"You can't kill Belial, those things in the street were nothing compared to him, he's a demon Lord!" This guy seemed to have forgot that he was literally talking to death lol.
I can see why War and Death were close as brothers. Both have a sense of nobility to them that makes them a positive force for the balance. Sure they can both be brutal but only when they need to be. I would argue that even death is the kindest among the four horsemen. And possibly, the most bad ass.
Wind Liger well he was order to kill all of his nephillem brothers and sisters along side the other 3 but he didn’t instead he kept their souls in a amulet or something that torments them for the rest of their lives also it’s really poetic how war was the one that is binge blamed but death is there to try and save his brother after all war can’t be without death in a natural way
Death: I respect your need for secrecy, human, but i must know. How did you survive? Human: I was a boy scout. Death: A what? Human: Never mind... I find this part so funny, i don't know why xD
Ironic....that man sold his own soul and the other human survivors just to evade death,..... only to be claimed by Death in the end....and it was he who went willingly.
Honestly death's character in this game is not what i expected it to be. When i see the trailer thought he would be an edgy and salty kind of guy. But it turned out he is a wise and a nice guy for a guy with a responsibility of taking life, and i love it.
Why would he be any brutal or harsh against humanity if he's the one at task restoring humanity.. If anything he admire's humans will of survival and human potential.. All of the horsemen will eventually protect humanity at all cost against the Angels And The Demons and The Council until humanity is fully prepared to fight back..
@@Zoza15 You seem to be one of the few who really gets what these games are about. The Horsemen are for balance. The Council may not be, but that does no longer absolve them of their duty. So yes, eventually The Horsemen will battle everyone, and it'll be fucking awesome!
Yeah dude, he's just doing his job. Also I think it's funny how there's all these long drawn-out answers to your comment and mine is just one sentence.
This truly shows that Death is the most human of the Horseman. War doesn't seem to think too much of humanity and cares about his job. Fury just thinks nothing of them and thinks they're "Tragically overrated", but Death not only tries to comfort a Human by telling him his comrades may have survived, but spared him pain without question by ending him quick and painlessly. Despite Death's name and occupation, he truly is the most Honorable.
Well at the end of Darksiders 3 SPOILER!!!!!!!!! Fury starts to like the humans and she knows that they I mean us will become greater than demon and angel
@@ArchlordZer0 Well now we know Strife is apparently the Joker of the group who not only never takes anything seriously, but is also not very trusting of the council.
@@kin4386 But he's only the jester because it hides his own grief. Death does it by way of his indifference, Fury was just a twat, and War... well I'm not sure.
Honestly, if humanity managed to get revived, if a sequel gets made, I hope we get to see this guy return. It would be very interesting to see Death and this guy have another interaction after all humanity has been saved.
Joaquim Vaz Pereira The irony here is, while War has the most human-like features, Death is the most human of the riders. While looking the role the least.
This part is so poetic. The cruelty and irony that the demons give is usually the torment, the realization that they being tricked, did horrible things just for nothing. Only death is merciful
Actually it's the opposite, he's not literally death, he is a nephilim who bears the name Death and is tasked to keep balance in the universe of Darksiders. Here the horsemen are specimens of the Nephilim who were bestowed special powers by the Charred Council to preserve balance and the name of each one represents a particular concept as mean to express that power, that is, their names are metaphorical, and even Death may die in the end (should that happen, other creatures would continue to die, as "Death is dead" doesn't mean that there is no death anymore). Compare but also contrast with the original horsemen of the Book of Revelations, which are given authority "over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth", and are allegorical personifications of the troubles humanity suffered, is suffering and will suffer, such as military conquest, civil strife, famine, and ultimately death.
You know, I get the feeling that Death doesn't enjoy his job. Sure the whole "swift end for the human" is honorable, but even in the main game it seems that he is going through with the attitude of someone who is tired of his work, almost bored. Yes, he's on a quest to save his brother, but he takes no pleasure in killing everything in his path; if anything it's almost as if he tries to avoid it as a last resort.
For me He was loosing patience the more we progressed. At the begging he was like "Grant me passage to the Tree,I'll do what is necessary to help you".And when He was looking for Angelic Key,when we fought Scribe he was like"Tell me where is the Key or I'll murder your ass!"even when earlier we were fetch boy. Finally, when He met Samael he was like"Could you give me a Key without me forcing you? No?Then I will beat it from you".Also he became more brutal, for example moment before meeting Lilith he tapted into Reaper only to kill that one little minion. He surely wanted his Journey to finally end...
For all of the horsemen it's their job. They know that without them there can be no balance. I wouldn't say they take pleasure out of their work but rather they do it out of necessity.
