The problem isnt Hak vs Midway. The problem is that AA has gotten way out of hand in this game. But of course Mr Big shot BB goes out alone, gets singled out and erassed and goes to the forums to bitch about how CVs are OP
the problem is that the midway had so many planes in the hanger that you could dominate in long battles. CVs are most effective in the late game, when the enemy carrier has lost planes an the AA modules of enemy ships are partially destroyed (3 conqueror HE salvos can destroy all of montana's AA). if you have a ton of planes left, you have a huge advantage. also in the early game you can play less conservative with your planes, since you have so many left.
Midway has never truly been balanced properly, having such a large hangar capacity creates problems. She has changed quite a lot over the years and the current setup is not really any better.
Midway had more planes in its hangar, more planes in the air AND stronger planes then the Hakuryu, it was about time the thing got nerfed. The whole point/idea of japanese carriers was that they would have smaller hangars to compensate for having more planes (NOT squads!) in the air then their american counterparts to give them like a Pearl Harbor feel where their initial strike was very powerful but they couldnt handle long wars. Since Wargaming never followed up on that the Midway ended up dominating the sky, even when you picked 4 Fighter Squads a Midway could still kill them easy. The only thing Haku could do is guessing where the enemy fighters would go next to avoid them and strike some randoms ships on map border. It couldnt Fight over any Caps. The Midway would always dictate where the Haku(even if the Haku picked Air Superiority Build) was allowed to strike, because with the large plane pool it could even strafe under AA fire. All these nerfs and coming nerfs are supposed to disable Midways capability to just dominate the Sky without effort and bring the ships to a more equal level. This wasnt just player feedback but also all the statistics show that Midways in average shoot down almost 3 times as much planes as Hakuryus.
What part of the program do you use to key-frame the camera? I’ve got the controls for the free camera in replays, but it’s very hard to control. I’d like to have an easier time filming in the game
So more great changes and updates from the Developers! The Shimi change was a needed thing. I may start to play my Hipper/Prinze Eugen a bit more. we will see how it helps out.
soo with all these improved commanders my old 19 point captains are being power creeped. is there any chance that we can make it so all the training on 1 captain can be given to another captain in order like trading levels between them so my 19 pointer goes down 1 level to raise another captain of the same nation up by 1 level. or give the other captain the equivalent EXP so the last 19 captain skill at 300k the 300k exp goes to the new commander

Hey, do you think you guys could add a compass somewhere on the screen, somewhere near the top middle would probably be best, and thr compass would have degree bearings from 1 to 360, to help coordination? For example two people playing together would be goin together and would say “my bearing is 322” and the other ship would be able to match course.

After the American cruiser split, so probably September/October. I'm waiting too; will be fun to see what Tier 2 brings, but I reckon she will be a lot like an Umikaze albeit with Vampire torpedoes and guns.
Yes the Vampire torpedoes would be the unique trait of the line. Amazon (D39) should be around Tier 4 or 5, one of Tribal Class at Tier 7 or 8, and one of the L-Class at Tier 9. The Tier 10 would be W or Z-Class.
Not as shit as the Japanese Destroyers though (except Akizuki). For example; Vampire (it's British-made but operated by the Royal Australian Navy). Her guns don't lob the shells too high like the American Destroyers do, her torpedo range is slightly below her surface detection range (but still longer than the Russian Destroyers use). Plus the sequential torpedo launching (one-by-one) which can ensure the whole salvo hits the intended target at mid range. Her drawbacks would be concealment (stealth torping is only possible with concealment build), Just hope they give the British Destroyers HE shells because it is beyond ridiculous for ships with small guns can only shoot AP shells.

I would love to see a new port based on the same idea as what's in the intro clip. I think that a floating dry dock in a pop-up port built along the French coastline would be really sweet kinda like the ones that the Allies set up to help transfer the huge quantity of supplies being brought over.
I am a little nervous about the "leaving the battle early" thing. In 0.7.2 and 0.7.3 I was having some stability issues, with random crashes to desktop, or even full system crashes. Hopefully the game differentiates between people pressing the return to port button and crashing out.
I tried to warn you but you didnt listen to me.. now check how midway will perform against hakuryu in ranked. but oh wait.. there will be no midways anyway
I mean its a shame in a game that you put so much effort to improve it, to make so bad balance changes. Sorry wargaming but i still dont approve the Midway changes,also now agaisnt 3 fighters (or more) you will be forced to play passive. and passive gameplay usually brings more loses

Every time I get a Team Kill is because someone about to die crossed in front of me when I was firing HE shells and I set them on fire. I get Pink for dealing 500 hp damage to a dying ship when I shouldn't. I find this really frustrating.
So apart from repair party for Prinz Eugen, does it get better guns. Despite it being a Heavy Cruiser in real life, in game the ship is really under powered.
Grinded Midway and just got it fully upgraded for ranked. Safe to say I have no quit the game. The first Midway nerf wasn't need but that is just taking the piss.
at least WG seems to have recognized the mistake they made when putting meathead in charge of the cc's when he clearly didn't have any clue of how to run things, and just decided to jump the gun and retaliate against people who didn't agree with WG
I miss the time, when MM allowed teams to be different, so they had to use different tactics to win. That was just better. But well, you could maybe ask, what mode I want to play in? Or you have a too small player base?
Millenial kids needed safe space from skilled players - so WG makes WOWS less and less chalenging - only to get the final patch 10.0 where there will be only one map - Ocean - and one ship to choose.
Yep. Nothing better than getting shafted because the other team gets a DD in a domination match and yours doesn't. Maps aren't mirrored. Spawns aren't mirrored and ships are not going to be mirrored after 7.4 either.
Besides - what are the most epic, fun and memoriable battles - the ones that odds were against you - but you won them - like one cruiser like DD (Khaba) versus 2 normal DDs.
Took the time to watch the whole video, and am hoping there's a system timer judging afk's. If so I beliv eve even with my concerns myself and all should be happy enough. Hope to obtain the new Russian Capt. I did take USSR DD's to I think tier 5 before mothballing them to buy BB's etc. And back with US tier 5 DD'd and soon the Farragut, then my tier 5 0r 6 IJN.
