Idiots don't know they're idiots. There's nothing that pisses an idiot off more than being constantly called out for doing the wrong thing when _they don't believe_ they're doing anything wrong...
She is of the (mistaken) belief that because the tram is stopped, the car must also stop. (For those not aware, this isn't applicable in her case; that particular tram stop has a traffic island and safety barriers, so cars can keep moving even if the tram isn't. Cars must give way to tram passengers boarding or disembarking only at unprotected tram stops.)
I felt the cammer's reaction time was too fast...could have done with an older, less responsive person behind the wheel...ped may have learned a lesson then.
I just can't imagine being so reckless too, just to assume that cars would stop, even if I was stupid enough to feel so entitled, I've always felt skeptical about drivers & never trust them even at protected stops due to so many cars just blasting past to overtake the tram.
@@Umberspite Same. The truck driver at 6:38 could have slowed down, but didn't do a thing. Yet he would probably be the first person to curse at someone else for not letting him in.
I blame the draconian speed limit enforcement by our brave heroes at QPS. Everyone is determined to stick to the 59.9kmh that they're entitled to because they won't slow down and then risk going a bit over to make it up after. I see the same every time someone is turning left, the person following nearly rear ends the turning car rather than slow down for a second. If that turning car needs to stop mid turn then there's a crash.
Went to Adelaide one time and at the red light the car in front had their reverse lights on; I kept the length of a large delivery truck between him and me. He was probably wondering why I was sitting so far back. I think he realised why when he went to go and went backwards🙄🙄🙄🤦♀️
Happened to me, some assholes in a white van was pissed I was ahead of him in the left merge lane and he just couldn’t bare it - even though I had right of way and tried to speed up so I wouldn’t need to slam on brakes to affect heavy traffic. And of course, he swerved out and hit my car to say “don’t you dare get ahead”. Didn’t bother reporting it cos it’d cost more claiming excess than it’s worth just fixing myself. People can be dogs man
But that would've meant lifting their foot off the throttle for a whole second, and can't you think of the hit to their ego? how DARE that other car get in front of them?!?!?!?
@@dyIanVII I know right? Me personally, I never use my brakes or my indicators because my car is limited edition so I want to keep as many components in mint condition as possible.
Would it kill the other vehicle to wait until the lane was clear? Cammer did nothing wrong. Based on not knowing the weight of their loaded vehicle, I'm going to side with the cam car all day long on this one.
Tried to get ahead - couldn't wait a few seconds. Now... call to insurance company and go through the claim process, get quote from repairer, get the car repaired. Was it really worth it? .. oh, that's right, he was in the right....
These clips always remind me of my driving instructor's advice - A green light doesn't mean go, it means it's your turn to go. So beware of other drivers who don't respect a red.
I never had a smart driving instructor like that.. but fortunately after watching many dcoa videos, I too check the intersection is clear before taking off at a green light.
I always check the lanes left and right, especially to the right, have at least one vehicle in each lane, whilst waiting for the lights to change. If there is a free lane, I check that before I drive off with the green light.
all licenses, B double, semi, heavy rigid, car, motorbike, boat, plane. Everything. Let him have a pushbike license, or a "ride the bus license" more commonly known as "bus pass"
or.. stay with me here, I know it's complicated.. the vehicle which decided they needed to change lanes could have waited until the lane was clear, as per the law in every state.
@@SKY031 yes but it was such an avoidable accident, he had plenty of time to see the indicator and then just back off and let him in, now they have to stop and swap details and then deal with insurance and repairs. just not worth it to get literally one car length ahead in my opinion
@@SKY031 Both started changing at the same time then DC has to be the big boy and his ego and the car length he though he had saved just cost him a few lost hours.
You mean like "be courteous when changing lanes" Or "Be courteous when being cut off by a nimwit so the nimwit because the nimwit doesn't need to be courteous to you" ??
@@traj7196 No, I mean recognise that humans are fallible, that whoever offended you may not have been aware they were doing so, that you are in a multi ton vehicle with a massive amount of momentum and destructive potential and that your actions in seeking "revenge" or asserting your "rights" may come back to bite you in the arse. There's an old saying that my dad taught me, lo all those many years ago, when I was learning to drive: "He was right, dead right as he sped along. But he's just as dead as if he was wrong".
Hey man, there was just no way he could’ve survived that car park without his “built not bought” attitude. Just think of the livelihood of your local ARB dealer before commenting next time
Perhaps familiarize yourself with how a lane change works... and stay speechless until you've figured it out. Cammer did nothing wrong. Jackwad performed an unsafe lane change, and ruined everyones day.
