ha ha remember going there back in the late 70's the pub was a tin shed , the kegs came in around 4pm, on the back of a ute and she opened up ... we stayed at a house near the post office, never caught so many fish and shot hold the record for 4 pigs in one shot just outside of town .... great place
It never ceases to amaze me when people say “why would you go out there? There’s nothing to see.” We have found that there is soooo much to see if you just look out the window. We’ve come to realise that roughly every 20 minutes the scenery changes - the vegetation, the animals, the colours of the soil, plants, rocks etc. iIt takes our breath away. Australia, nothing like it. Thanks for taking us on your scenic tours with you. 😊
I love you guys your living the life i would love . Im in California but used to live in Arizona and absolutely love the off-road adventures and rivers and lakes you make me miss it so bad I’m 71 years old can’t wait to get back there and go on more Journey’s like you guys do keep up the good way of life God bless you thank you for what you’re doing I’m living precariously through you guys adventures Rick
It's is beyond cool to see how unmaterialistics you guys are the fact you show the journey not fixated on a car or van is just pure awesome. Thanks for making the content safe travels
Sounds funny to say my names on that pub (roof) with such pride - but those outback pubs are just the best …and of course the trips getting there - camping and fishing Can’t wait to take my wife up that way. Love that you guys hit these areas
Another great trip guys, I did the other side of the river to Tilpa about 6 weeks ago when i went to Brisbane to pick up my new Austrack off road camper.
Great spot guys…good to see it so green n the Darling actually flowing for a change. The video brings back great memories from when I lived out there, so thanks n hope you all have a blast 🍺🤙🏽
Just can not get better than these small country towns (if they can be called that) - loaded with character aswell as characters and overflowing with hospitality ! Have a great one .. .. ..
It’s a good thing the roads aren’t sealed otherwise be way to many people taking away the serenity of that place. And that’s what I love about you guys and your videos. The natural raw beauty and serenity of the land and life.
Another great vidio guys, it's good your showing the good ole aussie pubs once a home grown institution but now very much forgotten keep the wheels a Rollin Karstan maxine and little sweetheart zuri.😊
Once I seen Tilpa I just knew I had to check it out because I’ve spent many years working out there and just had to subscribe to your channel looking forward to seeing many more of your content cheers the ol caretaker 👍🍻🇦🇺
I got 30odd kms from Tilpa last April before the road was closed for flooding (on my way from Victoria to Cooktown in my 2000 Fowl-can ute.) Some mud puddles before the road closed signs had truck tracks more than 400 deep (I have a 200 clearance.) I thought it wise to comply! Later, the Castlereagh Hwy (bitumen) was flooded (closed!) ... lots of water all the way towards the Galilee Basin. Thinking about Tibooburra/Innaminka environs next drive.
Good one you guys, livin' da life! We did a little bit of that "road closed" stuff lots of years ago, always worked out fine, at least you don't come across much other traffic.
I agree totally with you guys about the road closed situation, you went with Garry's advice, but the cops would still fine you as you went past a road closed sign, I have done that before with a flooded sign, and had to fight it in court, I won tho lol Good on you for doing the right thing ...
Nice size carp here's the trick with them , fillet as usual cut out the dark blood line that gives the yucky muddy taste , don't worry about the bones there's too many to deal with just put fillets through a blender a couple off times to sort them bones out and add herbs and spices then u can make the best fish patty burgers in the world and have plenty off them 😉
Great stuff guys, your video production is 2nd to none , beautiful viewing...thank you for showing us your adventures ... Yeah, BTW , would you like to tag a VW country buggy on behind your OKA ? I have one in my front yard that I'd be happy to lend you , the little darlin' is desperate to see the world...and the way I see it is that you 2 really know how to keep an old Dubb alive and mobile ...just a thought 😉
Mate We are looking for a country buggy actually.. I had one year ago .. that was a reason to head out towards Tilpa .. I heard there was one out that way
@@KarstanAndMaxine g'day guys ,when you were stopped... ( VW style 😉) ... in Bonville a few weeks ago , we reached out to give you a hand but you were already sorted ( well done again !) I wanted to chat to you then about lending you the buggy ...I'm serious, it's been in my family for nearly 50 years so I can't sell it but I'd honestly be happy to lend it to you . I'll PM you on messenger. Cheers.
