I noticed that too; when I was stuck before facing silitha due to a bug- I was on low hp but the health chest right by the door wouldn't open- so I opted to look back all across the level for extra chests I'd missed. Got a bunch of chests but I was squashing all the spider lings along the way and I noticed how fast the chaos eater leveled up since before- it was weird. I didn't know it would work for all weapons though- because the scythe seemed ineffective against them- kept missing them because it skimmed the air directly above the spider lings- I concluded that they were designed to be irritating time wasting enemies which avoided the most reliable AOE weapon up to that point- and I didn't have my gauntlets upgraded at all then. READ THIS FOR EXTREMELY FAST ULTIMATE SOUL AND WEAPON FARMING!!!!!!! PRO WEAPON XP TIP In the Ashland's where the 4 demon horsemen are if you jump into the big hole with the water and immediately climb back up and down it over and over it will spawn 4 more horsemen EVERY TIME THE MINI MAP CHANGES because it reloads the area with extra horsemen do it id say max 15 to 20 time so the game won't crash and you'll have like 50 horsemen running around in like 10 minutes then make them all chase you turn around and starts SLAUGHTERING (Gauntlet) make them chase you then funnel some of them over to the hard rock near the entrance of the Ashlands they wont want to fallow past the broken walkway so park Ruin under the broken walkway in the corner to break them outta the area because if you dont stand there they will all just gonna turn around and you'll only get like 5 following you. (Scythe) YOU ACTUALLY CAN ATTACK WHILE IN THE SAND SORTA, get off ruin in the middle of the horde in the sand and use the Astral Chain to grapple and use the HOLD aerial attack ITS THE STRONGEST SCYTHE TECHNIQUE. you can farm Weapon lvls to max in like an hour or 2 of doing this method. HOPE THIS HELPS THE NEWBIES!!!
0:12 A bit late (or for anyone else that doesn't know), but you don't have to dismount there as Ruin can actually jump across (automatically) like it does at 0:16.
@scorlord181 I completed it just recently and stopped playing it afterwards, so I wouldn't say I'm still playing it. I would love to though, but there's not really anything for me to do in the game anymore. This is truly one of the most awesome games I have ever played in my life, and it's sad how it isn't as moddable as Skyrim is. It's sad how short some awesome games are :S
teubert2 yea i perefer the first one as well i didnt like the random chest armor and weapons (made pay to win possible) I personally liked the ds 1 story more then ds 2 But i liked death and i cant wait for the day that he and war will fight side by side If a 5 game will ever come out lol War was more badass in my opinion
The room in 0:38 is much better, you must move only back to the Area in 0:33 when you Clear it. So you can ever Kill the many spiders, in this room fast.
