In the 18th episode of "Das Dingsda im Museum", 12-year-old Emanuel and his mother Antonella explore the triptych "In Memory of George Dyer", painted by Francis Bacon in 1971.
The two of them imagine that the three-part painting depicts a mysterious man or even a politician.
Something strange seems to be happening in the pictures with the dull colours, as mother and son wonder what could have happened to the man lying on the floor, apparently distorted with pain. Both agree, however, that there are many stories to be read from this enigmatic large-format triptych by Francis Bacon.
