The Das Ugly Stik from Hobby King is a great plane but we wanted to show you what we do to make it FarmProof. We upgraded the motor, and the biggest improvement is to the landing gear. Almost every review for this plane has complaints about the landing gear. It's a fantastic plane and this will eliminate the problems with the landing gear. Nice video man. I had a T-34 mentor fr Eflight. I have so far selected this model to transfer the parts to. Did not know they had this fault though that's why I prefer tricycle landing gears. Wish there was a video on her to repair my you can do landing gear like this video.

G'Day Joey, tell dad that I just got a parcel. It contains the Aussie version two Stik (sadly it came in blue!) but its a little ripper. All the best and cheers.

Great video - do you still have the plane? I've bought a newer blue one and really want to upgrade the motor, but the new one I've bought doesn't fit the stock motor mount. Can I ask: did you have to drill holes to add the new T28 mount? No worries if you can't remember - it was 6 years ago!! :)

Great question hglrr.. I certainly did forget to mention this. I like to use the 70Amp speed control from HK. Here is a link to the one I use; www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=24564This one has worked really well for us.   As for the battery, we use a 3 cell 2200mah. Hi guys. Nice mods to the plane. What amp ESC and batteries are you running in it? I'm finishing an old Mdwest Sweet Stik and plan to make it electric. This engine should fit the bill. Thanks!!

Those wheels were from an older plane we had. They were 2 3/4" wheels. Here is a link to Motion RC that has a very similar set of wheels for $4.69.www.motionrc.com/collections/main-wheels/products/dave-brown-treaded-lite-flite-2-50-wheel-set Hope this helps.

I'm behind the curve on this one but you have completely defeated the purpose of the plane by dumping the dummy engine. You could ha installed a big volter on ANY other stik.

SACRILEGE. You HAD a REAL engine and you swapped it out for Mmmmmotor? What about the growl, the noise, the smoke3, the fury. The Pistons, rods, crankshaft,,, the MUFFLER. Oh the humanity.

@@tracyhaynes5404 Please click on Wikipedia and go to 'The Spirit of Butts Farm' .. it's like 'The Spirit of St. Louis' - only smaller .. it is surprising what can be done on a tad over 5lbs of Coleman fuel and a drop of very good oil ..

This plane comes with a fake plastic motor, lol. The motor you see is a plastic cover for an electric motor.
