"All I am surronded by is fear. And dead men." - Darth Vader When I tell y'all this man is not lying, this is easily one of the coldest quotes in all of Star Wars history.
I still like the Vader quote from the Rebels episode twilight of the apprentice when Ezra tells him he's not afraid of him and Vader replies " Then you will die braver than most" pure savage lol
The depth behind "Who's flying that?" "A Dead Man" is wild though. Vader is, as most Sith become, a revenant. A corpse holding not onto life, but the anger and the pain that killed him. Like Maul before him, he isn't alive, he just keeps going because he doesn't have anything left, the fire inside him is someone's else's flame, and it burns him inside out. He doesn't die because of his mask being removed, he looks at his own son, and lets all of the grief finally wash over him, lets himself mourn for the first time in decades, sees his son, and just... Drops. He is a dead man. He was always a dead man.
Thats a pretty accurate description even for D&D revenants. They can have divine or infernal objectives, but that is all that drives them. And, once they accomplish that objective, they burn out and die for good.
@@crazyworld54321 Sion, Maul, Vader, kind of Krayt since he was slowly dying for most of his Sith career, stretch it a little and Exar Kun and Marka Ragnos as well who trapped their spirits in the living world. The Sith are crazy man
Dr Doom and Darth Vader are basically two sides of similar coin both tragic beings that find security in villainous acts and gaining power to be safe and even having a lost Lenore they want to bring back to life
OMG YES! That's my favorite battle sequence ever I'm SW! The only thing that I actually missed as cannon fights go and the only thing that irks me about episode 3. Kitt Fisto and the rest are nerf bad, could have used more screen time no matter how powerful Palpatine was
The thing with Vader is that he never stopped believing that he was the chosen one (which he was). So Vader hearing that this other person is the chosen one frustrated him even more.
I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner. Now, I am the master. Leave it to Disney to make such an iconic line make no sense, Disney and their stupid retcons 🤦🏽♂️
yep, she had her own lightsaber and everything and was decently far into her training, before deciding to stop being a jedi and walk the path of a senator.
@@rignatetris4435She had the latent power to be a Jedi Master, but she liked being in the Senate more and using diplomacy. She mainly wanted to reach the level she felt that she needed to be in order to back up Luke and Han if necessary, and be able to defend her children if/when the need arises. Striving to be a Jedi Master is a full time endeavor, and she liked being a mom and senator too much to dedicate the time that was needed to become one.
Those voices that Vader is hearing at 13:51 are lines from the prequels. Paired with the fact that he says "ghosts" I'd wager that Obi-Wan isn't talking to him, but rather that the force is echoing stuff from Vader's past.
Vader down is such a funny sub title for this comic. Every time I hear it I imagine a comic cover with vader knocked out on the floor in some crater looking like Yamaha after he got blown up😂. A bunch of rebel soldiers pointing guns down at his unconscious body.
You really need to cover more Star Wars comics Rob. KOTOR, Crimson Empire, Darth Vader and the Ghost prison, Darth Vader and the Lost Command, and the Clone Wars comics are all S tier stories that need coverage.
@@brianbaylark3889becuase most of them are amazing storys not becuase of star wars but stories are great. Most of star wars fans are because of books and comics not movies
I think it's always nice to see a a little break from the roster of the Justice League, Avengers, and X-Men. Power Rangers, Walking Dead, The Boys, Spawn, X-O Manowar, Invincible, of course here with Star Wars, those have all been really fascinating stories to see covered through different arcs. Then the extra stuff like Punisher Max, still some of my favorite Patreon stuff to go back and rewatch (Especially Barracuda and the Nick Fury request).
Shows that no matter how much vader tried to bury anakin to cope with all his evil deeds and misery, he will never kill him fully, anakins flair for the dramatic remained and he was a show off till the end
This reminds me a bit of the Kessel Arc from Legends where a Vader who's only had a few months of retraining in his suit walks into a ambush of 8 Jedi and manages one way or the other to kill over half of them before the remaining bring an entire ceiling down on top of him. Even then, Vader still wasn't done fighting, and he had an amputated hand also. This man is an absolute hoss.
Vader is terrifying man, one of the greatest duelists in galactic history, arguably the best pilot in galactic history, one of the strongest and most resilient in galactic history, even after his potential was diminished one of the most powerful in the force in galactic history.
Damn... never thought of how Vader parallels with Doom before. Sure Doom was created first, but Vader got far better writing before Doom ever did. Still that is one helluva line he said. 🔥🔥🔥
"You underestimate the power of the dark side!" - Darth Vader 6:55 "What is happening down there? Somebody answer me!" - rebel commander "Commander your men are already dead." - Luke Skywalker
Plenty of S tier Star Wars comics. I'd recommend the KOTOR comics, Crimson Empire, Darth Vader and the Ghost prison, Darth Vader and the Lost Command, Tales of the Jedi comics, and Star Wars purge.
Bro. Star Wars horror movie equivalent is in the 2001 animated clone wars series (I think it’s 2001, early 2000’s) produced by the fella who made samurai Jack. Grevious absolutely terrorizes some Jedi and it’s like a stalker type horror movie 😭
You saay there was no indication in the original movies that Laia was force sensitive, but there was. Luke was speaking with her on Nedore, and he said "the force is strong in jy family. I have my father has it. My sister has it".
Rob when i see vader i clicked and when i hear you talkabout a total recall refrence via cornflakes i knew this Video would be fire also i hope your doing alright my friend RIP to Ben Potter aka Comicstorian The Goat of Comic YT Landscape
