Great video Bots! I look at this from my Buzz Bee fan perspective... If Buzz Bee had all of these QC issues everyone would've been up in arms ready to shut them down. Just look at the one issue they had with the Thundershot (which they fixed basically in record time with free blasters for anyone that contacted them). Dart Zone gets a pass from so many because of a nice run from Aeon (the Aeon was out a bit before the Nexus) to Stryker/Dictator. They just need to slow down and tighten up the QC all around. They've had lots of dart fit issues going back to before their quick rise, as far back as 2016/2017, so they've struggled to sort that for a long time.

I remember all the flak Buzzbee got for the Thundershot. but they were fast to correct it and do better. We won't be critical if we didn't care! I'm happy to say that even when a Buzzbee product has disappointed me, such as in means of performance, distance, range, etc. The blaster still performed as something you could give to a kid and they would still have fun with.

Bots Great video. Thanks for the honesty and you opinion. We have quite a few Dart Zone pro blasters and other than the cylinder spring issue we have been reasonably happy. We don't put a tone of stress on these blasters so i guess small sample size. Keep up the great work.

Thank you so much for the support! I am glad the video was helpful. I don't like making critical videos but it hit very close to home when we want Dart Zone to just slow down with their Quality Control.

Great video! Well said. The ambassador idea is a fantastic idea and would do nothing but give them vital feedback about their unreleased blasters.

I think so too. Hell even if they don't want to send the players the blasters maybe get a group of ambassadors fly them out to use the new prototypes for a day and I mean solidly use them for a day hard competitiveness that will show them where flaws are. Glad you enjoyed it :)

I first saw a problem with the MK.2 pistol. The first one I got would barely get 90 fps. The sent me a new one and it had exactly the same problem. I had to get an orange MK.2 to finally get one that performs decently. I'm glad you talked about this topic. We've al seen Dart Zone do great things. They need to continue doing great things.

In my original draft I did talk about that with the MK 2 but it got cut because there was already way too long at 45 mins lol I had to cut it down to 15 :p

I agree bots. I had 3 tomahawk 60s and they all broke either due to the pusher breaking or the rotation mechanism breaking.

Well said, Dart Zone has done a lot more then Nerf when it comes to listening to what we want, which is pro blasters, and way more in customer service regarding blaster faults. But also those faults should be far and few. The deuce? The omnia? The mk3? The 2.1? Multiple blasters that have problems? What gives? QC comes first, ALWAYS. Please dont become the warden of blaster manufacturers

Exactly, I stopped buying the newest blasters from Dart Zone after the Deuce Pro because of it's issues. Dart Zone Pro/Max used to be "Oh this blaster is gonna rock!" and I'd slam down my Credit card! Now it's closer to "Oh jeez what's wrong with this one..." and I debate if I actually want it or not.

honestly i love how critical the nerf community is towards these companies. other hobby spaces tend to eat up more crap. like action figures can arrive broken or in poor quality and they'll be happy about it but if one of these companiws even have bad quality control its over

Incredibly well said im in the process of writing a video going really in depth with comparisons of dart zone blasters vs what was released either at the same time or right around the launch of a blaster. (gameface showing off the Trion during the dzpt of which the mk 1.2 jammed repeatedly)as well as just how they have the potential to be the single best option for box to field style blasters, but just keep missing the mark due to having small issues that impact the experience immensely.

Extreme? I wouldn't say that Frustrated for sure. But I never criticize without offering some form of solution to a problem. I don't have all the answers. I never claimed to of course just want the company I love to do better.

The Spectrum was very solid. I still love mine. Tomcat I got scared off of when I saw people with bruised wrists and hands because of the placement of the drum. It's good with the half mag adapter though.

I dont think I can agree with the assessment. What blaster company has perfect q.c.? I personally love the xshot LS, but the parts are garbage in a beautiful design. Nerf? Riddled with q.c. and cash grabbing; if anything, they brought the market price down by 50% or more for pro level blasters. I do think they could make improvements in design flaws, but overall q.c. is on par, if not better than a lot of the blaster companies. I think the level of criticism is not warranted in a fair light. They've had too many great blasters that dont compare to any other major brand, and at a better value per $. Aeon Pro, Nexus, Stryker, Dictator, mk 1.2 (just remove the dart guide), Tomcat, mk2, mk2.1,and the outlaw. I have less issues with the blasters I mentioned than pretty much anything else. Again, I agree I want to see improvements, but I dont agree with the level of criticism in brand comparison. It's holding them accountable to the highest pedestal, and there's a reason for that... cause they have been really good, for a long time now. Like u said, their full length, stock blasters are some of the greatest. Dust off that purple nexus. It needs love. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

You are completely right with that my dude. No Company has perfect quality control and as I stated it's a slow decline of what I have seen happen in almost every blaster they had put out after the Deuce Pro. The thing with Nerf is that their products work out of the box, now as people in the hobby we generally don't like their stock performance so we want to improve them and bring them up to our standards. When we do that we introduce more elements for product failure but that's comparing apples to oranges with Dart Zone. Dart Zone, from my perspective, Tries to push these blasters as "Competition ready Out of the Box" and they sadly aren't. I've seen too many of their blasters having to rely on people in the hobby to fix the issues with them to make them serviceable. Maybe I am holding them too high of a standard but when your first Pro Blaster is the Nexus Pro and then the Aeon Pro to follow it up, they set their own bar high. Like I said I am critical because I love them haha. And yea I went plinking with my Purple Nexus ;) Thanks for the feedback bro!

@@dancarthen3634 honestly, lot of it comes from modding to a higher spring that some parts cracked over time. The turnaround breech piece was cracked; it still functioned, but I replaced it with a printed part (way sturdier). The gen1 xls has a diff plunger head that can crack as well. I have 2 gen1s and they are still ok.. they released a diff plungerhead design later in production.

