Definitely would have blown well over the limit if they pulled him over. generally the cops know to have an unmarked car a block ahead, so as to pull those over who do a sudden turn when they see the flashing lights, and get the real drunk drivers.
@@SeanBZA I do know some who had 2 cops doing the RBT on the main road... and eight doing the not so random "self nominators" on the last side road before the RBT.....
@@JohnSmith-pl2bk They used to do the booze bus right across the road from me. with a unit in the only lane before closing it off. I would drive up, and just before turn, and drive into my place. Even if they did mange to make me blow it would have been 0.00 anyway, designated driver always.
I was a CFS volunteer for several decades. Some people don't even slow down going through a road crash scene. UNTIL.... As soon as they introduced "blue" (as well as red) lights, and we had new reflective vests (similar to police), we were STUNNED at behaviour at the next road crash. Country road on a Saturday night, a full 1/3 of cars would STOP (way short), U-Turn and BOLT. Didn't expect that.
i was going to say they were brave.. but it's more likely they don't know how aggressive swans can be. (i loved the applause though, that was adorable) 😝

17:13 🤣The cammer's reaction to the vehicle behind beeping him. He's right thought. Don't go unless it's safe to do so. He could have been t-boned by the white car.
2 things... It constantly staggers me how many ppl are happy to drive at speed, and with zero awareness, past a lane of stopped or slowing traffic. It also amazes me how many ppl can't drive to what is happening in front of them and vary their speed to allow traffic ahead to clear before they get there. It's not "defensive driving" to consider these things... it's just "driving"
In the vast majority of these clips, the 'inciting incident' of whatever happens is someone's impatience getting the better of their judgement. Possibly multiple someones The rest are down to someone's incompetence. Scarily often, it's both.

