In this review I unpack a new contender in the do everything riser category - The HT21 from 3 Rivers Archery. This bow promises a lot but does it deliver? Watch until the end to find out and please support the channel if possible by leaving me a tip on VENMO: Mick_Chambers

Bought a 21 Das Dalaa in 2008, right after 3 rivers bought the rights. Still my go to riser.

Nock On?? Is Dudley in the house? Good video, I have a Satori and a Samick, and a WFX. I don't think I would give up the WFX. The DAS is pricier and looks clunky compared to the WFX. Plus I love Calvin and DeWayne' story, product, and achievements. Big fan. Thanks for your video.

Nice review. Thanks. I'd like to see a review of the 21" DAS Dalaa compared to the DAS HT21. I have two of the former mentioned risers and they are great as well. Considerably less money than the HT21 for the Dalaa. Of course, less featured though. Keep up the good work.

I actually gave my old original Dalaa to The Trad Lab (Cody), he loves that riser as well and they based this model after that one I believe.

Been waiting to hear about this riser. I’d love to see a real in-depth comparison between the CD21 and the Das. Ideally I’d just like to get my hands on both and see which I’d like better but it’s just not practical, especially being in Australia. I’d be comparing them to my current riser - a 21” Black Bear Warf and there’s already a few obvious advantages with either of the two new risers. How it feels to shoot is my primary concern though.
@ArcheryGeek
@ArcheryGeek 3 года назад
I can personally tell you that both are shooters.. both are have helped me to be more accurate, but I get your concern on feel. As trad archers we are all about how a bow feels to shoot and the case of any ILF riser the limb selection is a major part. With both risers able to change handles and add weight you can really dial in the feel. I wouldn’t hesitate on either if you want the best 21 inch riser on the planet :).

I've got a Discovery, and a 21" Satori. I'm very happy with both of them. I tend to shoot the Discovery more often, because i like the lighter mass weight. The 21" Satori is no lightweight. I don't think you can go wrong with either riser.

I want to see a contest between you and another similarly skilled archer, shoot at 25 yards, you with your $700 riser and $300 limbs, and him or her with a $150 Samick Sage. We could see if people buying all the fancy stuff are just paying for looks.
@ArcheryGeek
@ArcheryGeek 3 года назад
They don’t shoot Sages in the Olympics. The reason is that tech helps. It’s not subjective. If I shot against myself with a sage I would definitely shoot better with a high end bow. That I know is true. Also, If I was paying for looks I wouldn’t by an ILF riser either. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
@jacobwilliams5271
@jacobwilliams5271 3 года назад
@@ArcheryGeek Olympic bows have sights and giant stabilizers, put them on a relatively long budget bow and you'd get nearly the same effect. If we are talking just risers and limbs, no sights, no stabilizers, and no fancy arrow rests, 62 inch Sage=62 inch $1000 recurve
@ArcheryGeek
@ArcheryGeek 3 года назад
@@jacobwilliams5271 nope you wouldn’t. Not even close. A good bow with good arrows will out shoot a cheap bow with the same archer. Bow performance is not subjective it is something we can measure and it has been done. the TradLab does this a lot. That being said if you can only afford a certain level of bow it might make you a better archer. Feel and comfort might also impact shooting but overall a good archer will see improvements with a better bow.
@jamesasmith2494
@jamesasmith2494 2 года назад
@@jacobwilliams5271 You can't purchase an olympic type riser and limbs for a $1000.00. But an ILF Recurve will out perform even a high end recurve. The tech and the R & D that has gone into ILF limbs and risers put them in a different class. The materials used today in ILF limbs by Win & WIn and Uukha will out perform cheap and expensive recurves.

Way over priced……everyone gets all googly eyed crazy thinking this riser will be the end all to their shooting woes. Form and technique trump equipment every time. Besides a Hoyt xceed riser can be bought for that and it includes two grips. To sell a riser without a grip is well, stupid.sorry.
