@@DrDES-dp6un That is what I love the most about him, and other musicians even more reclusive. Isengard was a testament to his lack of need to have help with a band, as it was one-man band. Most bands I like are one-man bands. There is something powerful about forcing yourself to use your imagination in order to feel the intended vibe of the song/band. You gotta get that feel how it was intended, like he might say with headphones in the dark, alone. I think there is a huge difference between being a musician, and being an entertainer. Some musicians entertain as well, but some musical entertainers are not musicians. He is not really an entertainer. To me he is more metal than Dani Filth, or Shagrath, or Abbath. He never bent or cowered to the industry, well maybe with Darkthrone's first death metal album, after that it was all about the music.
Absolutely brilliant concert, how interesting is this band and the evolution they had, the transition from death metal to black metal is incredible, without Darkthrone, Burzum, and Mayhem they couldn't have established a base in Black Metal. I love how Fenriz plays the drums, the man is brilliant!
1989 - i was 18 :), one year later i have this listen, sound like we really schandic death metal in early years, nice times. I think we must create one veteran poen air for maniacs over 45 years ^^ , and listen with old technologie old songs
Ahahaha, f--kin useless... Of course. Should have expected that. Just when the good riff ENDED, and peters out into lameness, you think it becomes good. There is always someone like that, unfortunately that seems to be a major part of the fandom... Not a good sign.
One of the best heavy metal bands period and Steve's vocals are impeccable hes right there with, dio, dickinson, halford and the rest of the top heavy metal vocalists of all time
True metal, this it's the correct definition of this masterpiece... TRUE FUCKING METAL!!! (Hey, Dimmu borgir fans!!! Did you under stand??? That's the way and we like it!!!) Greetings from Chili 🇨🇱 (Now im going to listen "Nordavind" in my discman... Jajajaja 🤟😎)
@@Standbackforscience he probably means that Fenriz did more technically challenging stuff later on. There's nothing wrong with his drumming here, but it's fairly simple to learn and play.
@@crawlingamongthestars3736 Hey Listen to scandinavian D-Beat punk, they play much fast music years before than darkthrone ..Listen to Crude ss demo 1982 and the band rhe shitlickers 1982 silence ep , in the early 80s the scandinavian bands was pioneers in music fast and agressive of protest.
@Cristian X That all sounds interesting, thanks for the recommendations. I'm not huge into punk, but am trying to learn more about it. I'm way more of a metal guy, though I like obvious stuff like Sex Pistols, Black Flag, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Cancerslug, Suicidal Tendencies.
