Dashcam - Hwy 58 through Oakridge, Oregon and back 

This is nice. Been thinking of living in Oregon and a friend said this was a good place. It was lovely to get a video tour .. god it's beautiful

If I am not mistaken - and this was 40 years ago, I was 3 - the white building on the left side of the screen at 0:30 was once Miller's Automotive, briefly, in 1984. Jim and Mickey Prater were long-time residents of the town, and invited my grandparents (Grandma was Jim's younger sister) up to re-establish themselves. My grandparents gathered their kids and their sole grandchild and made the move, I believe in the summer of 1984. My grandfather and two uncles opened an auto repair shop, but unfortunately after the humid climate didn't agree with my grandmother, we packed back up and moved back to Texas that winter.

my old stomping grounds lived there from 78 to 85 ! Great place to grow up would love to retire there one day.

Thank you for this tour. We just drove through a few days ago and there was a fire in the distance. Today the hwy is closed, whole town evacuated. 😔

Bought one of them cheap ones too. I like them and if you was in an accident it would be more then good enough quality as evidence. Nice looking town, loved the mountains in the back ground. Was surprised there was not more stop lights. Thanks for sharing, I grew up in the mountains and have lived on this flat desert land for 20 years, so I miss them..
