Albert Chyn What happened in DS2 was that Death was trying to free War from his punishment which from what I understood seems to be in the similar timeline as DS1. Probably here and there things are happening at the same time. Thats why at one point in DS2, you met Ureal as Death and in the end of DS1, War breaks the final seal and summons the other 3... Pretty awesome story and game if we aren't too skeptical really... :D
+Daniela K Wait but if Death revives humans in the 100 years of War's slumber then why is humanity destroyed when he wakes up? PS. please try not to spoil DS2 because I'm playing it right now. after reading your comment I now know Death dies (I don't blame you for that BTW) so please no more spoilers
Basically DS2 you are Death trying to clear Wars name for being let out early and causing the fall of humans. Every now and then in DS2 you go to Earth and see the 'destruction' caused by War. During the final events of DS2, War was also fighting Abaddon at this exact moment. When Death 'died' at the end of DS2, the end of DS1 happened a bit after and when War said, "No, not alone." You see the other 3 Horsemen coming, so Death was revived.
Yeah it was awesome like Dantes inferno shame they never got direct sequels well darksiders got prequel sequels but that's not the same here's hoping to one day No Not Alone
And the sad truth is that Nordic Games will most likely NEVER do anything with the franchise, and if they do, god help us all. It will probably suck ass. This franchise should be given to Sony. Sony should hire Platinum to do the combat.
i think the humans will also join maybe they invent some kind of tech and then combine it with magic and they become OP! or maybe we can have an amry of people like the zombie wicked W.! cuz u know this zombie is pretty fuking strong!
it would be the best choice! but right now they have a reason: they want to remaster their old games to drive intention(totally no sense, i know i know)
Liam O'Brien was an excellent VA choice for War. Here's hoping there's another Darksiders' game, and that it's just as good (if not better) than its predecessors.
Liam oBrien is a great voice actor in general,he's voiced the likes of Asura from Asura's Wrath,Nightcrawler in Wolverine and the X Men,Red Skull,Sanctus in Devil May Cry 4 and of course his most noteable role Gaara of the sand
And with Keeper next to them. Seriously though. If Keeper was a character in-game, he would be so OP. He can literally banish beings from existence. And he's the Council's executioner, so he's bound to be badass.
Most epic ending ever! The Four Horsemen reunited! War alone is a one man army against the army of the destroyer, and he was just freed from the council's supression meaning he got his powers back, and has the armageddon blade. Imagine all four of them. haha
This was one of the best game series I ever played, the dialogue and gameplay was just phenomenal. WHY DID THQ GO BUST? NOW THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER DARKSIDERS !
Except I don't know about this one I haven't played it in a while. But Darksiders 2 had so many mysteries. Then the bosses were kind challenging and you had to find out there weakness.
During this entire event of the game, Death is fighting the Corruption. Fury and Strife are somewhere, hiding and fighting for what remains of humanity. Mostly, Fury cuz she actually went with the humans. Strife....who the fuck knows where Strife is during the event of this entire game.
This is one of my all time favorite games, the second one as well, but the more and more I think about it, the more I realize that this is basically just super bloody Legend of Zelda with a different story. I still love it though.
Man, I cannot help but watch abbadon suffer as he tairs him apart. It's epic, and I just love watching the pain he goes through in this battle, and everything he deserves.
OK...the FINAL GAME IS GOING TO BE AWESOME. 4 player co-op against all heaven and hell. Each player a different horseman...can't wait. I hope gamers continue to support this franchise, it is such a joy and fresh experience.
"Darksiders 2 starts at nearly the same time as the start of the first Darksiders. After War is convicted and sent back to Earth by the Charred Council, they inform the other three Horseman of his fate. The Horseman Death, knowing that his brother War is the most honorable and incorruptible of the four and would never have started the Apocalypse early." so before war is able to go back and fix what he made and in a sense before the first one
Epic! Great game. Great characters. Check out the Destroyer's burning eye and the scar on it - suggesting that he is blind with it just as Abaddon. And with that same eye he failed to see that Auriel opened her eyes in his hand. Look when the Watcher tosses Auriel how she looks at the sword and knew what she must do. Look how when the Watchers head was squashed his body relaxed. Great details. Epic dialogues. Great voice acting. Great script. Perfect game - 10/10.
its funny how when I first played this game, (and note I was on a blind playthrough), moment I heard the name Abaddon for the first time, I had actually guessed that he was the main bad guy...funny how reading WARHAMMER 40k lore happens to tie into my thought process, and the fact I was right.
He is not LITERALLY death, none of these character LITERALLY are what they are called. War was designed to be big, bulky and powerful while Death was designed to be smooth, fast and agile and they succeded with that and he still felt really powerful for what he was. I would ask of you to give it another chance and embrace Death for what he is and im sure you will enjoy it alot more!
it is. Mark Hamil is the voice of The Watcher in this game, Fire Lord Ozai in Last Airbender, and he's the Joker in The 90's Batman Cartoon, Batman Beyond Return of the Joker, some episodes of Justice League, & Arkham Asylum/City...along w/ a few million other characters
The story is very good, alot of things i did not expect. Although the missions seems repeat a pattern, collect 3 items and so forth. The game is never gonna get the same feeling as the first as it is the sequel and set in a way diffrent tone and a tons of diffrent enviroments, this however is not a bad thing. The design overall was very awesome, and gave me at least a very epic feeling in some hugely glorious open areas.
