i think the fact that he is straight, but so comfortable playing a gay character makes him a good role model. gay teens also need to here from someone straight that it's okay to be gay
'We are all everybody. We are all evil, we are all wonderful, we are all meek, we are all strong.' Ok what kind of perfect person can just come out with something like that on impulse, no notes or anything, after being asked a simple question about his dream role? I swear everything he says could be the lyrics to the most beautiful song ever written.
I missed this the first time I watched it because it kept skipping every 2 seconds, but the reference to Hamlet made me ridiculously happy. It's one of my favorite Shakespeare plays. (: And to add more regarding literature, his beliefs are very romantic. I feel like he'd be really into Poe, Keats, Lord Byron, etc. But that's merely an assumption, and I could be very wrong. :P And he has these elaborate, beautiful answers for simple questions. It's just really awesome to hear his responses.
i love how he is so humble. yes the writers came up with the role of blaine, and yes they write the scripts, but the character is nothing without a good actor behind it. darren brings such believability to the role and it is impossible to deny how talented he is. he may not be gay but he still portrayes a very strong character who is very grounded in his beliefs and who will fight for them. without darren behind the role, this "role model" could have been unrelateable or a weak character.
I think that every male under the age of thirty should have Darren Criss as his role model. Following his example would make dating a hell of a lot easier for both people involved.
Darren is such an amazing and inspirational man but he does not give himself enough credit! He is so talented and I feel like in most interviews he brings himself and his work down. Still, he is supermegafoxyawesomehot ;)
"step up to the plate" i was thinking that he would say "and show 'em that im something greattttt" and like bust out Harry Freaking Potter... just me? i just find him so awesome though. im quite a new fan to this whole darrencrissarmy thing, but he's starting to be a HUGE inspiration to me :)
What if I were to say you are a role model because of who you are and that it has nothing to do with glee, but with your dedication to your passion, friends, and admirers, and your political and social beliefs. And that I believe your talent is what got you to where you are today, and that I am really proud to be a huge starkid /(to a lesser extent) gleek. Explain that compliment away Darren. I dare you :)
'I'm sort of a goofy dude'... yes you are. I would love to see him as an evil person :) But Darren, you ARE a rolemodel. You're such an inspiration! I wish every straight guy could be so openminded!
Man this interview shows how well he thinks. And it kinda sucks that he has to own both sides because the interviewer is the most bland boring person that reads the cards. She has no business interviewing anyone
aw, when he talked about Chris! so awesome! they are both such amazing people. i'd wish Darren would turn gay, so they could get married, take over the world and fill it with fairytale animals, very potter quotes, pink sunglasses, sweet music and dance moves.
Oh a thought just hit me. If they are going to have hard times in their relationship the only though in my head is "please don't make me hate Kurt or Blaine"
@redwhiteblue74 Meh. She's okay. I like that she lets him kind of ramble instead of interrupting him every 5 seconds like some other reporters would. I've seen some pretty obnoxious interviewers so she didn't really bother me all that much. But yeah, I see what you mean.
@musiclover6945 :D its the truth. I feel like walking up to him. shaking him and being like "YOU'RE MY EFFING ROLE MODEL DEAL WITH IT", hugging him, and walking away.
Yeah, you can be a bad guy. I saw you in I Adora You. You were very believable. Also, I completely agree with you on the storytelling aspect. I don't think a movie is good unless the plot is good.
