Just a minor piece of info if anyone watches this year-old video - I use sugar in my ice cream, and I'm not trying to convince anyone else to do that. But just as an FYI, sugar actually makes a difference in ice cream texture. So if anyone has their ice cream coming out too hard after they give it a little time in the freezer, it might be because of other sweeteners.

You can do this in a jar in the freezer, just shake and stir every once in a while

Seems like a bit of work, I just put milk, sugar, flavor, in a baggie squish around inside a second bag of ice and salt. GOES FAST especially for just a single serve

Just got one for Christmas and the directions say "The freezer temperature must be at least -2 degrees F for the Cooling Bowl to freeze properly." Is this implying that it *should* be colder or *could* be warmer? Will a common household freezer even go to -2 degrees F?

Most typical normal freezers are set around around 0° at the warmest so you should be good to go. I think it’s safe to say that it is telling you the hottest temperature it will function at

Are the pint recipe proportions listed somewhere? I have one and want to make Coach Becky's ice cream in my mini ice cream maker ❤️

I asked Becky about it once and she said she just makes the full recipe and then just uses the cup called for... So that's what I've done even though it seems like at that point I should just throw it in my bigger ice cream maker. I tried to convert her recipe to a single serve to fit the Dash and for some reason it didn't turn out good at all. Not sure what I did wrong. 🤷‍♀️ Wish I could be more help... 🙂
