In this video we take a quick look at the last frequency counter in the repair line for a bit. My plan for this counter is to make it so that I have a counter readout on the 7603 scope. I will use the vertical out and run that to the counter. So that the same signal that is running on the on the probe and selected as the vertical trigger signal for the scope will be counted. It also helps that this scope can take the 10Mhz from the RB standard as its clock as well as well as goes to 100Mhz which matches the scope bandwidth. So it appears that the match-up is well suited for this function.
** Repair exposes the Tech to mains electric and should only be done by trained personnel. Errors can be fatal. **

There is some more 4xx content in line for the bench. I might have to make this specific content a Patron video for a detailed servicing.

I hope you have also some more videos for 7k and 500/5000 from Tektronix planned? Not many people produce content for these.

Due to some timing for equipment movement I had to burn thru the equipment that needed to travel back. However I do have a bunch of 7xxx and 5xx/5xxx content in line for the bench. Including some 7904 non a’s as well as a 7503. I also still have some ongoing 7854 projects as well as a full alignment of at least 2 7854’s. And If I recall from the tech I got the 7904’s from one is supposed to have a power supply that I will need to troubleshoot. As well as a large batch of 500 plugins that I need to get checked. So more is always on the way.

Did you steal that scrolling warning at the beginning of your video from xraytonyb? 😁

Not as far as I know, it has been the same since video #5 I think. We all have similar issues of repair can be inherently dangerous but the risks can be mitigated with training and experience. I have spent many an hour around equipment that not only could kill be but would not even try doing it. Xraytonyb works in a similar field, My personal experience is not in medical imaging and is more industrial. But the end result is the same. On certain systems we both have zero margin of error. So if I seem to overdo some of the safety aspect of things it is out of respect for the hazard and my strong desire to remain above the grass at the end of the day.
