@@macabree5856If you're from South Central Los Angeles. Most things get taken care of personally. Law enforcement is not quick to solve certain crimes in certain areas. If they even solve them at all.
@@macabree5856 Absolutely no worries. I'm from Venice a little town in Los Angeles. Pretty much most of the inner cities in the USA have the same thought process when it comes to this. Los Angeles and Chicago may be even more extremely high due to the magnitude of gang culture going back decades. The gangs are tribal so if someone kills or harms your loved ones. The tribe will answer no need for law enforcement. Who again over 80% of the time have no will to solve any crime in certain neighborhoods.
For anyone unaware, Darryl is now a traveling minister and goes around to different churches and shares his testimony. I heard him guest speak at my local church a few months ago. I’m so happy he turned his life around and surrendered himself to God. He seems to be doing much better now and his wife is a huge success of that. I hope him and his son can connect this year and finally meet. Thank you VLAD for interviewing this legend. He goes into a lot more detail with you in regards to his past life. The fall before the rise.
I grew up watching him play, he was a great player! I watched a documentary on him some years ago but when he started saying he had healing hands I moved around.
I was there during those peak years following Mets and Yankees.. He overcame alot of demons and bad choices.. BUT HE A REALLY GOOD GUY.. NOT MANY PEOPLE COME BACK,, TELLING HIS STORY IS NOT EASY. I GUESS HE BECAME HUMBLE. AND PUT HIS FAITH IN GOD. IT TAKES ALOT TO TALK ABOUT YOURSELF.. I SUPPORTED HIM AS A FAN AND MOST IMPORTANT AS A HUMAN BEING..
Still haven't thought of anyone to portray him or Doc Gooden.. A biopic needs to be produced on that 1984 to 1988 team. And they both played for Yankees..
I said it before and I say it again if it wasn't for Darryl strawberry off the field issues this dude would be in the Hall of Fame. He should be in the hall of fame. People forget that he was one of the first baseball players that was more known for his off the field issues then his actual career. He was like Johnny Manziel but with the work eithc!! And it's refreshing to hear somebody who's not going to snitch out on their friends!!
No he shouldn't in the HOF. He wasn't good enough for long enough. You don't get credit for things you could have done on the field but didn't actually do. He had a good career not an all time great one.
@@tommyfu9271Bruh it's not a game of who was it in long enough Look up his resume three time world champion home run leader twice at the height he was one of the top five players in his era. Man stop. Tell me you don't know baseball without telling me you don't know baseball
@@tommyfu9271 8× All-Star (1984-1991) 3× World Series champion (1986, 1996, 1999) NL Rookie of the Year (1983) 2× Silver Slugger Award (1988, 1990) NL home run leader (1988) Over 334 home runs, my man what are you talking about he should not be in the HOF??
@@flyguy7825 Rickey Henderson, Tim Raines, Willie McGee, Mike Schmidt, Don Mattingly, Kirby Puckett, Dave Winfield, Jose Canseco, Bonds, Eric Davis, and many more were all better ballplayers during his era. He was homerun or nothing with good speed but a bad baserunner.
Darryl Strawberry has come a long way. And it's great that he's able to tell his story, and how his story can inspire others to turn their lives around. If D.S. can do it, anybody can!
Doc Gooden and Darryl created an eternal connection and great memories for NY Baseball fans. Even for us Yankee fans. For myself, it was the only period where I followed and attended Met games. For the youngsters, if they hadn't been caught up in the drug "war" in the 80's ( i.e when the U.S Gov't flooded black neighborhoods with drugs to finance international proxy wars for stealing resources) they both would likely have been Hall of famers. Straw who hit 335 while missing major parts of 6 seasons with drug and cancer problems had can't miss Hall of fame talents. Doctor K had HOF abilities too. I'm glad they will be honored at SHEA this year. ( a little Yankee fan dig😁)
I enjoy seeing him exercise modesty and even social restraint in his manner and what he is willing to say. The interviewer baited him several times, and he refused to go there. Cheers Mr. Strawberry.
IRS- “Doc give us names” Doc- “ I ain’t no snitch or no shit like that” Also Doc on Vladtv- “We all was doing it Larry, Curly, Mo, and Joe” 😂😂😂😂 Hilarious
IT WAS A COUPLE OF TIMES LOL... THATS KRAZY CUZ MR STRAWBERRY WAS PUTTING UP NUMBERS AFTER GETTING SOME PUM PUM IS KRAZY😂😂😂😂💪🏾🗽.. THATS MY GUY MR STRAWBERRY LOL!
My nana used to love her some Darryl Strawberry in the 90s he used to always be in the tabloids for his victories and his scandals. The most funny thing I could remember her saying about him was “oooweee that chile always getting caught up wit dat dope!” She was furious she would speak with her strong Louisiana accent and she was passionate about him messing up and ruining his career when Darryl Strawberry’s career flopped I felt like it was happening in my living room cus nana was so effected by it 😂
Darryl Strawberry would be in the Hall of Fame had he stayed healthy and not used drugs. Imagine how many more home runs he would have hit. At least 500. Glad he turned his life around.
I’ve done this while on the clock on jobs. I would leave with a chick come back manager wouldn’t even know because I was working outside . Also have done whiles working inside late night on a job. You just have to know when you can get away it
Being wealthy in the 80$ was the best time to be alive. I'm not surprised about people treating money like that. You definitely can not treat money like that now😂
