These conversions are really good. It's insane to see how much more experienced you have got at conversions over time. I would love to see a warband or army in this style of conversion, possibly with some paint on them as well.
See I always liked the aestethics of the putrid blight kings but I've never been a fan of nurgly distended bellies and flopping guts so this conversion really hits the mark for me.
to line up a bit more with the "noble-bright" aesthetic you could try and style some Stormcast in vain with the dragon slayers, (ornstein, smough, winged knights, etc) I'd say that their designs successfully adapt high fantasy designs to low fantasy conventions.
Really like these guys Could definitely see them in places through the dark souls games Could maybe try and make an archer/tracker/hunter stormcast dark souls characters I think the start work really well with bows I did one myself with a raven companion
Nice striking conversions, they remind me of the Millwood Knights from Dark Souls, an enemy i always thought looked really cool. Logan Paul is gonna love 'em 😛haha.
I think a cool idea for dark souls like stormcast would be something like the black knights, with their ornate clean armour, but still having a grim mysterious aura, or something like Havel with armour looking like it was made from stone rather than steel. Great conversion btw
Themes of fire and light as religious institutions repressing darkness are usually present in the Souls games. Perhaps you could use that as a jumping off point? A paladin/priest/cleric with the dark and weathered grit of the other models you've made. But instead of the forest-y themes you've gone with previously, you could emphasize the violence and black-white thinking of the Black and Silver knights of Dark Souls or the Hunters and healing church from Bloodborne. But honestly, I'm sure I would be impressed with whatever you end up making. Props to you, you're blowing me away.
Beautiful conversions, the huge cleaver Is very imposing, only thing I didn't liked a lot Is the wooden shield, it's naturally a matter of personal taste, I'd preferred a conventional "kite" one, that perhaps Is more apt to the armour, and could be decorated with some Chaos ' heraldry. Neverthless the amount of time you've dedicated to these minis Is incredible.
First thing I think of when I imagine a "Dark Souls" aesthetic is the Elite Knight armor set. That perfect mixture of knightly plate armor with a few leather parts like the boots and the one glove. Then theres the intricate tabard over the top of that to wrap it all up. Something about that set just screams "THIS is Dark Souls" to me, maybe its just that iconic helmet shape. I dont think anything in Warhammer has anything close to that kind of look accept some 40k Blade Guard Veteran helms or Grey Knights. Black Templars have a few maybe aswell for the Champion too, though they do kinda have a futuristic look, maybe some kind of plume or crest could hide that vent they have on the top of their helmets.
Maybe you could try a more draconic flavor? There's some overlap there between a lot of dark souls enemies and some of the more recent stormcast stuff. Hope that helps
really good detailing, really good paintwork, but I'm a bit lost with the choice to make them all one color. If that's just a choice to make them monochromatic, cool, I just think that goes a bit further away from the souls look, as that isn't often the look. the tags in the description worked, so in response here's some engagement and a little bit of feedback
Same CC I have about your other stormcast dude, you made excellent conversion but they are nurgle warriors now. But thinking about why I reached the conclusion the helmets are too iconic to nurgle units to be anything else more even than the corrosion those antlers are part of nurgle models since the 80s