it was my fave clip.. i wish i could be that jovial when i'm driving. I'm usually spending too much time just trying to not die. I think I might employ this laughter approach in the future 🙂
Irresponsible for sure, but clean and controlled unlike amateur commodore "racing drivers" that just stack their rear wheels up the curb by adding far too much power
A lot of the people submitting footage here are part of the problem. Slow down and give people space to do stupid shit so you don't get hit. You don't get any awards for over taking the next car, in an infinite line of traffic...
@@patheddles4004 No point getting angry about it. Either just let the idiot in & don't let them live rent free in you head, or _commit_ & let them hit you. @@SteveBbb-y6d that too. Alot of dashcams drivers feel entitled because they have a dash cam. They'll literally drive into people just to prove they were in the right, all because they have a dash cam
I'd back it in, London to a brick, that most of the 'wrong side of the road drivers' are listening to directions on their GPS. Most likely NOT in English. VicRoads was training their licence testers to take new drivers through tests with translators in the vehicle with them. If the person taking the driving test cannot verbally understand English how are they going to read the road signs?? We've allowed standards to slip so badly due to what 'feels' like racism. I wouldn't move to a foreign country and expect to drive on their roads without learning to read the signs in that language. That'd be ridiculous.
18:26 The bloke driving the Kluger did the wrong thing, but he was indicating what he was going to do for an eternity. DC driver had all the time in the world to avoid that.
There was another truck one where it was alongside the ute, (ute skids and hits pole) and on 2nd viewing can see the truck was about 50cm over the lane marker, either changing lanes or taking too much space and the ute driver I guess realised his piece of road surface was rapidly running out... that could have also ended so much worse (e.g the car hits pole and spins under that or the following truck).
@@TonyHamlyn I was going up a mountain road, 200 metre drop off on my left and the two lanes merging into one just ahead; trucker decided I was being too slow and overtook. Which meant, of course, he slowed down because his load was much heavier, but not to worry, me, my panicking mother (me driving thank goodness) still had some nasty gravel we could drive on...Too bad for us if I'd panicked and spun off over the mountain side by being idiotic and slamming my brakes on instead of merely slowing down while we ran out of both road and verge...Most truck drivers are great. That one was definitely looking for some diversion. Like seeing two women get killed...Some drivers have poor attitudes.
That first one is a pet hate on mine. The car that crosses the centre on the road has to give way to anyone oncoming who is on their side of the road. The other car passing parked cars is way over the middle, but gets pissed off when the cam-car doesn’t stop to let him through. It is amazing how many people demand to be let through first regardless of the situation.
Theres 2 roads near my place that have people parking both sides and just enough to fit 1 car down the middle. Usually getting through half way someone turns the corner and you meet head on, someone has to reverse back, usually have to deal with someone who thinks I should go back and I have 4 cars behind me. Road is next to a school too so its usually full at drop off and pick up times. I have even stopped to wait for the car coming to get through and car behind me overtakes to also end up stuck.
Well it depends. Generally just waiting for the other car to pass since he was almost at the end was probably the best way to go. Sure there was a spot for him to pull into, but was it worth the drama? If there was no space for the oncoming car to move into, then the cam car would have to wait because the oncoming vehicle was already overtaking the parked cars when he arrived.
Yeah, but cam car driver gets irrationally angry as though there's no logical reason for the other car being on the wrong side of the road. Like calm down fella.
23:53 the way the mother swan looked at the humans for help, and then gave a nod of thanks, is so surreal and gorgeous. She had asked for help, she knew they were there to help, not to hurt her young, and she was so thankful for the help. Beautiful moment.
11:50 What he was doing I call a Canberra left hand turn. It requires the driver to move to the centre of the road, bully any cars in front of them to move over to the left lane, then get ahead of the car in the left lane and swiftly move to the far left exit by drifting across all two or three lanes and off. It happens on the Parkway/Interchange frequently as if it was taught to them during their learner driver lessons.
Doesnt matter who appears fking right you idiots, the thing is, you dont know what kinda psycho or cop for that matter is in the car that your going to play policeman for.
13:59 Fun fact: every ski season in New Zealand there are bellends that have to have their SUVs towed because they don't actually know how to engage 4WD in their compensators
@@damonjones4972 My understanding is that you are allowed to drive onto them, but that you have to give way when driving off them, as though you were re-entering the road again. But that advice goes back to my teenage driving lessons, and I don't care to say how long ago that was.
I think, though am not sure, that might wrong. I was failed on my first license test because I didn't check my mirror for any parked cars pulling out from the shoulder before merging into a left turn lane that had just tapered into existence. Given that I would have still had right of way over a parked car leaving the kerb (placing the parked car driver at fault), I assume the implication is that changing lanes without checking your mirror (or indicating) is an offence in itself. Idk for sure, but I don't have much time for the "I turn now" crowd.
Maybe they should put some more money into some in depth driving lessons for everyone trying to obtain a licence, defensive driving lessons etc. When I got my licence it was a short drive around town doing 50km nearly the whole time and one 3 point turn; fortunately I had some good drivers to teach me the rest and my brain works pretty well regarding common sense😂 but some people aren't so 'lucky'... apparently..

I reckon when the lights change red, tyre shredding spikes should deploy across the line. Emergency vehicles can have a deactivation switch to remove them when necessary If not spikes, then a mounted auto-tracking gatling gun where speed the red light camera used to be

2:45 Why do people always speed in the left lane when the cars in the right lane are all stationary? Your chance of getting into a collision like this one is almost 100%!
I've done it many, many times and not had an accident yet. Lots of times there'll be a slip lane on the left and 2 lanes stopped at the red. Happens a lot.

Whilst the car entering the roundabout was in the wrong at 1:58, it’s important to note that the dashcam driver was not driving defensively. He in fact sped on that roundabout, whilst others in this compilation were in similar situations, and managed to avoid an accident by being cautious when merging on the roundabout.
Who's one car ahead? At the start there is a blue car in front of the blue car on the left. Later you see that first blue car 2 spaces ahead, meaning the blue car zippered correctly. The white car was the pushy bastard.
@@seastnsw The attitude of the white car. I see this all the time, and it frustrates me to no end because for some reason people can't handle being one car behind another.
It's just evidence of the dumbest kind of driver on the road. You think about it logically, the most likely case is the other driver on the road with you is going to follow the road rules. The white car is expecting the blue car to break the road rules and let them go in front, and gets mad that doesn't happen. It's the dumbest possible expectation to have in that scenario.
