This week on Music Monday we show you the Ribbon Routine to "Revolutions" by the Russian Rhythmic Gymnast Darya Dmitriyeva from the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She claimed the silver medal during the all-around finals. Enjoy watching this fast & energetic performance!

@@barefrat654 Daria Kondakova did not compete, she was injured. The second Olympic spot came down to Daria Dimitriyeva and Alexandra Merkulova

@@Wiserwords25 I aware , Dmitrieva was behind kondakova all the time and because of this , she is forgotten. I never liked her tbh. Her routines arent good enough. Shumilova is way better coach then Olga Buyanova. You see Shumilova's stunning job also with Aleksandra Soldatova.

Well Kanaeva got the gold medal, so at the end, it doesn’t really matter

@@ballet2558 Well, for someone that was not on the contention to represent her country until her teammate injured, doing above well against a packed field is enough. Kanaeva was the clear fave from the get go and everyone paying attention to RG at that time know that, Dmitrieva is also aware of that. But for her to make a statement by performing such class and scored higher than the legend herself in an apparatus in the biggest stage of her life, well, that matters for her and some people

Тогда это имело значение, а сейчас и музыку включать не обязательно, в 90% случаев она просто фоном идёт, а в то время по движениям можно было угадать музыку😔
