Got my first symmetric ever..dv8 verge solid and love it. Was thinking phase 2 for my next so this was a great vid. Zen soul is now on my radar too! A bit leary with anything pearl though since i have such high axis tilt and usually my stuff goes longer before reading. Wishing i could drill both and try them with my verge solid to pick 😬

Ok,I think I could keep both in my bag. Phase 2 was my first 279 ball...loooove that ball. Some patterns I have dealt with you dont keep moving left. I sometimes would move back right with a lesser hook ball (phase 2). I would practice with both and see which one to start with. I do have a rev rate of around 440 or so but an average speed of 16/17 mph. Slower than some yes, but I seem to control it better by moving down in the bag than automatically going with something stronger. Just me. I would put both in my bag cause worse case, I can get the PH2 to do anything

P2 is in a class of it's own, but after watching both motions side by side Zen Soul might be a Good Ball for my inside line. I'm contemplating the Reality Check as that looks lime a ball I could move around a little with.

So I used to use a Phaze 2 when I bowled 15 pounds, and I loved it, but I had to go down to 14 due to ring finger pain. I got a 14 pound Zen and I love it even more. If you look at RoG and differential, the Zen and Zen Soul barely changes from 15 to 14. The 15 pound Phaze 2 changes from 2.48 and .051 to 2.53 and .050 for 14. I'm sure it is still good but different. But is it different enough to consider a 14 pound Zen Soul as they barely change numbers? I'm guessing that I can't really go wrong. I hope all 3 balls stick around for a long time. Great video as always Luis!

I want to try one of these so bad but hard to justify since I'm done until end of August. May order it anyway. Currently have an Altered Reality, short pin Helios, and Raw Hammer pearl, along with some older B7 stuff

That damn Phaze 2! Perfecto. And I'm a hammer guy and not much of a storm fan for personal reasons lol. Great content as always and that zen is good and has a very nice controllable shape down lane ( from my eyes)

At the very least I think I'd have them at different surfaces if I had them both. Which one to use first though is the question. The P2 is traditionally the 'benchmark', the first one out of the bag, but it's also older tech and the Soul is the latest and greatest. I'd say the other two zens make more sense to work in conjunction with the P2 than the Soul.

Wish you would show the layouts on the ball. I know it depends on your pap but would still like to see the layout to get an idea of the layout. What is your pap rev rate and tilt anyway?

I think at factory surface or lane shined the nova doesn't stand out much, the moment that puppy gets polished it becomes a standout piece. Everytime i throw mine people ask what ball is it because it hits the corner and pins so hard.

Luis you said you wouldn’t have both in a 3 ball bag. What ball do you recommend out of the two? I’m building my first arsenal for league and I have a purple hammer and a mix for spares.

I just received the Zen Soul, but I haven't drilled it yet. I'm thinking of taking a little off the back end to smooth it out just a touch.

Luis, have you thrown the Soul and the Altered Reality side by side? Do you feel they overlap too much in strength, with just a slight difference in shape, where the Altered, I assume, is longer and sharper, but the Soul is earlier and smoother, but with similar hook potentials?

Since they are both symmetrical hybrids with similar specs, I like to see a comparison of the Zen Soul with the Phaze 3 with the same surface 4000 perhaps.

I’ve had my phaze 2 for almost 2 months and I used it last night for lane talk and it propelled me over the cut of 222 with a finish score of 232. May give it another go to see if I can increase my score but I love my phaze 2

SOUL VS HELIOS!! I bet they are closer than the Phase 2. Every Helios video said the same thing about it compared to the Phase 2. Stronger/shapes more.

Would you go with a Phaze 2 or zen soul on a house shot? I am a 2 hander who bowls at 15 mph.

I've heard criticism that the Zen Soul is too close to Phaze II. I have a Zen and Phaze II at the old box finish, prior to the 4K fast. Will I see more of a difference? I know it is a tough question without you knowing my game. Thanks Luis!

Phaze 2 is an old ball, but it’s slightly cheaper than the New Zen. Wish Storm would drop the price permanently on the Phaze 2.

The zen soul looks like it hooks earlier and has more overall hook.

Louie, for a better comparison with each bowling ball, sync how each ball migrated down the lanes on video footage at the same time for a better experience with the nuisances of their migration.

Zen Soul looks weaker. It gets less traction in oil and reacts harder to friction.

Phase ll just stole the show imo.

Darren Tang isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. He's a great bowler, but his ball reviews are terrible. He constantly contradicts what's happening on the lane to "staffer guy" the ball.
