I see what you're saying, but I think her performance works really well in the context of this show, and I think it's what she's intentionally going for...if that makes any sense.
I love how Disney excised the EU from Star Wars, yet they can't stop themselves from cribbing as much inspiration from it as possible - Boba surviving the Sarlacc, the fucking Darksaber, Grand Admiral Thrawn - it's almost as if they're entirely devoid of originality or imagination. Funny, that.
