I have seen. The controls and animation is just god awful.
These games taught me not just how to tell a story, but how to make a world feel rich and full, and how to make characters complex and alive. Disregarding the gameplay itself, the Witcher is what I compare all other games to.
It's better in every way, in the game they don't change main characters skin color for no reason, they all have the same accents in the show 🤷🏼, they don't follow the books story, the lines are badly written, there are many plot inconsistencies, they fucked up the characters relationships, etc...
Witcher 2 opening is still the best in my book. It establishes how skilled the kingslayers are right from the start and makes it very interesting to hunt them through the game.
