Darksiders 2 soundtrack, War vs Death. (The Crowfather)

Such a great, yet criminally underrated game.

Seeing as Death recognizes the gun Redemption that Alya tosses him as actually belonging to Strife, I can picture a game where Strife leaves his guns behind to Alya and Ulthane at his ending, and in the final game: War: "This is yours." *tosses Mercy* Death: *tosses Redemption* "You should stop leaving your toys all over the place, brother." Strife: "Hmph." *catches guns*

This song is like something that would be played during the battle that decides the fate of the universe. That's how epic this is.

Now this was one heck of a way to start a game!

When you get out of the shower naked and endure the harsh cold 'till you reach some clothes.

Its funny though, how Darksiders 2 have the most epic records.

The era of the PS3 is over now. I own well over 40 games for it. Including most of the "revolutionary" ones. And while many other games will remain in my memory for many other reasons: I have to thank the creators of DarkSiders 2 for the Death Vs War fight, for it is, hands down, my most memorable "epic"-moment out of all the PS3 experiences I've had. Nothing even comes close to surpassing it. This soundtrack has a lot to do with the epic-ness of that encounter. I felt like... A god - the first time I crossed swords with War. It was amazing on a level I have never experienced before (And this after 17 years of being a gamer). I remember that moment when War is walking towards you, slowly, but with determination, for that was the moment I realized I could actually control Death. I was sent into a borderline frenzy. Fairly sure there was a lot of "OH SHIT! OH SHIT! NO WAY! NO FUCKING WAY!" said somewhere along the duration of that frenzy. I can still recall thinking somewhere in the middle of that battle; "When people talk about LEGENDS - THIS is what they're talking about." I know that "legendary" is a word used far to freely in the gaming world today, but this, this was truly, in every way - legendary. I almost wish that it would have been the last encounter in the game. Only way it could have been any better then what it was is if the War we fought, was the real one. I know it wouldn't make much sense, regardless how one twists or turns it, but the concept of two godlike Nephilim clashing to this theme... And us being one of said godlike Nephilim... It's... There are no words. Just no words. None. Although, to be honest, I don't think it would be hard to make War fight Death. Recall him saying "It's not Death you should fear!" in DS1? Sibling Rivalry - build off of that. Let

You know a game is amazing when the FIRST boss has this music. Beyond epic/

You know typically sequels for a game turn out sub par in my opinion because the creators continue with the style of game, story, etc. but don't do much of anything that makes it stand out. Darksiders 2 I deeply loved because it took darksiders the original and brought it to another level which was fantastic. Everything from scenery, boss fights, cut scenes, and soundtracks "guardian theme ftw" was perfect, again imo.

This. This is how you do a tutorial level. One of the best video game openings ever! The music, the location, the conclusion, it's just perfect.

This should be the epic theme song for every movie and cartoon/animation final fight, battle.

AH MAN, I SHOULD'VE GUESSED IT WAS JESPER KYD Know him from the Assassin's Creed chase themes. Oh man, what it would be to be able to compose like him The best, most amazing part about this song was that when I first played Darksiders II, the music felt controlled by me. It wasn't a static background track, it felt as if every blow I struck made the music respond, they were both intertwined so tightly. Magical, never happened to me in a game ever.

Guys I feel like I really need to mention how mind bogglingly fucking EPIC THIS SONG IS. SHIT.

this game is amazing great combat soundtrack from Walhalla, it looks great sad what happend to the devs but their legecy will live on in darksiders 1 and 2

I didn't see it that way.I had a lot of fun with this game.Death's character was great,the gameplay was solid(combat,platforming,even the puzzles)and the story was extremely interesting.Not to mention the bossfights....I mean,the fight with War is probably the most epic fight i ever had in a video game.Don't forget that this is a hack n slash game with rpg elements.I think it's the best game in it's genre and it offers a lot of variety for it's kind.

The fact that this dude was able to record the in game version makes this feel much more authentic. Feels like I'm fighting War right now.

Nordic games bought the license from The creators and they also have established the vigil branch its just a matter of time (3-4) years after we get the next darksiders game.
