Yeah, the multiple scenes showing Jar Jar surreptitiously mouthing precisely what other characters were saying is pretty conclusive evidence to me.

The threat hiding in plain sight all along was Palpatine. Any unironic belief that Jar Jar was the Sith Lord all along is only backed up by fabricated evidence. I once believed this video but looking back it’s pathetic how easily his points are shattered.

The other gungans have yellowish eyes to, but Jar Jars are rather unsettling, very much a sith yellow. You can really see it at 5:28

George Lucas saying Jar Jar is the key to all of this, isn’t about the actual character’s importance but rather the fact he was the first full CGI character in StarWars and if they got him down then doing the CG for the rest would be easier. They’re quite literally going over the story boards as he’s saying it. He’s the key to everything since the whole reason why the prequels came out way after the original trilogy was because the technology wasn’t there at the time yet so getting Jar Jar done would be a key milestone in the creation of the film and the following ones.
