08/07/2022 WONDERFUL and about time Australians learnt about NORFORCE and its' troops; local and from elsewhere. For those who are not in the know, we have been observing/protecting northern and western coastlines of Australia since the 1970's post Darwin Tracey! There are units based in a number of relevant areas and one only has to be driving through northern roads to see a number of vehicles come out of the bush and disappear somewhere else, to know they are "doing their job"! I was priviledged to have served in the 7IRC, a precurser to Northforce; with local Indigenous people as my offsiders; when the Unit was raised.
That’s really fantastic to see the vast knowledge of our First Nations people taken to a very much relevant context. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us all.
@@yeahnayeah4055 I have no doubt. What i am talking about is what Maj Bretherton said in this video about his indigenous soldiers having the knowledge of their country to know when something is out of place, or out of the ordinary. He describes this as an 'uncanny ability'. That is where they are different than the average Dig. And that is where they are particularly useful.
@@yeahnayeah4055 what everyone else doesn’t possess is the ability to read the land and sense abnormalities that only these men can ascertain. Thanks for the ignorant comment…
Beautiful wonderful work!!!, particularly on the importation of controlled banned illicit substances, that stuff harms communities and families right across Australia and neither benefits the construction of beneficial infrastructure or town projects... my name is Geoffrey Moore of dalby Queensland
100%. I would go much further! It should be available to anyone who wants to volunteer their time to learn . Not just bushcraft I’d love to volunteer my time to up skill to a volunteer defender / minute man.
Thanks what ultra sux ! A volunteer civilian defence service that has no part in overseas operations, just 100% in-defence of our nation. Wether it be for fire , flood , drought relief or any emergency that may threaten Australians .
