Is it not possible to charge him with contempt? I have never ever seen a judge allow even a small amount or inferred disrespect. I saw a video once of a man who rolled his eyes and he was escorted out and charged with contempt of court. I know what the problem is, however justified the judge might be in how she handles this guy --- a huge unnamed group of militants will riot and threaten the lives of her family. They act like he does. If they don't get what they want, they don't care about justice.
Can't charge with contempt because he can't pay fine and he's already locked up. What he wants is to delay and push for someone to make a big error to give him a chance of appeal. He's enjoying the power this trial gives him and it will soon be over and he will be locked away forever.

Imagine attorneys being permitted to do 1/20th of what he did. An attorney can argue one point, or speak sharply to a judge, and an attorney is found in contempt, and can be fined $1000 or so.

The judge has helped him, has not held him in contempt and even kept him from hurting his own defense. There will be no mistrial or appeal. The judge has done an excellent job of maintaining her composure and professionalism.

Bc the Constitution was written in 1776 - and almost followed the Magna Charta from 1217. They don't recognize newer addition to the Constitution (although DB also mentioned article 14, which is a "get together" of article 1 - 2 - 5 and 6.

I’d have been charged with multiple assaults on him as a judge. Bottom line. All the years she’s went to school & sat through lectures & testing & then her internship and working her way up to judge Jenn status culminated to this one trial lol This is what she trained for.
Judge Dorow was extremely efficient in the court proceedings of this trial. Prosecution FULLY completely had everything in order. DB defense was definitely not available for him. Mainly due to all the videos of him doing the crimes he was charged, tried, convicted and sentenced for
She sure does yet she has to because his tactics and antics are all to set himself up for a resentencing or overturning his conviction on grounds of the many trial techniqualities and he knows that’s from all the times he’s spend behind bars before. This is really getting on my nerves but I’m sure glad they’re being patient and not taking him as a joke because there’s so many little techniqualities of the law he could use after conviction to waste more of the states time and money and agony of the victims and their families etc. They’re making sure he’s fully aware with exceeding patience because as someone who studied law and been on the wrong side of the law before he’s looking to poke techniqualities any way possible.

@@Azzlad Her job was to make sure the trial was legally conducted. She could have lost her temper and kicked him out more often, thereby denying Brooks his right to a fair trial, but she didn't. Weakness would be exactly the course you recommend. Brooks had a constitutional right to represent himself, and the judge had an obligation under state law to ensure he had as much access to the courtroom as possible. Her wisdom and her strength ensured Brooks trial was lawfully conducted despite his constant outbursts, and her wisdom and strength will ensure there is no basis at all for the case to be remanded for a new trial. Folks like you mistake bullying for strength, and folks like you don't understand the law, and don't understand our justice system, and you have no idea what obligations a judge has. She was every bit the professional. Brooks is in prison forever, in large part due to her skills as a judge.
You notice sometimes he is nice and sweet and switches to extreme anger. Narcissists love attention either good or bad. They are stuck emotionally at the age of trauma. So basically a 4 year old in an adult body. They lack accountability, responsibility. He knew he would be found guilty, so acting as his own attorney was not really detrimental. It was an opportunity for narcissistic supply. Read the DSM if you are interested in the features of such a creature.
I just don't understand why he was allowed to act like that in a court room very disrespectful but oh I forgot he doesn't respect anyone including himself. if he can harass the judge into a losing her composure and making any error he will have a chance at a mistrial. if convicted he plans to appeal so he is getting desperate and turning it up. each time the jury comes in he plays victim. this is his only strategy bcuz he’s not getting better at being his own attorney in fact he’s proving himself not only guilty but with complete disregard for human life. he demands respect but gives none. he’s an incredible case.
Just remind the JUDGE - Darrell Sov Cit Brooks did not try that stuff on FBI when they interviewed him. He was all about being Darrell Brooks for them.
