It is exactly right. While the tragedy and loss of two humans just doing their job isn't lost on me, and I imagine certainly not on the responding officers, they are sworn officers of the law. Justice is about just that, Justice... not vindication. We can only commend the responding officers for having clarity of mind to keep what are overwhelming emotions in check. They neutralized the assailant, apprehended him and summited him for processing into the legal system, where, the American public has , as the empowered jury of his peers convicted him of the crime, and a trained versed legal professional administered appropriate sentencing within the color of the law. Tragic events, 10/10 for the officers responding, a credit to the badge and their profession.