Man this made me super sad! First I was happy I got the DLC and I was taking my time and everything and when I got to Belial, he pissed me off so much I had to use Reaper Form(I don't like using it in battles) when I finally killed him I was so happy and then when Hunter asked to be killed I couldn't even look at my screen. When it was over I didn't look back, I didn't even turn the camera, I went to the portal and continued my main champaign...
I just watch this I can't believe we survived I had given up of every seeing a single human soul in this game but now my hope for our species the third Kingdom has sparked
When death turns around, its as if he doesnt want to see what hes doing, you can tell he doesnt want to and thats whats most crushing. Taking an innocent life away is what the horsemen did to the nephellim but he doesnt want to do it again.
You can see Death's true side here when the Hunter asks to be taken Death doesn't want to look him in the eye as he kills him, to me seems like it was on purpose by the developers showing his soft side.
I like how this game is made and I like how the story runs wild with open endings saying there will be another game. The hitboxes of the animations are awesome and the movements? 10/10 flashy but really creative.
Does anyone notice how Death doesn’t take Hunter’s soul as he’s done with literally every other thing he’s killed? I’d say that says much about his character, willing to do as the guy asks and leaving him at peace after that
War speaked much less in the original, and when he did, he did it on his own terms, without giving the player much choice for his behaviour with others. Death, on the other hand, seems to almost enjoy to relate with others, and knowing more about the universe and them (at least the majorities of the time), even while concerned for the fate of his younger brother. I just find ironic that, after all, it's easier to relate with death than it is with war and conflict.
everyone knows that belail is a lord of lies and hunter is an idiot for believing on that lord would take his soul,he should have sacrificed himself for the rest of the survivors to survive. also if there is darksiders 3 i would hope for humans fighting off the demons with futuristic technology
well you cant blame the human, he had no clue what to do, but i love your idea of darksiders 3 but who should we play is the real question.......what if a mixer of all 4 or you get to choose who you play as
+Abdullah f mojil It has been confirmed that you will take the role of Strife in Darksiders 3, but there is no release date, although it would be nice if you could change characters between the 4 riders, like GTA V, wouldn't you agree?
harad552 oh i definitely agree, but i hope they make references to fury, war or death just like the first 2 games and maybe it's squeal to darksiders 1
+Abdullah f mojil Well, it is rumored that the plot in Darksiders 3 will be that, using Strife, you will begin, alongside the other riders, the assault on the Legions of Hell, and ultimately, the judgement on Lucifer himself. So, that being said, expect the other riders to be referenced, like report of Fury, War or Death attacking the Kingdom of Heaven.
Must have been a bit of a shock to him. He's been running and hiding from death all this time, only to have Death chase after him shouting "I WISH TO SPEAK!".
prefer to follow up with either the buckler or claws/guantlets they chain into his scythes attack pattern better imo, large 2 handed weapons slow attacks leaves you open for either a stun or interrupt of your attack animation.
I feel sorry for War. He was the leader of the 4 and yet he never quite knew just how close they truly were....until they were all gone. Strife tried to tell him: "I KNOW you've got my back, and You BETTER know that I've got Yours." Death went to the shadowlands itself and could have chosen to restore either Humanity, Or his kin, and instead Chose WAR alone. Fury, ever the chaotic one, in the end realized that War was innocent and asked that Uthane help War if Ever he got the chance....one final service before she departed to protect Humanity. When War was revived....he thought he stood alone and had to clear his name. But little did he know, that he had his brothers and sister with him....every step of the way. And in the end, as he held the Seventh Seal, he finally understood....that he was never alone. The Horsemen shall ever be 4!!!
I dont understand the difference between if death kills this guy or he had just died some other way. Is there some special power death holds to decide where his soul goes or ...
@@lucasluch7680 How many?! It would take millions at least and the big ones are rare, maybe monsters but in any case i think it is the trop where the actual firepower that humanity has is vastly underestimated.
I thought bullets can't harm Heaven or Hell minions. After all, at the beginning of the 1st game you have police officers shooting at War and the battling forces but no damage is done to them.
It's clear that that gun isn't normal. The bullet was glowing. So the demon lord might have told him he took his soul but all he did was inhance his ammunition and took the others leaving an illusion of surviving but only due to magic bullets.
The reason why death is kind to war is because death made war a bait. That killed war and death was overcame by guilt. If i remember right death resurected war and made an oath to always save him
2:10 hello guys , i have a problem here, when i killed all the enemies, all doors are still closed, even if i restart the game i cant do anything , please help me :C
