I was received into the Church easter 2019, after many years struggling along in various non-Catholic Christian traditions. Praise be to God for His mercy! Thank you for sharing your journey. What a gift your wife brought to you, and she seems to have shown such humility and patience too.
Yes indeed! Jesus is present in the holy Eucharist in body, blood, soul and divinity. By receiving his body and blood, our body and blood are thoroughly cleansed of all our sins. Thank you Lord for this gift that you have so freely given us and make us into what you would want us to be.
This testimony is wonderful like Marino Restrepo’s testimony in English. Jesus(God)told Marino Restrepo the Catholic Church is my church. And I am so happy to be catholic. The true church.

I used a Mennonite homeschool curriculum. It was a great curriculum. Mennonites are a good Christian denomination. Their moral teaching are The same as ours. At the time I started homeschooling there were no Catholic curriculums available. Thank you for sharing.
There’s a Mennonite church across from my Catholic Church that has a gay flag sticker on their front sign. I always thought Mennonites were more conservative too, but I guess not all are. I don’t doubt what you’re saying though.
Mennonite morals are the same as Catholic. Think again. The doctrine of the two kingdoms. Non participation in government. Non resistance to violence. The priesthood of believers. Salvation through true faith. Denunciation of military. Prohibition of swearing oaths. Believers baptism. Call to martyrdom. Plain dress. Headcoverings for women. Our morals are about as different from you as Jesus was from Pilate. No offense. I was born Catholic but really heathen. Maybe it's just me but the Catholics were always one of the most false churches. Definitely not the "One True Church" like these people are saying.
Oh dear. I left the RC Church after a true encounter with God and then the Bible! 30 years later and my husband in ministry. And Praise God my 92 yr old father in law left!,and he used to teach RICA and pre Cana classes! Says he wishes he had long ago. Unbiblical Laws, traditions, abuses, idolatry…etc. is Christ to be found there? Yes but nearly impossible due to observing what I just said. I was a prideful Catholic. Thought my “one true church “ was above all others. I loved the sounds and even smells of mass. We weren’t like the brash Protestants! Then one by one those scales fell from my eyes. Seek the Lord while he may be found!
Hi Barbara. I'm so sorry and sad you left. You obviously don't understand the Catholic Church. Your not alone. I believe most Catholics don't understand the Church's teachings. The Catholic Church stands upon dogmas which don't change. There are lots of problems within the Church for sure, but only because it is ran by mere humans. That's why you can also have false teachings from within the Church. It's understandable why most don't understand the actual dogmas as catechesis has been so poor for so long. The youtube channel, Catechism in a year with Father Mike Schmitz, would be a great place to start to understand the Church. Those teachings will not sway with society the way that Protestant beliefs do. This is also why there are so many different Protestant churches. The beliefs change and then you start a new church or simply go to a different church that has those beliefs. This has a lot to do with why I'm at the Catholic church. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the Catholic Church.
You should read those church father quotes on the eucharist in context. First eucharist means thanksgiving, and that quote you're probably thinking of is docetism if you actually read it. It's that Jesus really became a man in the flesh, not transubstantiation. Don't feel bad, most are deceived by this. But you have to do your due diligence. God gave us the ability to know the truth, just go and look for yourself. There are many who think they're being lead by God to be Mormon or Catholic or whatever. Don't rely on things like that.

No. "Balance" is not restored. Another "Catholic" who never understood why they were Catholic. Catechesis in the Church has been very poor for a very long time. So sad.
@Southern Violinist Perhaps I didn't understand why I was in the Mennonite church. It's actually irrelevant. From the beginning of The Church, christians were killed because of their belief in Christ being present in the Eucharist. Those Christians were Catholic as that belief is only held in the Catholic church. That teaching is not in the Mennonite church. You also obviously don't understand the history of the Catholic church. It's understandable though since the inquisitions and crusades are something in history that almost all people don't understand and have accepted the common narrative. Indeed, there was wrong done within the inquisitions as they were carried out by mere humans but it would certainly seem that almost no has done their research on the subject to understand it correctly.
What a crock. He’s so convinced that the Catholic Church is the true church but not a word about the idol worship, not a word about the blasphemous belief that Mary is a go between us in Christ, not a word about all the blasphemous belief that the bread is actually the body of Christ. Not a word about the insults to Jesus that they crucify him every time the elements are given
Hi Super. I'm really sorry, but I'm no theologian so I'm not going to comment as such but it would probably be a good idea for you to get information about the Catholic Church from Catholic sources. One good source is Catholic Answers at www.catholic.com/ . Take a look around the site, maybe type in a search topic , and do a bit of research. They are pretty good at explaining what the church believes and why. It would certainly help with your understanding of the Church.
@@darrenschwartzentruber5011 If you know nothing about what you converted to, maybe you shouldn't have converted... The whole bible says don't worship objects, so you thought you should join the Christian denomination that worships a piece of bread?

@@darrenschwartzentruber5011 we need Jesus, but God is spirit. Why weren't people eating Jesus flecks of skin, his fallen hairs? Because, as it says in John 6 - he has the WORDS of eternal life. I can definitely see how Catholicism might in some way make more sense to submit to than mennonite, who are just random people. I just don't think Catholicism has held up the truth. If you use the bible as the measuring rod "canon", the Catholic church has gone off the rails. So they made themselves more canons during councils over the centuries. But the bible says the faith was ONCE delivered to the saints and says to stick to what they've been taught (seen in the bible and early church) and warns against new doctrines! What about a new focus? Would Paul think that was good? The new testament is alllll about Jesus. So we should put a lot more emphasis on Mary now? I don't trust that. Seems fishy to me. Doesn't feel like God's plan, but Satan's to me. Orthodox seems more correct than Catholic anyway but they're a little too obsessed with their images!

Why on earth would anyone want to join a works religion. Jesus never taught the 7 sacraments and the worship/adoration of "saints" and the sungod/moongod is flat wrong. There is soooo much wrong with the RCC.
Van, you need to do some research and take off your "lens" like I did. If you cannot do that, you will continue to live without the fullness of the faith. If you objectively seek the truth you will find it in the RCC. Indeed, there are things very wrong with the RCC, but only because it is run by mere humans. It's teachings will always remain true and nothing will prevail against it.
@Southern Violinist On what premise can you possibly declare whether or not someone else has faith? How can you possibly know someone else's heart? Again, it would seem that this is somewhat irrelevant. I have always believed in The triune God. Is that not faith?
Jesus never wrote the bible, what he left was His Church and that was and is the Catholic Church and we have an unbroken line of apostolic succession, something JS doesn't have in his manmade church with their manmade traditions
@Southern Violinist Catholics study Church history because that's our history, the head of our Church is Jesus. Yours in Luther who was an evil man moved by the devil which he himself claimed and accused God of being evil and Satan. You worship an evil man and have abandoned every teaching of Christ. Hence why you believe that doing good works and being a good person is bad, and you promote that as long as anyone converts into your man made religion, anyone can do evil as long as they believe. Faith without works is dead.