@@SKY031he may not have done something illegal but he purposely sped up to block the guy in front who started indicating at the same time as him. Would it have been so bad to just let him in?
@@acorbey they sped up because they'd completed their lane change. Probably trying to get out of the way so the dude indicating could change lanes and get in BEHIND.
@@SKY031 Notice how you're the only one in the comments about this incident that is on the cammers side. Not a single other person agrees with you. What does that say? Again, I really hope you don't drive. For the sake of every else's survival.
06:05 - both cars sitting in the same lane, make the same manoeuvre, for the same reasons, at the same time, but somehow the dash cam driver thought it was a good idea to speed up and get into the other cars blind spot half way through the manoeuvre.
@@ipmoh86 Actually, the name of the song is "Popular Monster" by Falling In Reverse after a bit of googling.😝 I was just referencing a verse in the song that described the actions of the swift driver.
@@metarugia3981 I mean the next lyrics are literally "I fell asleep at the wheel again Crashed my car just to feel again" so that could have been their intention all along
@@martinleonard3807 And no one is saying an indicator gives you right of way, are they. This is why you don't pull out from behind someone and floor it. The driver in front would have checked his mirrors, looked over his shoulder, seen no one was in that lane, then in the two seconds between doing that and starting to move over this fuckwit floors it up next to him.
For real, intentionally drove into an easily avoidable accident. I'm actually surprised this isn't a crime in the bootlicking nanny state of Australia.
0:44 As a driver of a 4WD with a large landscaping trailer who uses double car parks, I’ve made a mental note to never park next to myself at shopping centres.
@@nattodatto Just avoid F wits like me in car parks mate. Park close to the entrance/exit and at the same time near the edge of the car park whenever possible. My understanding is that in car parks, road rules don’t apply and most insurance companies agree on a 50/50 split on payouts. I might be wrong but car park accidents should be avoided.
It's actually pathetic. He 100% saw a potential accident ahead of him, did nothing, kept driving, then complained after the fact. If I see someone indicating to turn into the lane I'm going into, I will not keep merging until I verify both of us are safe to do so. Although he may have been indicating first, he is behind the car, meaning it is his responsibility to not drive into this car. How did he know that was not going to happen? He didn't. This video is evidence of that. Again, for the fiftieth time, why would you keep driving into the arms of an accident you can foresee occurring? Ahhhh. Ego!
Probably didnt know it was there. Its why they sometimes put up signs so you know when the next one is, and hopefully dont get that kind of stupid happening.
With smaller camera's and all the CPU memory available...why can't EVERY red traffic light have a camera. Would save a fair few accidents and lives. At least in Aussie you have a decent fine system. Here in NZ it is just a gentle slap on the wrist.
15:15 Take note parents, don't allow your kids to run across the road, even at a marked/designated pedestrian crossing. I reckon this could've ended in a fatality(or two) if the Mitsi driver couldn't stop in time or didn't brake at all.😬
Something my parents were very clear on when I started cycling: it doesn't matter if you weren't at fault, you WILL be the one who gets hurt. Same applies to pedestrians.
10:59 lol @ einstein on the pushy looking back over his shoulder at his phone bouncing across the road behind him. I felt all warm and fuzzy and happy inside watching that 😂
I was wondering how we lasted this long and realised it was the norm to have children so young. Now that we wait a bit longer the dumbasses won't have spawned more dumbasses yet. So either we're doomed as a species or just hopefully the intelligent ones will carry us on
What I've come to realize is that it's better to drive defensively and avoid confrontations with these drivers as much as I can. Most of these drivers know very well they're breaking the law and are arrogant & selfish enough to not care about other road users. Let them learn their lessons, just don't make yourself an instrument of that lesson (Unless you're law enforcement).
@@Phil_X the red car should have been on the left, not in the middle blocking incoming cars. And easy peasy to pass him in a 4WD even with a door open. And why yell out about why did you toot? How many of us have had people reverse their cars into us?
14:20 For anyone wondering there was a person walking in front of the Camry which is why it stopped in the middle of road, for seemingly no reason, as you can just see the person's cap bobbing along.
Never exit the centenary in the left lane unless you plan to then get off at progress rd. In heavy traffic the queue jumpers are out in force to use the ipswich mwy left lane that ends
Yeah. Following too close. At the distance that clown was, he'd probably blame the truck for blocking his view of the indicators and brake lights.... I know I've heard that excuse before.
