Yeah, I saw the trailer for that movie, and apparently, they decided to boost diversity by completely changing Santa Claus's color. Now he's black, as if that's the only way to modernize an old tradition. What's the next step, a rainbow Santa with a politically correct gift list? Honestly, it's not that I'm against diversity, but this seems more like a publicity stunt than a genuine step forward. It looks like they're trying to pat themselves on the back for daring to change the color of a character that, until now, was as white as snow. It's diversity being pushed too hard, and it does more harm than good by fueling controversies instead of promoting real understanding among people.
Can they just make good movies like how good The Grinch was and Home Alone, etc. Why do they keep trying to make Christmas movies overly funny now but they're not all that funny.
Those reviews usually come from focus groups who get to watch films before they are released and give their honest feedback. Focus groups are beneficial to the film industry and their opinions have even been known to change endings of films. These ratings before a film is released comes from those groups.
