claire, you have no idea how much this has helped me. I have been so stressed with searching articles for my dissertation and this video just made my life 10x better. God bless you!
Thanks a lot Claire you have really encouraged more people to move on with their career dream;may the almighty God continue to bless you and provide you with whatever good you desire to achieve.
Hi Claire, you don’t realise what you have just done for me, saved not only time but also my sanity! I was wondering why I wasn’t getting many papers on my topic! Many thanks for your support with this. Xx
thank you so much for this, I have struggled so much with the database searching and have lost so many marks. this is invaluable to me and I'm sure many other students. your amazing xx
khadijah abdelillah Thank you so much! Honestly, I was struggling so much! 🙈 these little things have made a massive difference to me! I hope it helps others out there ☺️ glad it’s helped you xx
Hi Claire i do need help i have searched (Patient Experience Chronic disease ) in CINAHL Database but i am ending up getting 1962 results. can someone help med to reduce to a resonble result.
Wow Claire this has helped me so so much. I’ve managed to get my search down to 40 rather than thousands! We need to get it down to 6 to do our dissertation, do you have any other tips on how best to do this? I’ve tried all the usual like English, dates etc. I’m looking at the impact nutrition has on wound healing! Xxx
I think we have to whittle it down further or be able to explain why we picked them, for example there was duplicates which would elongated x amount etc! X
Claire, do you have any advice on which data base is best to evidence based software platform to upload the citations from multiple database? For example, I know there is Covidence and Zotero! Any advice with this would be much helpful and appreciated. Many thanks in advance xx
Hi Claire, great tutorial. I'm trying to use CINAHL but the link doesn't seem to be taking me to the same page you are getting. I don't seem to be coming to the generic search page. Any help?
Different university libraries may have different customised views of the Cinahl database via the Ebsco platform, best bet is to ask your university library
CINAHL complete seems to be only for institutional libraries. Im away from my university as it is shut because of covid. is there any way to access it?
What topics do you enjoy most? Think about what things you enjoy on your course, placement etc. Cardiac, diabetes, asthma, wounds, patient safety, staffing, etc Go with what you love :) x
@@ClaireCarmichael omg thank you for replying!!xx I enjoyed my general surgery placement and hoping to find a job in a surgical area too. But I’m not sure what specially I wanna look at in the surgical field. I’m just so worried I might fall behind cause it’s due on May and my friends have already found their articles whereas I’m still deciding on what topic to look at
@@ssol2056 you’re welcome! Aw well that’s a good start! I like surgery too :) Maybe just have a Google / search for surgery research topics and see what’s around. What about something around pain management after surgery? Or why physios get patients up and moving 4 hours after surgery? ❤️ xx