@@botsnblasters still hold them accountable, but I don't think it's lack of trying on their part. Basically they do need to do better. All the mistakes were so simple and too late to fix cause they made everything already and shipped it. Anyway, hope they do better. U made me think of that weird raptor blaster they had for full lengths. I always low key wanted it, but didn't want to pay the $ lol. Regrets. I also never paid the toll for a purple nexus. Enjoy!

@@botsnblasters I agree with what you put down and if there’s anything that I personally take away from foams response is that these companies totally need more q.c consumer testing or some form of it. I think that’d also improve the overall community’s moral and interest in the hobby considering casual users feel like their input matters. However I do also agree it’s probably not as simple as a q.c issue it maybe has to do with a stage in between testing and release, but what do I know. I still think you have a good idea.

Fix it felix!!!😂 totally agree alot of nerf products claiming pro blasters still being modded... 3d printed blasters are all the rage and there more efficiency as long as you have good printers & filaments. I like the ability to pick up a brand new blaster off the shelf and be able to just use it give to a friend or my nephew's friends and not worry about it malfunctioning. Modding can always come later with experience to maximize the potential without destroying the internals which is why most come with a warning

Amen! Preach on brother Bots! I agree with your assessment. DartZone is probably the best in the space since the Nexus Pro, however for every 2 or 3 winners, there shouldn't be a loser due to poor quality control that could have easily been rectified. Even the blasters that are in the loser column are great, with one or 2 flaws that could have been and should have been caught through testing. I really love DartZone as a company for what they have done and continue to do for this hobby, and I truly want to see that continue, so this critique of yours comes from a place of love, not hate, just like mine! Keep it up my man!

Haha thanks for the support. But it's true everything I said is from a place of love because they are such minor issues. If they would have run a prototype in an office/warehouse war for more than a few rounds these issues would be known to them. I feel like Dart Zone is like my Teenage Kid, I'm disappointed that they got arrested for the 3rd time but I still love them at the end of the day.

@@botsnblasters Haha, exactly, I'm not mad, just disappointed! 🤣 Exactly though, for example, if either of us, or anyone else in the hobby had the Deuce Pro for one day, the minor issues would have been discovered rather quickly. I completely understand what you're saying. If DartZone can put out a masterpiece like the Aeon Pro at that price point, we know they can do great things and want that magic to continue!

I have quite a few Dart Zone short dart blasters: Nexus, Aeon, Stryker, Conquest, Dictator, MK2, and Outlaw. I'm happy to support DZ with a strong recommendation for all of those. However, there are several other DZ blasters that I'd be buying in a heartbeat except for the reported problems. I've avoided any buyer's remorse with DZ by doing my homework and choosing carefully, and that's really the best advice I can give for everyone in the hobby.

Another case of otter hates watermelon it's eating,"continues to eat watermelon", not truly hating just saying they know that the people you buy these blasters are the same people who are in the hobby and have those skills and who know that it's just a drop in the dogs water dish of small problems the company has compared to other companies who are just going down hill

I think that if "pro" is going to be slapped on something it needs to be as durable, reliable, and as comfortable as equipment a person would use for sport. I feel that the boldest and well thought out offerings from DZ served in that capacity whilst still very much being toys, I think it would be cool to see a change in philosophy that reflects what they can digest from the competitive scene.

I just want them to make the Villianator flywheel and full auto. But yeah there is issues with all the products. Its just annoying with their products.

I don't know if they would make the Villianator full auto but to make another drum blaster full auto would be cool. Look into the Tomahawk 60 it works great.

every mk3 rev switch will fail , they sent me replacements , i dont trust , i added a bypass momentary switch to each of my mk3. have 3 omnia 2 fixed and one gen 1 , no fires, but i feel your pain.

iv never had your issue with the dart zone outlaw. even with worn out shrunken butted bamboos. but the mk4 i had issues with it shooting far far far to the right. i had to do some grinding and tape stacking to bring the barrel tip left and make it shoot on target. i dont think they even need the ambassador program they just need to be honest and test their own blasters for five minutes and i do not think they are even doing that. they are in fact hiding performance issues before they release the blasters they are intentionally hiding performance issues with their blasters before they release them.

i just went and tried purple and red tipped bamboo darts that have been shot a dozen times i also tried ruby and worker darts that have been shot a dozen times. i was flicking the outlaw extremely hard and i couldnt get a single dart to move without firing the darts.@@botsnblasters

It happens mostly when you have it in a holster and flick it up to quickly fire. If it didn't happen to you congrats! I hope they fixed the issue. But I know me and a few other content creators have had the same issue.

To be fair most blaster Quality control isnt great sone are better than others. A lot if stuff coukd be way better but thats a cost questikn also. More quality more price its a spicy road if what works and whats reasonable. But yes overall quality needs to get better.

I agree with that but the main issue with it comes to Dart Zone and their quality control is they are marketing in performance and Price to the competitive hobby space. I'm sorry but I'm gonna dump $90+ USD on an Omnia I expect it to work put of the box. If the performance is not up to my demands (i.e. Rate of Fire, Mag Compatibility etc.) I can Choose to correct that by modding. That's the main difference to me :)

I don't think the notion of beta-testing Injection Molded blasters is ultimately practical. Without performing lessons learned ( or equivalent for their process ) you have no notion of where the failures are occurring, not to mention the additional mold costs.

I understand that entirely but something has to be done. This is ridiculous what's been going on with their quality control lately. I don't like to criticize if I don't have a constructive solution at hand. That's just being a Curmudgeon for no reason.
