Darknuts are my favorite non-boss enemy in Zelda games

Darknuts are consistently some of the best enemies in every appearance. The first game does so well at making fights with them imposing, and since then have been ready to cut you up in Link's Awakening, the Oracle games, Four Swords, Wind Waker, and Minish Cap. But NOTHING COMES CLOSE to how threatening the Darknuts are in Twilight Princess. Their confident, heavy footsteps, with their height and the damage they can do (especially in groups) makes them so intimidating in this game.

0:14 Probably the most iconic mini-bossfight theme in Zelda. Appears in almost every dungeon mini-bossfight! Also Darknuts are probably the most worthy opponent, and also annoying, especially in Hyrule Castle where you have to fight two of them. In a narrow hallway. With locked doors.

I love the suspense this theme has to it.

“Hah! Haha! _Wait why does he have two swords?”_

It’s possible to fight Darknut as a wolf but only after knocking out his armor. You can even start the battle as a wolf.

Really wish these guys had shown up in BOTW or TOTK. Heavy armor guys wanting a one-on-one duel with you. Thinking of the Black Knights in Dark Souls

I hope these return in botw 2.

I always sort of felt bad for killing this guy the first time around cause he was the most “human” of the monsters you went up against.

It sounds pretty good at 1.25 playspeed

i remember fighting the imposing Darknut my first time, never forget it, just fighting him man to man, just my blade against his blade, not using anything else just an honorable fight between 2 swordsman, trading blows and barely surviving the fight with half a heart left and then feeling how fast my heart beat was cuz of how intense the fight was. then literally reaching that floor in those trials in gerudo u know the one where on the last floor u fight 3 darknuts at the same time which i never reached, i reached the floor where u fight 2 darknuts and i remember getting destroyed by them

There are other ways to start the battle other than walking to him. 1. Gale Boomerang 2. Bow and Arrow with or without bombs 3. Clawshot 4. Ball and Chain To reach him with either the Ball and chain or the Clawshot without triggering the cutscene, don’t go any closer than the triangle toward Darknut.

When you run up to your bedroom at 3 am in the dark after getting a quick snack

Love the Darknuts in both The Wind Waker and this game

The day I get to fight a vertically challenged elf while wearing 3 suits or armor on top of eachother will be the greatest day of my life

My all time favorite thing to fight in this game is darknuts

The only thing to do is try all your sword techniques on it until you find one that works! Don’t worry! You have what it takes to beat him, Link!

Best enemy in the Zelda series that isn't a boss if you ask me!!

The posters for the remastered version made me want to fight them again so badly on a remastered console and my god it delivered

Twilight princess has never really been one of my favorite zelda games but its ost is underrated. Easilly the best mini-boss theme aside from windwaker's

#1 thing I want in TOTK DLC is for them to add Darknuts as a miniboss. The game needs more man to man 1v1s lol

Anybody wish when you broke off half armor off the Darknut and Iron Knuckle! Did you wish to see their under clothes as they would get so angry mad and offended lol! They pretty much always were mad when you took half of their armor off!

These guys should have so made a return in TOTK. Overtaken by Gloom or something

Imagine having a second sword just so you can throw your first sword at link

why didnt we get these guys in the breath of the wild and tears timeline they would be so cool there. or at least an iron knuckle.

Every boss was okay! Alhamdulillah! Yetttt.. Those annoying winged lizards in city in the sky is excetion for me, they are mosquitoes 2.0... with their cool hook shield haHAH! overall good!n

Why are they called darknuts Why not just call them darkknights?

BOTW/TOTK could have used enemies like these :(

Totally irrelevant from LoZ but this sounds like when Tom Holland battled the sinister 5 in No Way Home before the other spider men showed up. It's fitting tbh
