@@raimundb.5560 But this national "park" is so so huge! Surely the trees could be planted? Forest regenerated?...and one of the rangers was sitting there playing video games!! is he being paid to do that?? He should be there on that lifeless grassland from dawn to dusk with a shovel and saplings planting trees!! I think there is amazing work being done in reforestation but in Scotland ....This was cheery video but very depressing if you know what I mean....living in Australia we appreciate every bush and tree here.....
@@Nitka022 there’s no trees because they were all cut down during the 1500 to 1800 also the moors is great my favourite national park. Why do you keep going on about it your not even from down here so stop complaining. Also there’s tones of buzzards and different birds everywhere just because one video that is not showing the wildlife doesn’t mean there isn’t. It isn’t a sad place I love living on it and it is one of the oldest national parks so clearly it is well liked
OMG! Hate it! Am I the only one?? There is NOTHING THERE!! No trees, no birds, no wildlife to speak off...just ponies... So barren! It looks like a video I just watched about Borneo where they slashed and burned the rainforest! Same kind of barren, empty place with grasses and brown spots!! What is there to celebrate?....What is there to preserve? Such a sad, pitiful place...and soooo large...as far as the eye can see!...IF I travel to Europe I will visit the great forests over there with sanctuaries for bears and places with so, so many creatures!
Bronze age remains, stone circles and remains of medieval settlements. Amazing views from the tors and peace and quiet. If you dont fancy it then fair enough, hardly sad and pitiful though. It has inspired authors and artists alike. Probably best you dont visit. Pearls before swine comes to mind.
Why are you complaining that you hate the moors. It is great with lots of wildlife and history, get your facts right and also you know nothing about Dartmoor and live no where near it so how could you say that there’s nothing on it. Well it’s clearly liked by people as we get around 10 million visitors a year and the park was formed as one the first national parks.Borneo looks nothing like this, they. Are complete different places with different climates. Dartmoor is one of the only places to have granite tors and is hotspot for granite.