21:00 Getting out of your nice safe metal box to try and pick a fight with someone in body armour and a helmet 🤣 Thinking is clearly not that guy's strong suite.
I have had to tell a guy to back off before he copped a high five in the face from my helmet (I'm female by the way - what a big hero trying to lord it over a woman)
@@matthewjames7438 Looked like Gladesville, NSW. Bike allowed in bus lane here (Victoria Rd and Osgathorpe Rd), and cars allowed in bus lane to enter or leave the road (car would have had to change lanes as soon as possible, and bus lane ends around the corner too). Issue here is just car not giving way to oncoming traffic, and thinking the bike was in the wrong and thinking he's a tough guy.
The dash cam truck is an absolute asshole here. He could see that the six axle was trying to get over and that the car in front of him was stuffing him up. There's an unwittern code where we help eachother out in situations like this but the dash cam truck driver being so young (easy to tell by his voice) hasn't learned about that about yet. Hopefully he'll learn before someone has to teach him some manners.
@@Fullnoise I hear ya but I wondor what old Economymix was doing way over in the fast lane when there were no vehicles in the middle lane. He tailgated that car in the fast lane and then cruised over to push in front of the cammer. No doubt he is the older, experienced driver that thinks he owns the f'n road
@@TheTruthKiwi He could be but we all get caught out sometimes. At the end of the day, it would have only cost the DC truck a couple of seconds to lift the foot and let ol' mate in.
You need to raise your standards. They had an extra 3meters longer than their car, and still did reverse. its a 7/10 at best. If they didn't reverse, it would technically be a kerbside stop.
The driver who only just missed the pedestrians on the crossing if it was reported should be heavily fined and lose their licence. The bus driver who went through a red light should be suspended or sacked as well being fined.
6:10 To be fair, that was totally avoidable by the DC. The car in front was indicating and it was obvious they were wanting to move into that lane, yet the DC sped up. There was little to be gained by either driver.
In NSW (and other places), motorcycles are allowed to use bus lanes. Cars (that aren't taxis or hire cars) are NOT allowed to drive for more than 100 metres in Bus Lanes and then only to enter or leave the road.
@@AnotherDoug When will all states have the same rules. In SA busses only except for vehicles entering or leaving the road and then only the 100 meters -- So if it had been me driving the car I too would do the same thing expecting him to turn off
9:02 YO I was THERE, well I wasn't in the clip but I was at that exact same intersections minutes ago, I just turned into the showground on the right, and saw that exact same alfa romeo, thats wild (saw it minutes ago as in, the time this took place, during this time I actually had turned here cause I recognize that van that was sitting behind me)
@@jackaufenhand5710 NO, I am saying I was not IN the video but I was there literally minutes ago, like in the video, I dunno man I'm tired, like that van on the right turning lane, he was behind me, but in the video I had already turned right literally minutes ago
This is actually an interesting scenario because this sort of right turn is quite common... now I don't know if the right turn performed by the grey sedan is legal, but I've seen places where it is. If both vehicles are waiting to turn, both drivers would be blind from seeing any incoming vehicles from the camera's lane... so, in such a situation, how could one avoid this?
@@jonathanhandojo Nah yeah every time I turn from that particular intersection, I do the unthinkable that no one else does, which is optimizing the space of the turning lane and actually like being in the middle of the road, unlike other people, they just stop looking straight in the turning lane, making them have poorer visibility. By being in the middle of the road I mean turning in to the right more so I can see past the cars in the other turning lane ahead.
Driving, listening to chill out music, all of a sudden it's a disco in front of you. Police cars flashing past, lights and sirens, on your side of road ...... then back to chilling out!!! 😮😮😎

I don't drive trucks, but my assumption is you'd flex the rules just a tiny bit to give an allowance to another driver. Especially if that other driver is driving a 80 ton lump of steel. You lose nothing by giving up 5 meters of space here.
14:23 tee hee just going to continue crossing the road after causing a 3-car accident, instead of using the pedestrian crossing 20 meters down the road
Oh wow, good spot. I was wondering why the car in front stopped there, I thought that person was the driver getting out but now you mention about the pedestrian it all pieces together.
6:30 yes the road train should’ve checked before changing lanes. But DC driver being a truck driver, I thought that was a dangerous quick lane change too, could’ve been a driver in that far left lane. Both parties need more training.
