Thank you for the comparison. I agree with you, the larger one is much better suited. I found the mini one made the egg bites way too small. I ended up returning it to Amazon for a refund and will buy the larger one instead. I will also order 4 of the larger cups, a perfect solution.
Suggestion: Put your additions in the oiled cups FIRST, THEN pour in the beaten egg. Better control of how full the cups become, PLUS when you pop the bites out, the bottom has a better presentation (decorated with the ingredients you added) and you don't need to flip them over 'right-side up'. The Family-size Egg Bite Maker could make a wonderful personal pizza. -1/ea Stonefire Naan -several Tbsp Pizza Sauce -cover with shredded pizza cheese to taste -basil, rosemary, oregano (or Italian seasoning) to taste Spray or wipe heating plate with oil. Place Naan on heating plate, close, and cook to desired doneness.
Thank you...I was wondering what the difference was...Great Job! I absolutely love my Minis by Dash. The rice cooker makes an outstanding Egg/Frittata too!
Not all the mini egg bite makers come with the sandwich size molds. I’ve bought 3 at 3 different stores. Two for me and one as a gift. I liked the results and preheating the water while making the egg mixture saves time. I read that the larger one didn’t cook all the eggs evenly so that’s why I passed on the family size. But started making egg bites in my 3 quart instant pot where I can fit a whole egg in one hole and each mold has 4 molds and came with 2 molds. I might buy the 2 pack molds for my 8 quart that will do 7 egg bites each one?
I've seen these online, they look like they would be great. A QUESTION: Are the little Cup Inserts HARD Silicone (like Plastics) or SOFT Silicone (like Egg Rings)? The Mini would be a great addition for use in my MOTORCOACH or my Conversion Van for camping.
They are easy to manipulate by hand in sink not hard formed thankfully or id probably get frustrated and toss em by now, Ive been making egg bites and cheese alot lately with the bigger ones.
I ordered the small one, going to be here tomorrow! I have some square silicone baking containers I do eggs in now. I’m hoping one of those will fit in it. It makes the eggs the same size as a slice of bread. My husband loves his egg sandwich. It might be to tall or not leave any room for water though. I will find out tomorrow! He might have empty corners in his bread. I have several of the tiny dash products and like them.
Great video! Have you tried making cakes inside the larger cups in the family size egg maker ? Like pineapple upside down or chocolate, etc? Keep up the great videos 👍🏼
Yes but it's not quite a perfect fit really a lot of the times I'm putting more in the larger unit even with smaller cups the kids like to mix and match egg bites
@@BonsaiKeto I drive truck for a living.the little cups r to small for me and the 1200 watts will blow my inverter.the smaller unit work better power wise just not cop wise
I have the Dash Bundt maker and use it for brownie cakes, which turn out very well. I had plans for cornbread but haven't gotten around to making them. In another video, a grilled cheese sandwich browned and crisped nicely with melty cheese and it didn't smash the bread either. Looked tasty.
@@dianaduong This morning i went out there and the larger cups you can squeeze 2 into the smaller units area, kitty cornered but its tight, what's funny is the piece i like is the full size sandwich one and that fits in the small perfectly, so whenever I use it that's what I use, those little ones to me are too small more of a pain to work with for a small bite, Stace likes em for cheese and egg poppers almost...
@@RandomStuffWithBill great to know. i'm thinking the small cups are going to be too little for me too. lol! that settles it, i'm gonna go with the larger size egg bites maker 😊
