here's the thing. Vader can absolutely break out of mind stuff, but he is not above temptation. he has broken out of a vision before because the vision offers him redemptions, he doesn't want redemption, he wants Padme back. So for him who is living a wretched life where every waking moment is filled with annoyance and agony, letting go and staying in that dream "just a little longer" was in character.

When the infinite Tsukuyomi is used. it cannot be broken out of, it's stronger then the most broken MS ability (Kotoamatsukami) but once he saw Padme, his hate vanished, his power did aswell. for that split second it made him vulnerable

The Infinite Tsukuyomi makes it so you don't even realize that you're in a dream, and it shows your greatest desire, making you not want to break out even if you could. So yea you're right about it.

thank you for explaining that because i was very confused on why vader couldn't break out, i thought it was because the infinite tsukuyomi would work on characters that have resistence/counters to illusion creation that vader couldn't break out, but that makes more sense

I think the inf Tsukuyomi would work on Vader considering it's a jutsu that is literally designed to bypass illusive barriers. Essentially, it's all encompassing regardless of their ability to resist illusions. Especially since it's so indistinguishable from reality most would never even know

The Infinite Tsukuyomi should work, but just two problems. First, It doesn't work fast and takes alot of time. Second, Obito shouldn't have had access to the ten tails. Getting the Ten Tail Took alot of time and prep to get. They should've just left that alone.

infinite tsukuyomi is just build different. Genjutsu is a one time thing while IT is ongoing. Genjutsu is limited while IT is well infinite so breaking out just mean in 0.0000001 etc you back in. There is also the fact that it shows what you most desire so even if you know its not real you would not want to wake up from it.

Honestly, I believe obito could’ve won in his normal form because they didn’t mention a lot of other abilities the rinnegan grants it’s user people are forgetting about the nakara path that I can fully regenerate a damaged body, so, even if Darth Vader destroy his eye, he can put himself inside the king of hell and get his eye back the other thing is invader was allowed to control kamui then obito could have used the Preta path when Vader touched him and absorbed or repel his energy manipulation there’s other things he could have done that would’ve made Vader weaponless I’m pretty sure obito would have known that the light saber was dangerous but the other error in the fight was that Vader was deflecting The truth seeking orbs would literally the orbs are meant to disintegrate anything it touches down to a spiritual energy level

the fight portrayed the lightsaber interactions correctly. Remember that its beam is a constantly refreshing river of particles. Put simply, the truth seeking orbs are indeed annihilating the lightsaber’s particles, but there are new particles (not regeneration) being sent out.

Tutaminis is a force ability that can deflect blasted bolts force lightning and even lightsaber stabs when using the force you are able to stop the attack with your palm the only person notable we see use this technique in canon is Yoda when deflecting force lightning from Dooku and Palpatine even tho there’s no proof of Vader using it people think that he used it on Han in the empire strikes back but he didn’t his cybernetic limbs can resist blasters if I’m mistaken someone can correct me

Obito didn’t give Kakashi another eye, he possessed his body which temporarily gave him both of Obito's Sharingan. Because apparently that's how ghosts work in Naruto lol

And yea, Vader can break out of mental attacks, but like the episode already says, it has to be a conscious choice and he has fallen to temptation before, as well as there being the fact that the Infinite Tsukuyomi worked on dozens of people who flat out resist illusions already

@@csk7769 Nah he can't break out of Infinite tsukuyomi. You need layered mental resistances to do that. I agree Vader could break out of a normal Genjutsu but the Infinite Tsukuyomi is like the god of genjutsus

One misconception is that Jedi were forbidden from forming attachments, and therefore, from falling in love. Thing is, the Jedi Code makes a very clear distinction between "love" and "attachment", with the latter being the more negative connotation.

The only thing that makes Obito wins this fight is because Vader is under the illusion that he was Anakin and he is with Padme living his dream life if he noticed it's a illusion he would've break out of it and get more angrier and more powerful because of the properties of the dark side

PS they nerfed Obito in this, because in the ten tails state. you are immune to all magic, except nature attacks and H2H, and the force is a magical thing in the SW Universe, which means it would not do a thing to him realistically. he could walk through it like butter due to his immunities, but also. the lightsaber is a plasma based weapon, not physical. it wouldn't hurt him either
