What I mostly love from Kirk Bevins is that, as you can see in the video, he is the only one who changes his game shot call depending on the checkout and the whole situation.
Mark Blakelock yes I'll definitely make one in the future, I've had this idea many times but it requires a lot of time of research and I need to be less busy than I am now to make that video
George Noble's 180 call is what got me into darts in the first place. My brother and my dad would always watch the championship and I thought it was the most boring thing to ever exist, but I would always overhear his 180 call from the other side of the room and it got me intrigued. Fast forward two years I now have my own dartsboard and practice 2h every day. I know all the top players by heart and have watched more darts content then series on netflix.
george noble for me, always nostalgic listening to him as i grew up watching bdo where he started, then like all the best players he jumped ship to the pdc, his 180 call is just awesome
George Noble, but Kirk Bevins is becoming better and better. But as of all-time favorite, I'll state Rab Butler from the BDO. I like calling George Noble "the singing ref" because he calls 134 or 177 as if he's singing. 140 and 180 as well and the double-digit calls.
I also don't like Paul Hinks much. I don't like his 180 call. He calls a 9 darter like any normal leg. And he's just not loud enough. He reffed most of the recent 9 darters aswell.
I fuckin love that there is so much discussion on this topic. Glad it probably isn't just me that goes round playing 180 on my own, at work or walking down the street.
In the video I didn't explain that Bruce Spendley retired in 2013, as I know most of you already know it, but maybe it is right to say that at least in the comments.
My favourite caller in general was always Bruce Spendley (has he retired now btw?) but I just find Russ Bray's voice fits the grittiness that comes with darts, and he often laughs and jokes with the players. Paul Hinks win's the award for best "Ladies and Gentlemen can you please not shout out while the players are throwing", Seeing as he said it about 10 times a match aha
I love Russ Bray's way of saying 180. For me, him and George Noble are my favourite referees. Kirk and Huw are pretty awesome too. Does anybody know what's happened to Paul Hinks? Is he a PDC referee any more as well, does anyone know, please?
180: Russ Bray/ Paul Hinks 177/174/171: Kirk Bevins 140: Kirk Bevins Game shot in the ... leg: Kirk Bevins Game shot and the match: Russ Bray Game on: Russ Bray 🔥
@@veszidani Maybe a player, who is not that popular, who is no MVG at scoring or 110+ averages, but still a good player who reaches many Quarter-Finals. But never gets gold and wins trophies. This is also very good, but many people only want to see the trophies.
@@veszidani No, because they allready won or are well known as very good players. (also won championships) Ian White maybe is someone not many would say is absolutally high class, but he is always in the Ranking very high.
