I subscribed to your channel..I think you're awesome..ppl need to tip better.. I utilize instacart..doordash..etc..i always tip over 20%.. I really appreciate these shoppers that do my shopping come rain or shine...work in traffic..sometimes having to take detours due to closed roads..and shop during chaotic holiday times..thank you for your services..!
I feel nothing should come in under $4:00 its such a time waster it must be hard to get these orders filled so they need to raise the levels up. It drives me crazy & I know nothing about how these systems work their numbers but $2 is too low lol
I truly admire your tenacity. You are obviously a great person, a great mom, & determined person. You will reach your goals. And I look forward to watching your journey.
Would be nice if you could set order limits in the apps. Like $5 minimum or $1 per mile minimum so you don't get spammed with orders you would never take.
If they did that they couldn't get the other ones delivered then the apps would probably bankrupt they have to get the other ones out eventually The ones that are below those minimums you are stating it's kind of crazy but is logical!
Yeah but the para app does not work with doordash anymore so it sees the point but Uber it still does work and GrubHub you always have to redo your credentials with it it's crazy
Ya'll wondering what her acceptance rate is are crazy... you shouldn't take anything less than $1 per mile trust me being top clown (aka top dasher) means absolutely nothing
I’m doing the same thing you are basically. I worked for Walmart for 17 years and I quit back in June. Only job I had with money coming in was a seasonal support driver for UPS for 2 months. Then I decided to give DoorDash and Uber Eats a try full time. This week is my 3rd week and so far so good. Could be a little better but I’m gonna keep on trucking! I live in Ocala, Florida btw.
Hopefully with Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day and the Super Bowl you’re able to more than match your goal. Maybe those days will help. Fingers crossed.
AND food for thought. I believe God had to give me this wisdom. I'm too stupid to think of it by myself. Lol. The house I bought after getting out of debt finally, was a one story ranch house, noting fancy but very nice. After being an empty nester, I rented out one end of the house 2 BR ONE BATH, to a man who just needed a place to live inexoensively. I made a front window into an exit door and closed off the hallway between our spaces. He came with excellent references. Lived there for years. It was 500 month all his UT included. Helped me out on all UTs ! THEN my autism 1 grandson now 24, moved in the space! He draws SS and works part time job also. Does need guidance at times, but how perfect! So consider options down the road before buying a house. Think outside the box.
Added in a large closet in the space, a long table with a coffeepot, microwave, air fryer. One of the rooms was used as bedroom, the other was long area. I put a small 3/4 fridge in the long space. Or it could have gone in closet.
I had a customer complain about DD delivering to the wrong address. I mentioned to him that he can go into his DD account and reposition the red pin to his correct location. When I delivered to him again last week, he said he repositioned the pin and hasn't had any problems since. I had to reposition the pin in my account as well because DD had it located four houses away!
Hello. This is an interesting experiment you are doing. I will be curious when the month is over to hear the results and your thoughts. Don't forget to deduct expenses/taxes after your months total. Drive safe! Good luck 🤞
Thank you for your honest assessment of the typical orders. I've just started out on this as my second job. I like the approach of miles not being upside down.
I see you doing your thing. Be safe. Keep up the good work. When you take your lever, absent for a while. You will get some rest and do better and your other journey.
Keep on keeping on Mama! You will see the light at the end of the tunnel! I have an Autistic grandson. We found out a crucial game changer for him regarding confusion, meltdowns, sleep etc. you may already be aware of it. Because of the dyes #5 yellow, red 40, The only drink he drinks are Gatorade ZERO OR G2 BLUE glacier flavor. It seems to be not affect g him and also being G2 or ZERO, and Milo tea YELLOW label (half glass or cup with added half water. His behavior improved within 2 days and the melatonin at night. I know it's hard. Praying for your SS to go through. Keep all your papers, add and send in every documentation you have such as hospital visits, school notes. Go go go ! 😉 I was a single mother for 13 years and very little child support or family support. I worked full time. I had supper in crockpot cooking while at work, I went into my pantry before going to store. If I had spaghetti in pantry, I bought spaghetti sauce sauce. If I had soup, we had soup one night. If I had hamburger meat in freezer, I bought buns and same with hot dogs. If you all have Dollar Tree, you will be surprised at name brand safe things they have. The teaching fun workbooks and regular books and coloring books are OUTSTANDING!
