Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, known in Japan as Vampire: The Night Warriors, is the first title in the Darkstalkers fighting game series, developed and released by Capcom in 1994, originally for the CPS II arcade hardware. It was ported to the PlayStation by Psygnosis in 1996 and was followed by Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge in 1995. Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors was ported as a part of Capcom Fighting Collection on June 24, 2022 to Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

When I rented this game as a kid, I didn't even know characters had special moves. There was no manual (As always with rentals), but I managed to beat Pyron with Demitri, just using heavy punches and kicks.

Darkstalkers is an art of work... Capcom never did anything with it because they can't top it off plus they're lazy - Demitri wasn't used for years just because Capcom didn't bother to redraw his special move... They reused Morrigan's sprites until it got to the point that she looked like a Mugen character inserted in an official game.

Darkstalkers is the strongest Capcom fg franchise overall and highlighting its artistic project... the unbelievable jump from the humble SF2 to this ambitious new form of making fg 2d graphics and gameplay (unique for early 1994). But higher forms of art and creative effort like that are not always appreciated as deserved. SF is the popular Capcom franchise and nothing will surpass it. But in the SNK side is the same: the equivalent of underrated higher art project is the Last Blade games... also dead and with little hopes of ever returning just like DS. KOF will always be more popular. That applies to other gaming genres too.

It's ashame Capcom will not give us a new Darkstalkers game but hey I could be wrong and also the collection is a thing on mordern hardware.

No quiere hacerlo por culpa de mierdas cómo STREET FIGHTER que no enseña nada de valores para motivarte Siempre promete y promete y nunca cumple primero con Dino Crisis y luego con Rival SCHOOLS que no vuelven y la gente ha estado pidiendo a gritos que vuelva ya Rival SCHOOLS pero no quieren por culpa de STREET FIGHTER por eso están decayendo por que no quieren darle a la gente lo que quiere.