They are Comic Books about the other two horseman: Strife an Famine. I havent read them but there is also a little Backstory about other Missions of the Horseman, for example when Uriel was still young and Abaddon placed a special Bomb to kill all Demons, War came over and owned them, saw the young Uriel and spared her
Yes in this series it is war, strife, fury and then death. We've already seen war and death but im sure fury is a female that uses a firey whip as her main weapon (where death uses the scythes and war has the chaoseater) and strifes main weapons are two pistols - he is known as the rider of the white horse. Ps: fury is in darksiders 2
allusion : An allusion is a figure of speech that makes a reference to, or a representation of, people, places, events, literary work, myths, or works of art, either directly or by implication.
Yeah. Liam O'Brien is probably one of the coolest voice actors ever. I know this might seem like a joke but I can't get enough of "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes me wish for a Nuclear Winter" or another favorite which is "I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!"
the new company so better finish this series or ill have a break down!! I hope the girl rider is as bad ass Uriel. and please oh PLEASE, give us that 4 player coop! 4 horsemen against the endless hordes of heaven and hell......so awesome
Do not let what someone else says sway you, its up to you to play what you think is good. Darksiders 2 is not bad, it is just different than one that is all, as it suposed to be.
I think it was implied that because Death was not sent out by the Charred Council he did not recieve his own schyte for example, the ones he carry around in this game are replacements and are not as strong
It all depends on interpretation, one defintion for famine is this: deficiency of something: a severe shortage of something. That could work in a multitutde of ways in term of gameplay. Using powers to effect how the body perceives its own supplies, fooling the body into thinking it's internal supply of food, water, etc are low. Just look at how the Show Supernatural potrayed Famine, he amplified his victims inner urges, cravings, and desires. The possibilities are there, you just need to look.
The thing is, I really adore this game, but I can't do the final boss, because the quicktime thing does literally not work on PC for me. Does anyone have any tips?
Actually Ras is right. Death, Fury, and Strife are what the developers of Darksiders call them. Their Original names are War, Death, Famine, & Pestilence.
Cataclysm came out durring 2011, darksiders durring 2008, Deathwing had some models but the deadline one was for catclysm, Abaddon as a dragon has armor, Deathwing doesn't so again, 'durrrr'
Here's my theory; only the archangels are titanic sized which is why Azrael is a little less than a hair shorter than Abaddon. Also, I don't think the nephilim had a chance to fully evolve as their entire species was eradicated, so they haven't had a chance to adapt or get any larger.
chadmannng222 As seen in the flashback, Absolom wasn't muh bigger than Death during the Eden War. But after years of hatred and fueled by Corruption, his seize grew to more titanic proportions. It is the corruption in him that makes him so huge.
Daniela K Ah wait what about Azrael though? He was really tall as well compared to war and taller I think than Abbadon before he fell. (I think this was in the comics when I saw Azrael almost as tall as the maker who helped War).
I dunno, I just read in an interview somewhere they did want to make one with all four. Who knows, maybe they'll make 5 games in total: War, Death, Fury, Strife, THEN all four. But I hope that's not the case, series rarely survive beyond the third installment. ;P
war sounds like Illidan Stormrage, the thing that had it's head crushed by war (forgot the name sry) sounds like the joker.... any other voices that sound familiar ?
Yes but, if you notice my original statement, I said 'Abbadon is fucking huge' and not 'Biggest bastard in this game'. I also think he might be the fastest of the bosses in his size-class of this game.
sadly there is chance it wont be made a THQ went bust but there is chance that darksiders will be reborn the developing team for darksiders went to a new company and tweated that the game belongs with them there is also an auction coming up on the 15 of april so lets hope they buy the rights to the game and give us darksiders 3
A character with a large broadsword fights a villain with wings and a rather long sword... but enough about Final Fantasy VII, this is a video about Darksiders.
left handed, black wings, uses a 12 foot katana, some moves also mimic sephiroth as well.did somebody had jenova's body when she fall down as a form of a meteor?
I cannot wait to see the real devil, and the real God, on the day that will come, where he will strike him down as we all fight with him. Damn, it's odd but we all have a war to look foward to.
I wasnt even aware of there being DLC for it, i played it at launch and finished it one go more or less and havent started it since. It was a while ago i played it, but explaining where you from here on would be a spoiler so sorry!
i didn't mean the fight in DS2 i said the mini-fight in the "comic" and war is only larger than death while death is older and way more capable. i guess u have to read the novel and the comics to fully know them both or maybe i am just going all fanboy on death :P
I get goosebumps after he says "No, not alone." c: then I see his two bros and his sis coming down from the sky.... but death ends up on a different planet somehow..
conquest IS a horsemen, but not of the 4 that were unleashed with the 7th seal being broken. it's war death famine and pestilence. If anything you could say conquest and war are one in the same, but they aren't.
Originally yes, but the developers decided to rename Famine and Pestilence as Fury and Strife, though I don't remember exactly why they changed the names to begin with.
