This interview sold me on Darkhorse, until I went to look at a model… I thought the RV style door was locked, but it was just mounted poorly and not lining up with the latch. Once I got it open, I couldn’t close it and had to notify the dealer. Inside, the roof vent was leaking and there were a number of broken welds. Not to mention the quality of welds looked like I myself did it. Mig wire and spatter everywhere. Same thing underneath the trailer…. The rubberized coating seems to be a big selling point, however it came right off with my fingernail…. Wiring underneath looked like the framing of a new build house. PVC outlet boxes with no weatherproofing…. I was very disappointed as I viewed this video before looking at darkhorse trailers and was pretty much sold. I ended up looking at a steel Legend right after the darkhorse and the quality of the welds, electrical routing, fit and finish was night and day. Same size/ color and it ended up being cheaper than the dark horse. I’m not saying all Dark horse trailers are like this. But unfortunately the one I saw was, and the company lost a sale because of it.
