Wife and I were cracking up when the map audio kept interrupting. Also good on you for calling support to cancel the order instead of unassigning and moving on. Get that $3 and stop the cycle.
Lol I love the term "upside down miles"! I got lost in a neighborhood and had to ask a kid to tell me how to get out of there. Lol he did thank goodness.
Great video I really enjoyed it. I love your sense of humor. I hate when you go somewhere to pick up an order and it’s already been picked up. Torchy’s in my area is horrible to pick up from because they’re always so slow and the wait time is always long.
😂😂😂GO-PRO!!!😂😂😂❤❤❤ You keep me laughing Mama. Those orders! My goodness 😢. Happy to see you made your goal. Those hours though😮. I'm happy for all the fun content ☺. Hello adorable children ❤❤😊. 7K subs coming up fast! Love it! Have a wonderful day. ❤❤❤
lol I’m glad I’m not the only one who yells at the gps. I finally muted my and I’m getting good at just following along with no voice. After watching a lot of these videos, and seeing what y’all get offered I need to be doing higher tips since it’s always a drive to my house. I usually do $10 but I will be doing more moving forward. Thank you for some better in sight.
I feel the same way how you feeling I’ve lived here in Jacksonville Florida and I’m doing DoorDash and also Uber eat! GrubHub doesn’t really have anything here in Jacksonville for me!! and sometime it frustrate me with all this trash orders especially here in Florida. Everything is by driving.
Hilarious !!! You are so funny! The gps interuption moments...🤣🤣🤣 Its getting rough out there for gig drivers...its becoming a big waste of time. Hope things change for the better soon. Good video !
Try dashing a during the busy times and during the promos. You make more money within a short period of time and the orders come in fast. I’ve been dashing since the summer and this works for me. My goal is to bring in $300 or more a week. I’m also dashing to get out of debt.
First time watching and yes indeed I subscribed! Enjoyed your ride along. Wish I had the patience. I do Shipt and Instacart and let me tell you. The amount of 🤬 I do doing those shop and delivery. I may want to try Door Dash and Uber Eats bc it looks like you just pick up and delivery. May help me to lessen the 🤬! LOL!
I dash in your same zone just found your channel. DD is such trash now. I have been full time for a year with over 6000 deliveries. I am not sure i'll be able to keep top dasher not sure if i have 100 deliveries for the month. Dash by time can work out especially if you are NOT near Chick-fil-a..
Awe loved this vlog you always make me smile , and at least you hit your goal, I needed cheering up as my car failed 😞 it’s MOT so in the garage till tomorrow, coil spring lots of pot holes out there x lol shouting in the car wash 😅😅😅
Heyyyyy your channel just came across my feed..I think we might be in the same area.... it's super chilly here for sure.... I'm a vanlifer/DDr on my 3rd winter here... and girl I'm with ya on total crap DD offers here.. my acceptance rate has been in single digits... I just can't make myself take crap orders though..lol anyways thanks for sharing bcuz DD can be SOUL sucking if you give in.. at over 4000 deliveries now when I reach that point I just have to end my dash and go to the beach and reset..lol
I used to be a diamond DoorDash, but now with my accepting rate is so low because of a trash orders complete me keeping me out of pocket! I am still a diamond for Uber. Eat with the same thing with trashy orders I said to myself what am I doing in this gig works!🤪
So last Friday my first 6 orders equaled $26 total. Yes terrible but most were like 1/2 mile I didn’t want my AR to drop but after that terrible 6 orders the 25 orders after that averaged $9 each. I feel like DD was testing me but I did my 6 charity orders then boom My last order today was $14 for 2 miles with an additional $15 cash tip. (I now know where not to dash on Friday mornings)
Hi there I was like watching your videos I was just wondering if you ever started from home and maybe wait around if you're busy in the area and then go back home when you're not and then try to take orders that way that's what I do but I live in a small town of a little over a 7000 population
I feel you. I park right by the Starbucks. They have Wi-Fi I can use from the parking. When a Starbucks order comes in. I’m like - Yup, I’m here. 😂😂 Oh, I feel you when I miss the turn. I did that the other day out in the boonies. I’m like “NOOOOO!” 😡 Yes, I took a Target today and yesterday. It’s a gamble when you don’t know what is on the list. When I was doing Shipt, you could at least see what was on the list before you accepted. I got mad today when I accepted at $7.77 order. I was making a drop off and didn’t realize it was two orders. Same restaurant but two different drop offs. I was like UGH. I didn’t want to cancel it though. I don’t like when Uber rings you for another order when you’re at the drop off. It’s like can’t you wait til I’m done. I was thinking of doing that. Just take every order just to do it. I might regret it. But ya know I might be surprised. At least I’ll be ‘busy”
Wait, I’m confused. When you say the price, like $3 for Chipotle, is that how much they pay you to do the delivery or how much they ordered? Because what can you even buy at Chipotle for $3?
Doordash and uber is very much like a taxi business with the food being your passenger. If you actually were a taxi driver you would have a print out sheet that you filled out for each order. On that sheet you would also have to write your mileage at the beginning of shift. On there is a also few spots for gas. If you actually kept a written file of your trips you could see if this is putting more in a whole than removing debt. I would think if you actually kept a file that at the end you are in the whole. Oil changes, tires, maintenance on car, and gas has to be deducted from the money you make. This is why taxi's have a min fare. I know 10 years ago the min was around $6. The other thing is if you can write off all these cost on taxes. I wouldn't ever use my personal car to do this. My reason is because i ran a taxi business with my ex for over 20 years and see all the reasons you are being taken advantage of by these companies. Insurance companies are denying claims atm for everything in order to not pay for accidents. If they find out you were doing this kind of work they can claim you are NOT covered for the accident because you needed commercial insurance. Good luck and i hope things turn around for you.
What are your acceptance rates on each platform? I do DD and UE on the side as well and my market is 30 min north of Atlanta Ga. The orders I receive on DD make it fairly easy to keep my acceptance rate around 80%. However, with UE, I somehow cannot get my acceptance rate above 20%. 90% of the orders I receive on UE are upside down on miles or clearly no tip orders. I don’t get it. Like I said, DD seems to be the complete opposite and I always run both apps concurrently.
