Darrell Brooks, Waukesha parade suspect, rants for 40 minutes straight 

Let's all remember the judge advised him against representation of himself.

The judge doesn't stop him in his tirade because he has, not just a right to represent himself, but the right to be stupid.

How ignorant to be trying to claim Sovereign citizen but yet mention your constitutional rights

I feel like Darrell just expects the judge to finally say “you know Darrell, you have all these worthy points that you are bringing up that I can’t answer, so just go home and have a nice day“

This man might single-handedly bring back capital punishment to Wisconsin.

This man actually talked all this time and managed to say nothing.

He’s quoting the constitution when it fits his narrative but he’s sovereign when it suits him

I like how this guy claims that both: A. The trial started WAY too fast, he didn't have time to review all documents B. His right to a speedy trial was violated, it took almost a full year to start the trial

It's funny that he is the only one wearing a mask. He's hiding. He's hiding his facial expressions or his mouthing things throughout the trial and not getting caught. Wearing a mask in this situation really shows the coward he truely is. If I were the judge I'd make him remove that mask. The judge, jury, court and witnesses have a right to face him with his face showing. I think it is contempt of court wraring that mask, just like wearing a hat or inappropriate clothing. So sad that you can actually hear the victims and their families getting emotional in the courtroom gallery. I feel so bad for them. I would have not been able to hold my composure and would have tried to hurt him with a pen, pencil or a homemade weapon

If your not a licensed attorney you probably shouldn’t have fired your attorney’s who DO have licenses to practice law. This was all your choice when you let your attorneys go. If you, Mr. Brooks, declare your sovereignty as a citizen and if it were granted you by this country 2 things would happen. 1. Everyone would have to be granted sovereignty for it to be right and just which would mean anarchy since sovereignty means not being bound by the laws of the land. So if it applies to you it would apply to everyone. 2. You consistently claim your rights under the constitution as a citizen of this country. Are you a citizen of this country or a Sovereign citizen, you cannot be both. You either are a citizen of this country bound by its laws and given citizen rights or you are Sovereign which means not bound by its laws and therefore not a recipient of its rights. You cannot have it both ways. Another issue is your refusal to accept the name given you at birth which you consistently used throughout your entire life up to and including your arrest and trial. At the point of trial is when you decided not to agree to be called by your name. You cannot deny who you are just because you say you're not Mr Brooks with no legal documentation providing proof of name change. Your refusal to acknowledge you are Mr. Brooks does not change the facts that you drove through the parade in your red SUV and killed 6 people and injured 70 plus people...no matter what name you use. Your DNA and fingerprints were found all over the SUV. Pictures of You driving the SUV through the parade have been documented. So both your attempts to distance yourself from who you are and what you did fail miserably.

You know what's interesting is he isn't a complete idiot… every so often he dances around something that is legitimate.... But then he goes off on these crazy tangents And nobody remembers the actual legitimate arguments, Which he didn't make very well to begin with, but he did touch on them a little bit... She tries to do her job & he tries to stop that at every turn! He doesn’t get his way so he just keeps rambling on & on & on & on & than on some more!

When he asked "Can anyone in this court make a claim against me?"-if I were any of the injured people present in the court at that moment, I would stand up. Or even if I were a relative of one of those who were killed. Also, when he says "I have the right to say whatever I want". But everybody else should also have the right to NOT listen to him if we also want. And then, when he says about that he didn't have the time to go through the documents, or that he doesn't understand certain points of law, that's also his fault for kicking out his legal team. He was advised to hold onto them, as they were even quite good, but he kicked them out regardless. There, I have replied to some of his complaints, and don't even need to know any law -- it's just common sense.

The security officer behind Darrel must have some kind of "happy place" he goes to. Sometimes you can just hear his thoughts being "I wonder what I'll have for dinner this evening...." or "Should I renew my car insurance when I get back? What did I pay last year...". To maintain such a calm demeanour when so close to such a torrent of stupidity is truly amazing. It's like that scene in the Simpsons where Homer is on the jury and Bart can read his mind. You can just feel the officer staring into and through the camera, probably mid-"out of body experience".
