Sound is muted to avoid copyright with the radio. fast forward to 8:55 for the spin out. Time is off by one hour. it's 9pm not 10PM. Heavy, wet, waterlogged snow. Recorded Jan 12th 2024. First major storm of the season. Freeways are supposed to be plowed first but they only did down the middle and trying to avoid the ruts ended up getting into the plow remains and lost control. Once stopped i couldn't even turn the wheel cause the snow was preventing it. trying to get free you could smell the burning rubber from the tires. Surprised I didn't hit the wall. Doesn't appear any damage to the car was done.

Glad your wipe out wasn't a crack up. I saw you getting on the interstate and getting up around 50 mph in all that slop and was thinking that's way too fast and a couple seconds later you spun out. At least you were able to get back on your way fairly quickly with no damage or injuries. I hate driving in snow and always drive like an old Meme if i have to.

Definitely need to drive like an old lady in the snow. If others don't like it, let them go around you, then fishtail and wipe out themselves. It's every man for himself. There were many times I was on the road in the snow, going to a dead end retail job, and all for what? Each and every time, I knew it would have been a much better idea to call out. One time my door froze open on my old Chevy, no matter how hard I slammed it, it was like you didn't close the door good enough. And the whole way it seems like it's going to pop open. Another time I remember going in and watch a guy wipe out into a light post, and I watched the light come crashing down. I was only a few blocks from home, that should have been an immediate sign to turn around and go home. But instead I risked my life. The last time, I was driving in, in heavy snow, and two cars were getting it on under an overpass. Yes, one car was ON TOP OF the other. Sick part is that's not the first time I've seen that. Because the underpass was blocked, I had to get off using the exit for the other direction. I made it on in and got to work. Throughout the day it became worse and worse and worse. The one time the boss was nice, he let me go an hour early. The roads were so bad it took 2 and a half hours to get home, which was 15 miles. As a gift for my service that day, a piece of sand or debris froze to the wiper blade and scratched my windshield. The next day I think the planet shut down because of the snow. The day after I swore that the next threat of snow, I'm not coming in. Unfortunately, my gallbladder exploded before then, so I was never able to exercise that. Very fortunate that guy in the truck with the flashy lights came so quickly. That wasn't too too bad in the end. Could have been much worse. Definitely lucky, and it's nice to have luck on your side.

I didn't even call roadside. Either one of the semis radioed it in or he was out patrolling looking for stuck cars or did it out of kindness.

@@lexmarks567 I don't think if you even called roadside, they would have been there that fast. Somebody was looking out for you that day for sure.