When I have done this Uber Eats in the past. I found that sometimes they would give you a low order. Like $3 or $4 to go, maybe 5 to 10 miles. But when you accept it and then as you're driving to that destination. If they have other orders at that same location or near by then they start handing you lots of orders to you. Which can then bring you up to like $9 to $15 dollars quiclky something to maybe test out. Because I think they kind of know, yeah, people don't want to drive 17 miles for $2, but I think what they're hoping is that if you drive that far for $3 to 7, then they'll just add more orders on to make you earn more money as they know it's difficult to get people to drive that far so they. Try to lump all the tiny orders together. Give you 2 or 3 and then as soon as you're done delivering They'll load you up with orders in that area. So that you're making lots of money after the long drive there. So something to keep in mind that they sometimes do that if they are low in drivers in that area and if you go then they reward you with higher order numbers now it's not 100% but if you know where you are going hasxa lot of restaurants and grocery stores it may be a gooid risk to take as all drivers on it like that they are trying to keep you constantly driving and Unlike DoorDash, where they'll sometines make you return back to your home base sometimes before they hand you another order and make you wait a long time for a new order
I tested that yesterday. 3 pick ups, same restaurant, all to same college campus. It ended up at a whole $11.85 for 26 mins. Just not worth it! And in LA with pouring rain. And I mean pouring! The problem with campus rides/deliveries is that you have to drive very slowy thru campus. Then exit campus, otherwise campus security will move you along & threaten to ticket you.
I don't think I've seen you dirty stack before, if you are not worried about DD completion % I would leave DD on when picking up UE offer and vice versa to see if you can stack orders. I think that will help you periodically hitting your goal quicker here and there if done correctly.
I hit a pole not a light pole though. Pizza hut corporate had a metal pole put in right where I pickup in front of the light pile. I was shaken car scratches guess that will learn me to slow my behind down when backing up.😅
My personal experience is delivering food the worst side hustle ever. Driving around trying to figure out where apartments and all that waiting for food is not worth. I did Uber eats for 1 day and got tired of this bs lol I’m doing Lyft now and I can’t complain at all, easy to pick up passengers and drop them off and you make way more money with less effort.
Just found your channel by accident. But see you doing this in Pinellas county where I live. I've been driving a cab forever and ready to get out. This delivery stuff seems like I'd enjoy it. I have a '22 Prius which is probably perfect for the job. I'll be watching most of your videos. I watch a few who do this all over the country. Seems it would be cool. I know I won't get rich at it. Any tips to get started?
I am not sure what is happening with DD. I have a 4.99 customer rating and had a 71% acceptance rating. Went out yesterday at dinner time and was sent every crappy low paying non tipping order. I did not accept them as they were a waste of gas and time. I made 4.25 in 1/12 hours. Now this drops my acceptance rating. It is becoming harder to make extra income using it.
I haven’t got any orders from uber eats for the past two weeks? I notice the place I got a few orders was near the airport. I just think it’s not very well known in my area
I’m really curious about how you hold the Go Pro to film your pick-ups and drop-offs. You seem to have a more discreet way of doing it than the gigtubers who walk around with it strapped to their chest… maybe you could stop in front of a mirror and show us one day? (Or maybe I’ve just watched too many dasher videos and am starting to lose it? 😅)
I've never shopped and delivered at Aldi's, but you have to buy bags there. Does DD or UE allow you to include the purchase of bags in the app and will the shopping card still authorize the purchase? That is probably the reason why I've never wanted to go there. TY for the help!
I am curious… how often do people tip you in cash above what they tip in the app? I occasionally throw an extra $5 in cash. Would it be better for me to add the entire amount in the app? Just want to do the right thing.
