Clarence "big man" Clemons, truly a great sax player! If you want to hear him do the actual best sax solo ever, go for the song "Jungleland". That being said, this is a great song and my only negative for it is that I didn't find this earlier!
Best Christmas song ever.... I listen to it all year around. So if you're driving in South Florida in July...and you hear this song blasting from a car? It's must likely me 🎅
I like this song because of how far I made it to this year, I ask myself what made he better this year than it did last year and what did I accomplish this year than I did last year? I learned to be myself and understand myself more, I learned not everything will last forever and enjoy what you have now before it is gone. I will spend Christmas alone and I am ok with that, I do need that time to think things over and what I need to focus on as the new approaches.
if i‘ll ever go to new york alone i‘m gonna listen to this song on my headphones walking enthusiastically through that city and i wouldn‘t care if it‘s christmas time or not
This entire topic is completely subjective so no matter what anyone says the statement remains true for those who agree. And I one hundred percent agree 🤙🏻
Saludos. Desde Bolivia.
Radio stations need to play this one more. This song always puts me on the snowy big city streets with christmas lights everywhere and the atmosphere is cold but happy and warm
My son ( about to be 23 in a couple of weeks ) down loaded this on a flash drive and stuck it in the Kenwood unit in my pick-up the other day when we stopped at a local cafe' for lunch on the way back from picking up parts to put a 5.0 V-8/5-speed into his 2001 Ranger. I got out to go in and get our take-out order and he cranked this up. I walked out and saw at least a dozen people surrounding my vehicle! I was "cautious" and walked up on them. They were all smiling and some were singing along word for word! Every age group was represented from 10 or 12 up to 60+. Of course the younger ones connected it to Home Alone 2 but others (the older spectators) remembered it from back when. This is why I love good music. It can get a bunch of folks together and promote a lot of smiles and joy. Merry Christmas all.
I believe this song was actually written and recorded especially for the Home Alone 2 soundtrack in 1992, but perhaps it reminded the older folks of Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), Darlene Love's other Christmas hit from nearly 30 years earlier? Or maybe since Home Alone 2 is now 24 years old they just remembered that (time flies...). Great story anyway!
Sad but true why the fuck am I still playing Christmas songs when in my mind I feel like I out grew it but because I am older now and since I am working Christmas shift makes you think about spending Christmas with the family instead of working 😭
You might want to watch the Oscar-winning documentary "20 steps from stardom" and learn about her background if you haven't watched it yet. Phenomenal!
It's Halloween tomorrow, but Christmas is my most cherished holiday, because last year my mother bought me a plane ticket to come home for Christmas. To this day, I cherish last Christmas because my mother wanted me home for Christmas and that was all I wanted for Christmas. My mother and my siblings, because that's the greatest gift you could ever receive in any lifetime, but this year I'm going to be All alone on Christmas.
This song reminds me the good old days when I was young. I had lost few of my family due to cancer and thinking about the slad ride in the snow and hearing the bells. 🥺❤️
*hugs you virtually* Trust me I know the feeling of lost because I've lost both of my aunts in 87 days of each other and it hurts to know that. I know its a year since you've posted this but it still tugs at you when you're in a similar position to someone else who like you. Prayfully your head and spirits are lifted as im writing this reply💯👊🏾💯👊🏾
Dremix 98 Yes indeed! The late saxophonist Clarence “Big Mouth” Clemons and the rest of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band is on the single including the band’s guitarist and the producer of the track Little Steven Van Zandt.
This song I was searching for since I was a little kid. My little sis, Grandma and I would watch Home Alone 2 especially during the Christmas holidays and on break from school. This song brings back soo many memories. Thanks for the upload.
I am 31 yrs old its crazy i didn't even speak english when first hearing this in Home Alone 2 and now i can sing the whole song and its definitely my favorite Christmas song reminds me of my childhood my family moments in life alot of soul on here
This reminds me of a montage of late season christmas shopping at your local mall. Getting hot cocoa & shopping for the kids getting last min things & the mall is just bustling getting ready to end the holiday season. I love christmas i hope i find someone to create a family with & do Christmas like i dreamed as a child
