Someone once told me religions are like old-timey rat poison: 99% oat bran and 1% arsenic. 99% of it is good for you, but it's that 1% that kills. It's wild that Judaism (especially the Ultra-Orthodox...who keep the pure traditions), along those same percentages, dehumanizes 99% of humanity by saying they don't have human souls. There is such potent and splendorous good in the Torah and Judaism, but it is all tainted to some degree by the Zohar and other teachings.
If you want to skip the intro for my daughter jump to 3:43.
I was told I need to leave Israel less than 12 hours after recording this (by coincidence if you believe in such things, lol). Dark forces around me have been agitated, but yet I stand with no fear. Don't let my sacrifice go to waste. It took me ~20 years and a child with an Israeli woman to see how deeply rooted into Judaism this is.

I went to a predominantly Jewish denomination school and boy, the kids weren’t so bad… but the parents really looked down on you if you weren’t “in the club”. First hand experience. Not all of them, but enough for me to notice as a teenager so you do the math on that.

I am non Jewish woman who believes in HaShem and I have seldom found such kindness, welcome and warmth as I found within the Jewish community and this is throughout, from most people whether Reform, Conservative, Secular or Orthodox. It sounds like you have issues with your ex, and it has coloured your perspective.

I have had amazing experiences with many groups of Chassids and other Orthodox. This idea exists though in multiple sects though and is unhealthy.

I'm sorry for what's happening to you. I'm a Christian originally from Southern Europe and I've been in NYC for over 40 years. I can relate to your experience, however i have to stress the fact that my experience in Portugal and Italy was totally different, it was the same as dealing with any Christian or Muslim or Buddhist. Maybe the US society offers a more favorable or reinforces different types of behavior. Notwithstanding, i refuse to generalize because I met a lot of Great Jewish people in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in New York City

You actually talked about how your family hates non-Jews and your own life choices with non-Jews that didn't live up to their expectations. It's people like you (and me with my ex-wife's hatred for non-Jews), who can stand up and be honest about it, that will bring 10 times more change than anyone else on the planet. This apples to every single category of existence, not just Orthodox Jewish thought. The insiders have to stand up, tell their stories, and lead by example so the world can know. Please speak on it again. It's so important if we are going to heal these unhealthy ideologies.

"The Jews have been through so much pain for The Most High", what about the pain, the atrocities, the massacres they bestowed upon others? What about the millions of Christians they victimized horrendously? Do those they tortured and murdered not get a say? The Jews will only ever play victim, never acknowledging their own wrongdoing, or perhaps their "Most High" has allowed for such atrocities to be committed against us non-Jews. Jesus didn't permit it. Perhaps that is why they don't acknowledge Jesus.

While I don't agree that everything the crusaders did was just or good, it was a necessary reaction for the survival of both Christianity and the ethnic Europeans. As for the destruction of the temple, what of all the churches and parishes the Jewish bolshevists destroyed throughout the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe? Again this just highlights the one-sided perspective of victimhood that Jews have.

I do think that it's as fringe as Christians hating jews. Some latch on those when they are babies depending on their upbringing, due to the way they misinterpreted the stories their parents and teachers told them, but they realize it's kinda dumb when they mature up. But of course some don't and still believe in those.

It was after the loss of many Jewish men that the Rabbis decided to make the mother the determinant factor of Jewish heritage and father determined the Tribe. They need to convert men to keep the nation going at that point. Prior to that both parents had to be Jewish to be considered a Jew.

Nowhere in history has men gotten married and took the woman's last name. If the father had two children from two different women, those children are still considered full siblings. If the mother had two children from two different men, those children are half siblings.

@@Coojinx Yeah the phenomenon that it describes has been found to be related to misinformation rather than lack of information. Also vainglory and misplaced confidence still exists. So saying that the Dunning-Kruger effect is false, therefore what he said is not biased is kinda dumb. But calling his bias the Dunning-Kruger effect is wrong, its a semantic reappropriation of the original study. A bit like how the word gaslighting is being misappropriated for different issues that sometimes might be very real, but people are bad at describing stuff so they resort to buzz words.

I'm only speaking on one aspect of Jewish thought. I have probably 70+ videos showing the beauty of Judaism as well. This post by Uusaal and its responses carry a sense of lazy intellectualism. 5-10 minutes of actually researching what you're saying or is being said before commenting would be enough to prove yourselves wrong.

I might not be jewish but I understand your concern, but its kinda the same in my country south africa and I think thats what lead to apartheid.. The afrikaans people are mostly protestants but their idea of race is that God punished the jews who were gods people because they refused to follow jesus (so they are essentially gods new chosen people) and trust me I know what they think of even catholics or orthadox people (that we pray to the pope and worship idols and so forth).. So i guess what Im saying is that they might be white but they "other" greeks or portugeuse or even english people in the same way, so its not entirely about "racism" and i think whether you are a jew, christian or muslim you are going to "other" other groups.. thats why we have so many different churches and sects and none of them even agree with each other.. and this is why I am opposed to these faiths.. perhaps we need something new

I think that the problem is that institutions, organisations, corporations, governments and religious institutions are not inherently evil, its just that positions that give you power, wealth and status inherently attract people who do not have the best intentions (psychopaths, sociopaths and narcissists and so forth)

@@houseofmagna2365 I've been studying it for 12 years and it's still a drop in the ocean...The Talmud is a huge collection of hypotheses, legal questions, law, order, marriage matters and also fantasies that a person may encounter during his life. The things were written more than a thousand years ago and are an important part of civilizational development. When you think about the time when the things were written, you realize that they were written by the geniuses of that time. This is a complex and complicated subject to understand without deep study. A cursory skimming of these ancient writings can frighten, frustrate, defy logic and induce nausea. Don't fall down this rabbit hole if you are not going to devote multiple years of study to the subject, Any superficial attempt to understand things as they are is a sin against the truth.

This is exactly why Kabbalah should not be studied by novices. This esoteric literature uses verbal images that cannot be taken at face value or interpreted literally. Judaism clearly states that every human being (yes, including non-Jews) is created in the image of G-d and should be treated with dignity and kindness. Put this to the test: see how those "ultra-orthodox" hasidim who claim to be the followers of the Baal Shem Tov, whose teachings were based on the Kabbalah and Zohar, actually treat other people. You'll see that they act with true humanity towards all.

It's hardly typical and has a lot to do with Christian antisemitic persecutions in the past. it's not justifiable under any circumstances, anywhere - but it's not characteristic of ultra-orthodox Jews in general.

I appreciate you reaching out to me by email, but the fact you said you went to yeshiva and are an educator, but have never come across this idea in Chassidus or any other religious sect proves that either 1. you have quite a bit more studying to do 2. you don't know many ultra-orthodox Jews 3. you aren't being totally honest. If you are indeed an educator, then please research this on your own and if you can give me an meaningful answer I'll take this down and post something new with your response.

They say Jacob's goodness was like a palace of rubies; Esau's wickedness was like a vast swamp, but his goodness was like a basketball sized diamond, more potent than even Jacob's goodness in its essence. In typical self-aggrandizing fashion, they never mention that Jacob's wickedness was even more potent than Esau's in its essence. That is just how yin and yang works. It's typical of simple people to get 99 compliments and 1 criticism then focus on the 1 criticism and forget the 99 compliments. There so many beautiful things in Judaism, but this is not one of them. This is the dark side of Judaism and if you don't think so then you're part of the problem.
