It calls to me. Lol. Solid video! Thank you for reviewing it even though it's not exactly your favorite type. I don't know if it would help or hurt the design, but a riser halfway down the grip might have been a nice design tweak. I've heard a lot of pros and cons about the Type 18c in general, as well as the DSA reproduction specifically. But I know that if I go with another one (Balaur Arms, Albion, RK) I will still have a nagging feeling that I would have been happier with this one. Buy once, cry once! Lol
that is a massive sword! looking for this blade type for quite a while now🤔...i dont know if i love or hate it:)....also i dont know about DSA as a manufacturer, did the quality improve? i am currently focused away from the mass production swords and go for single craftsman with small teams...recently received my Landknecht Emporium Messer:)...
I would DSA is the best mass production style manufactured sword out there. Now ... that comes with a large qualifier. With mass production comes the flaws typical in mass production which DSA does often show signs of. Inconsistency with sharpening ... fit and finish ... and even the fit of the scabbards. However ... overall most of the time I think DSA gets these points right congruent with the price point they are usually at. This model is a good example of that metric.
